Something we can all agree on, and if you don't agree then I'll just have to assume that you!!!!.... Have a different opinion than me, and that's ok.
@KiritoSAOHero, a different opinion, on the Internet, have you learned nothing, that's NEVER okay.
@KiritoSAOHero, Except for skillet, I think they're pretty good.
@ archiethesailor, skillet, red, thousand foot krutch, day of fire, seventh day slumber, demon hunter, anberlin... jeez, I could go on and on with awesome christian rock bands.
@SWAT, you forgot the only one I ever tolerated, P.O.D.
@Metzger, ah yes! POD is great! If you tried some more out, I guarantee you'd find that there are some really awesome christian bands.
@SWAT, eh, I'll take my chances with what I'm familiar with already, lol
@Metzger, fair enough.
@SWAT, Haste the Day is my fave, Christian metallll ftw!
For King and Country is Awesome... if you don't know them look up "proof of your love" Their live performance is the best I've seen from any band!
@Pastor Addy, Your username makes me believe you are biased and will not like opinions of a metalhead.
@sombrero mop, nah, I'm open minded, but don't judge without listening to the music... people have their opinions... the song I mentioned isn't going to sound like megadeth, anthrax, or metallica to name a few, but i still like it, and my tastes have changed.
@Pastor Addy, agreed!
As a former metalhead and current christian, I can affirm that there are numerous amazing christian bands. I listed them already but check out bands like thousand foot krutch, red, skillet, switchfoot, demon hunter, kutless, seventh day slumber, ashes remain, Lifehouse, pillar, shall I go on?
@SWAT, yes you should go on! Newsboys, Dc talk, audio adrenaline, third day, jars of clay so many more!
@Pastor Addy, ok! Casting crowns, Chris tomlin, Matt redman, jesus culture, hillsong united, anberlin, tenth Avenue north, Natalie grant, hawk nelson, Meredith andrews, crowder. Since I'm on the subject, I'm a big holy hip hop fan, so for those who care, *takes deep breath* check out lecrae, tedashii, trip lee, kb, canton jones, Andy mineo, sho baraka, kj 52, 116 clique.
@SWAT, this made my day!
@Pastor Addy, I grew up as agnostic and listened to some very unholy music. So when I became a christian, I still loved to heavy styles of metal and hip hop, so i just started listening to the christian versions of the music I already loved. 😃
@SWAT, whoa whoa whoa... I dont see Jeremy Camp anywhere on this list. Shame!
@SWAT, you forgot 2 of the best bands: For Today and Impending Doom :P
@An Everyday Penguin, of course! How could I forget Jeremy camp!
@Andrej Palat, yes! And Advent, Living Sacrifice and sleeping giant!
@SWAT, But Red and Skillet would have to be my favorite of all.
@SWAT, Already Over by Red is just AWESOME!
@An Everyday Penguin, have you heard Feed The Machine? If you haven't heard it, you haven't lived.
@SWAT, Childs play. Look up for today, fit for a king, August burns red, impending doom
@towelbot, August burns red! How did I forget! They're one of my favorites!
@SWAT, SWITCHFOOT FOR LIFE
@SWAT, KJ-52 was my childhood
@SWAT, House of Heroes? Anyone?
@SWAT, 12 stones
@SWAT, don't forget Swoope. That dude is amazing!
@SWAT, I was a church kid and you just gave me the biggest feeling of nostalgia. I still listen to a few of those though like Lecrae, Trip Lee, TFK, Switchfoot, Anberlin, but you forgot Social Club!!!! They may be new but they're so good!
@jklyt1, hm. I'm not familiar with them. I'll check them out.
@SWAT, I'm an atheist and I still love listening to Christian music such as hillsong, switchfoot, and Matt redman. Even if I don't believe in it, they have a better message than the other crap in modern music
@MGS, kudos to you for listening to it! Before I became a christian, someone thought I'd like skillets ardent worship cd. To this day, I still don't know why he thought I'd like it when my music of choice at the time was slipknot, mudvayne and icp. But one day it was the only thing available so I popped it in and I LOVED it. I don't know why I loved it, but that was the beginning of my transition from that old stuff to what I listen to now.
@towelbot, August Burns Red you say??? We're friends now k? ._.
@SimonPetrikov, you're into ccm?
@SWAT the fireman, Yea i dont care if its been 4 years. What the cuck constitutes "unholy music"? What even is that? Its not a genre of music ive ever heard of.
I think August Burns Red is amazing no matter how heavy they are, they're hardcore Christians
@PepeGreeno, and they're SUPER NICE in person ;3;
@Areola Borealis, "Gahd dang it Bobbeh"

Demon Hunter? If you consider them Christian, I didn't know bands could be Christians. Do their instruments go to heaven too?
@FruitSticks, what are you talking about? The band members are christian. They sing in reverence of Jesus. Thats a christian band.
@SWAT, Agreed, but that term always makes me cringe. Its a label that's not really meant to apply to a group. Members come and go, its the individuals that a Christians. Ryan Clark seems to agree with this view.
@FruitSticks, oh. Yes I also agree, to a point. I thought you were going somewhere else with that. Lecrae hates to be labeled as a christian rapper. He's calls himself a rapper that just happens to be a christian. However, when trying to describe a set of rock artists, it's just easier to use the term "christian band" as opposed to explaining that they're a band who sings about Jesus. Also, by using the longer term, I think it eliminates a big aspect of the band in the reason why they do what they do. If you ask any secular band why they make music, they'd no doubt say for the love of the music or the money or fame. If you ask most christian singers, they'd say to spread the word of Jesus in a relevant way. And that, I think, is what separates them from the others. Its not just the topics they sing about, it's the reason behind it all. Thats what makes them christian singers and not just singers of a particular topic, imo.
@SWAT the fireman, IMO music should just be music. Idgaf if your theist, agnostic, athesist etc. I also dont give a flying cuck what your music is about, or what its inspiration is, or the motivation etc. Dont give a cuck about any of that. Just so long as i like the damn song i dgaf about anything else. And anyone who judges me for liking this song or that song, or this band or that band because of 'insert controversy, or political leaning here' then you can suck on my taint. I dont care about the artist or genre. Just the song itself.
Just my humble opinion.
