Ours are called Seal Team 6.
As a Mexican, I can confirm that we too have ninjas. In the good ole US of A, we know them as border hoppers.
Hey everyone. It's my birthday :D
Fun Fact: Ninjas were never actually a real thing. We just kind of....made 'em up.
@CounterMan, nope. They actually were a real thing. Where did you get that fact?
@CounterMan, his brain must be a ninja because it's nowhere to be seen.
@CounterMan, better have a gotdang burn heal
@Just a raccoon, I think he may be getting at the fact that our idea of a ninja isn't right. They wouldn't have dressed in all black as that'd make you stand out in an instance. They were assassins after all. They needed to get close to the target, take the strike, and then leave as subtly as possible. Therefore they'd usually dress as whatever would get them closest to their target.
@CounterMan, theirs actually ninjas, but around the 70's, people made them look like they do now. they actually don't always have black clothes, or a mask. In fact, they usually look casual. This is so they don't need to hide until they near their target.
@anxiousPorcupine , actually some would dress in all black and strike in the dead of night. It all depended on what their assassination called for.
@DefinitelyNotARaptor, exactly my point. Dress for the job.
@anxiousPorcupine , yes they disguised as civilians
@Just a raccoon, My history teacher told me. He's big into older Japanese culture, like Samurais-he trained under this guy whose family has been passing down a form of martial arts for I forget how long-and he told my class that in a presentation. However, as @anxiousPorcupine said, he may have just meant our modern interpretation is wrong. It was a long time ago that he gave that presentation (he had a samurai sword and everything, it was sick) that was just the one thing that stuck out about what he said. So sorry for kind of being wrong.
@dategrape, no need to sink to juvenile insults. I misinterpreted something my teacher told me. Why bring to that level?
@CounterMan, wow thats a cool history teacher.
@Just a raccoon, hell yeah he is. He's the man.
@CounterMan, according to what I've read, the classic ninja get up is from Japanese theater, but the existence of ninjas is almost indisputable.
@anxiousPorcupine , yeah that is what I meant in the end. I misinterpreted something.
@Riley11Richard, *heavy sigh* yeah....sorry about that. I've down voted myself, if that makes anyone feel better.
@CounterMan, I need to meet that guy. If anyone loves Feudal Japan then you need to play Shogun 1-2 total war.
@CounterMan, ninjas were real , they were basically mercenaries ( assassins for hire). And as some have said , they normally wore civilian clothing. How ever we did invent the idea that they can disappear In thin air, can run on water, that kind of stuff. So if you mean Hollywood ninjas ,then yes we made them up.
@Just a raccoon, youre just a wannabe ninja how could you know if they were a thing if you couldnt see them huh ?
@Jesus Crit, putin de merde
@ReeseBobby, true. They were clothes so they could work in the shadows of the theater without interrupting the play. An american director saw this and thought they looked cool. He brought the idea to America and the.modern ninja was born. As mentioned from others, they usually took jobs as gardeners or likewise where they had a good view of things. They were more often hired as spies, saboeurs, bodyguards or.even advisors than as assassins.
@Kim Jong Pun, Black clothes* ☺
@anxiousPorcupine , yes and no. during he say yes, but at night there was no electricity and only torch light so they dressed in all black at night to be less noticeable. Sorry for semi long post.
@Riley11Richard, early then the 70s actually it is because of the theatre people were use to ignoring the stage hands who all dressed in black they would then have an assassin dress as a stage hand cause the audience was use to. Ignoring them
@CounterMan, Ninjas were real, they are just mystified...mythified...something like that
@natzu, that would makE sense, I just was quoting what my teacher said. but thx for giving me a fact to take credit for! :)
#justraccoon just a filter
Rubbish? Is that when you kinda rub something. "Don't rub the shjt out of it, just kinda rubbish."
Nope. Pretty sure ninjas come from Japan. They are very different from other assassins. Especially since they aren't really around anymore
What about ninja Brian?
So the Llamas with Hats series on YouTube just ended on its 12th episode. 10/10 would sob uncontrollably again.
Happy lonely Valentine's Day everyone
Assassin's, spec ops, pretty much anything covert is ninja like and pretty much every country has a group like that.
