For those who do not understand: The picture above shows Elliot Rodgers, a sociopath who murdered six people because he felt he was rejected by girls. His story is a sad one. I know not whether to feel pity or disgust towards him. Look him up if you need the grisly details. I shan't recount them here.

@GrandCarnifex, Regardless of what happened, it doesn't justify the murder of six people. We have a horrid inability, as a culture, to perceive evil actions as evil, and tend towards justifying them, or pitying the one enacting them. Ultimately, even as a sociopath, he made a choice. A choice to kill six other people. Yes, there can be pity for the wrongness that lead him to that. But regardless of what "measure" of what happened, it doesn't justify his actions.

@GrandCarnifex, it's not a lack of empathy on my part. I really feel for people who, like he did, felt unwanted. However, you should not defend his actions is what I'm saying. If you've seen the video this guy uploaded on to YouTube, he talks in a very sadistic and narcissistic way, saying how he is the ideal guy for girls and such, and "I will have my revenge." This extremely selfish and sociopathic mindset is not something we as a people should tolerate.

@Arbitrage L, Evil is based on perspective, it doesn't exist. There is no "good" or "evil", everyone views these things differently. If you knew about the situation, then you would feel differently. Read a few pages of his manifesto, watch a few of his videos. He was a very sad human being. This is what happens when individuals are rejected the way he was. In part, it's society's fault for shunning people the way it does.

@AliG, His misogyny played a major part of it. He felt that women were only good for sex. Because he couldn't get laid, he thought that he was a greater than human and had to eradicate all sex from the world. He also wanted to repeat the Holocaust with women in place of Jews because he felt "mistreated". He described being extremely jealous as a child because his friends would hang out with other people, and now he was jealous of men that were having sex. He was obviously mentally unstable, but his misogyny and narcissism fueled his insanity.
See you soon!
