It still astounds me that some people don't vaccinate their kids because of one false study that a doctor who got his license removed did when countless others proved it wrong
@Gerard Pique, right? A child is more likely to die by the disease he didnt get the vaccine for rather than the vaccine itself.
@Oh No Its Dan, there is almost no chance to be harmed by vaxcin
@Cpzombie, dammit, I pressed the autocomplete
@Gerard Pique, "because of one false study" what? There are multiple reasons people don't vaccinate.
@Gerard Pique, it's almost as bad as people thinking global warming is a hoax
@Mrfriedfood, I wasn't aware, name some for me?
@Daynste, It is.
@Gerard Pique, what are u doing here your supposed to be playing athletic bilbao
@Gerard Pique, The fact that if we as a species keep relying on vaccines and the such, we will evolve to be much weaker and it will be harder to fend off viruses.
@Mrfriedfood, same with hand sanitizer lol and hand soap
@Mrfriedfood, so 97% of the worlds scientists are wrong? Okay I'll believe you random internet genius
@Mrfriedfood, millions of people died because of diseases like small pox and the flu. Small pox was extremely deadly and if we don't vaccinate against it I COULD come back. The flu is changing because of our vaccinations but if we did nothing other infections would spread with the flu.
@Candycane Forest, smallpox has been eradicated, it's not coming back
@Jiller, so was measles
@Gerard Pique, its only california who cares
@Mrfriedfood, fun fact there are anti vaccine villages around the world where every inhabitant have not received any sort of vaccine. The average lifespan is in the early 40's as well old diseases such as the measles, small pox, whooping cough, many "eradicated" strains of bacteria and influenza as well as parasitic organisms. So yes humans live longer stronger and better lives with vaccines. Also fun fact aboot vaccines is that they are the disease, they are just either weakened versions and it dead cells and virus capsules that allow our body to naturally create anti bodies to prevent the infection of that disease. No they won't "weaken" humans as a race.
@i rate this, I got some free time
@Candycane Forest, measles has not been eradicated, eradicated means extinct for a virus
@Gerard Pique, come here and enjoy them with your whole family!!
Courtesy of Jenny McCarthy, who got her medical wualifications on the set of her Playboy shoot
@crazymofo, but she actually had her kid vaccinated, so...
@crazymofo, Not all of the playboy girls are dumb, they got to the top of whatever genre being a playboy girl would be somehow, right? And also have you thought about what might be in the vaccines?
@Blagen, I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure medicine against getting measles!
@Blagen, Let's see, sh!t that helps prevent life threatening diseases. Yup, any rational person would choose a needle prick over getting killed by a preventable disease. Any parent who refuses to vaccinate their kid shouldn't be allowed to have kids. If your kid dies of a preventable disease because you didn't want to vaccinate him, then his blood is on your hands.
@CriTiKa1, they should just be arrested for endangering everyone, HERD IMMUNITY IS A THING DAMMIT
Like I posted before, blame some European dude who wasn't vaccinated
Doo do do do doooo
Awesome little cute note here. I kinda gave Disney world the measles by having ear sex with Mickey. I couldn't help it. His ears were so big. Don't judge
@judgable person, before any one says anything, I know measles is not an std.
@judgable person, so many jokes are ruined by someone not catching the tone
What exactly is the context here?
@TheOneWhoArrestedYou, there's been a measles outbreak at Disneyland
@Sexy Homunculus, Good thing I'm not planning a trip there!
@TheOneWhoArrestedYou, I agree. Disney World is better
@TheOneWhoArrestedYou, lol if your vaccinated don't worry
@angrynarwhals, not exactly...
It's not like it's disney's fault. And, if you're vaccinated, don't worry! To say that you might get measles by going there even though you're vaccinated is like saying you're scared of getting STD's even though you practice abstinence. If you're not vaccinated go get vaccinated and go to Disneyland with peace of mind
@angrynarwhals, mmm more like worrying about std's while wearing a condom. Abstinence would be like not going to Disneyland. Agree with what you're generally getting at but vaccines aren't 100% effective. Like they're in the 90's but there's a slight chance of contracting measles even with the mmr vaccine
@angrynarwhals, the measles that came back has adapted against our vaccinations...so...there effectiveness has decreased
@Candycane Forest, a vaccine is literally a cultured version of a disease, it is not a medication. We are literally injecting ourselves with the disease hoping our body can handle the mostly dead and dormant disease. The reason they fail is either the body doesn't fight it off fast enough and it is given the chance to reproduce, or the culture failed and not enough were killed or altered to give the body time to produce antibodies.
But its not Disneyland's fault. Its a very highly visited place where stupid people who dont get vaccinated also visit.
