OK kids. This community is largely filled with middle school and high school aged kids which is totally fine (I've had this app since high school) but there is a lot being said about hating life and suicide. Being someone who is a little older I just want to let you know that your problems will never be completely gone. They change but there will always be something out there. And that's alright Cuz that's just life! There are also amazing things that will happen to you and make the problems seem non existent. We all have things that bring us down and lift us up. All we can do is enjoy the ride, learn from our mistakes and let our misfortunes make us stronger people. :)
@K1LLKENNY, well said. As a 33 year old I completely agree. It's absolutely amazing how life DOES change, and as bad as things can be, IT WILL PASS WITH TIME. You've only got one life, never give up on it kids.
@K1LLKENNY, thank you friend:) I'm a freshman and needed to hear this. Thank you c:
@K1LLKENNY, We only have one life, we shouldnt let the bad thing in life get us down but rather look foward towards the good things in life. Sure things can be rough and stuff once in a while but its those sweet memories we all hold dear to us that should make us look fowards to make new ones for ourselfs.
@K1LLKENNY, Why must you single out and disclude Kenny from your words of wisdom?
@K1LLKENNY, why would you tell a bunch of suicidal people that the problems never go away?!
@K1LLKENNY, Thank you! I'm in 8th and
@K1LLKENNY, honestly, if you are just unsure about yourself, or feel like you get picked on, just think to yourself, "Who gives a fvck?" I used to have really low self esteem but I cured it by not giving a damn what anyone else thought of me.
@K1LLKENNY, great post but I need some advice, I have a friend Who has been having some suicidal thoughts. I need something to convince her to stop thinking about suicide. Can you help?
@K1LLKENNY, I'm 15 right now, going into high school, and I've been through depression, and I once planned out my own suicide. Being through all of this, I feel much older than I am, but being the same age, I know what it's like for us. All I can say to help is that there is so much more to life than what is making you sad right now. I know it's easier said than done, but look on the brighter side of things. Life is an amazing thing that a lot of people take for granted, and this whole suicide event happening here is proof of it. Before you break out the knife or tie the noose, think about how lucky you are to be alive. Think about how you were the sperm that made the won. If none of this helps, wait a day. Go to sleep, wake up in the morning. Go outside, an just sit there in the sun and wonder if what you want to do is really the right thing to do. That's what got me through it, and I hope it helps everyone around here.
@OldmanWhilakers, you aren't understanding what he's saying. I think what he's trying to say is that just because something bad in your life happens, doesn't mean you should take it out on yourself. Instead, and don't take this the wrong way, just deal with it. Just move on in life, look a
@OldmanWhilakers, look back on these memories and learn from them.
@BatmanTheTurtle, look at my first comment
@K1LLKENNY, as a 15 year old girl going through a rough time this is amazing to hear, honestly. Thank you for this, it really means a lot, you're super rad
@RaggedyTaco, I was making a joke, though a bad one. A joke nonetheless
@Livinice, so glad to see another adult. Only 28 here, but I remember in HS, you didn't know everything would turn out ok
@greendaykilljoy, I'm 20 and had a rough time when I was in school I can confirm with them life does change for the better.
@K1LLKENNY, I'm only 21 but I've been on the app since I was about 15. I remember my life back then. Every negative thing just added up until the stress was so heavy suicide seemed like the only way out. I took a handful of pills from the medicine cabinet and went to sleep not expecting to wake up.. But that obviously didn't happen as planned. And I'm so thankful for it. I reached out to my parents and they got me the help I needed. As a teenager you may want to think you're independent and you very well may be... But never forget your parents or older siblings are very valuable. Chances are they've been there and they're willing to talk with you without judgement. If you don't feel comfortable with that call a hotline. Life will get better. Still sucks sometimes.. But I'm living proof you can overcome your situations. You get out of life what you put in. And you're definitely worth it. :* I love this community and I love all of you!
@K1LLKENNY, sixth form student here: i really needed to hear this :) I've been desperately struggling to pick a university course and it's been making me feel really down as I feel like I'm never good enough. My parents have doubts about my course choices and I feel like my AS exams went terribly :( I'm also worried about all my friends moving away and moving away from my brother :( hearing you guys who have actually lived and say that it's all ok is really uplifting so thank you :)
@K1LLKENNY, but if u off urself, all ur problems disappear. Forever.
@Thia, I'm glad you're still alive:) it wouldn't be the same with out you! I love you too!:)
@sexyvampireprincess, thank you, I'll keep at it :)
@RaggedyTaco, Truer words have never been spoken :) I'm glad you're alive and on this app, I'm a 14 year old and I understand exactly what you felt like. My parents are abusive, I've got backstabbing "friends", but ya know, life is pretty amazing, like you said, go do something that makes you happy. Thanks for commenting, it made me rethink some choices I might have made. And thank you most of all, for waking up, and living. Have a great day, friend:)
Guys: if you come to Tennessee, and from there come to Pigeon Forge, go to FoxFire Mountain. It's a great place for zip lining and they also have a few other attractions there. I went today and had a blast, and thought I'd share it with my other dysfunctional family.
