Here come the fights *sits back with a bowl of popcorn*
@Dobbys Sock, I brought some Little Ceasar's bacon wrapped deep dish pizza. May I join?
@I shjt you not, yes
@I shjt you not, I would be honored, sire
@Dobbys Sock, are four chipotle burritos okay? i can share!
@I shjt you not, I want some
@I shjt you not, *kills for pizza and comes back 20 years later to make a movie about how sad it makes me*
@I shjt you not, that...sounds...awful
@I shjt you not, do you have to ask
@missylynh12, honestly, I could barely taste the bacon, so it was just like deep dish pizza, which means it's good
@sexyvampireprincess, I just thought I'd be polite
@I shjt you not, ooh me too!
@I shjt you not, I call those things heart attacks in a box
As a military veteran, I proudly defend your right to say what you want, and all others' right to be butthurt about it. For without freedom, there would be no butthurt. And without butthurt, there would be no freedom. Duty, Honor, Butthurt
@Anchorman, well, you see, he's British
@Anchorman, 10 up votes for you sir, for I am a current service member and can vouch for this.
@Iron Vader, what do you identify as politically?
@Iron Vader, except our rights haven’t been at risk from outside powers since like WW2 and even then it wasn’t anything bad either
They didn't kill ALL their people... Let's be realistic here..
@TheOneWhoArrestedYou, not for lack of trying, mind you
@TheOneWhoArrestedYou, just a few hundred thousand, because that isnt a lot...
@TheOneWhoArrestedYou, Congrats, you're pretty much the only person to not say something controversial and so have no downvoted.
@double decker, stuck pixel doesn't seem to give a sh1t about what we feel should be omitted from the line up
@knight of shift, actually they do. They make sure the uploads you submitted so StuckPixel didn't have to resort to crap pics, they make sure your uploads don't go up and the crap pics do.
As a proud son of a 25 year army vet I can sincerely say go fvck yourself
@AK47, He doesn't criticise veterans. Only the war (which is mostly about politicians if anyone), and movies made about said wars (which feature fictional or dramatised versions of soldiers).
This guy can go fvck himself
@ESPN8 The Ocho, with a rusty metal cactus
@ESPN8 The Ocho, MAD BRO?!?!
@ESPN8 The Ocho, come on, man. I'm an American and I thought it funny as hell. We gotta have a sense of humor about ourselves, or we become "that guy who's angry all the time"
@Zodiac308, yes I see the humor but (if I am thinking what he is referencing is American sniper) then he has no right I bet you if he lost some weight and exercised and join any branch and be subjected to have any of his friends die either in route or at the hospital, in there hands or not he would be definitely be singing a different tune. He also seems to be part of the group that calls America imperialistic. Well let me know since what Korea when we have gained any land?
@imtheone10, it's not referencing American Sniper. Frankie told that joke close to 8 years ago
@imtheone10, also, if I recall correctly, he was talking about Vietnam
@Zodiac308, ok was not sure. Though I do disagree for being there. the only reason why we were there is to stop the spread of communism. But that is the past and at the same time we were following our promise we made.
@ESPN8 The Ocho, he is criticising the war, which is valid enough. And aimed at politician if any individual and not soldiers. He also criticises the movies (ie fictictious or dramatised soldiers, not the actual soldiers who fought).
It's one thing to argue that going to war is wrong, but another thing entirely to show complete disrespect for our armed forces. That's what this guy did.
@Equalist, yea this guy is equating the actual soldiers to the people who give the orders. They got in the military with honest and honorable intentions to protect and serve this country. They were put in incredibly taxing conditions and essentially a rock and a hard place, so I would blame the idiot who gave the wrong Intel or the politician who thought it was okay to sacrifice the soldiers lives for their politics.
@Equalist, but.... isn't the same thing done with the French military?
@Kangaroo Jacked, Yeah, but they give up when a soldier stubs his toe so it's fine
@Equalist, Americans are so butthurt about anything that involves their Armed Forces. This is clearly not insulting or disrespecting your soldiers. This is simply stating that your politicians believe that the best way to make the world a better place is to just invade countries and begin eliminate the threat at any cost.
@1Reyesda, Example number two of what my point said
@1Reyesda, put you didn't make a point, you just made yourself look like a wanker because you think I'm offending you
@1Reyesda, lol nah you are insufferable and are generally retarded, sort out your thinking buddy then come back when you aren't an arsehole
@1Reyesda, at least I can count, your examples started on three :)
For those who haven't seen this comedian before (Frankie Boyle ) he does rely on these kinda shock value jokes that cross the line. Still thought it was funny though.
Make jokes about terrorists and poverty and no one bats an eye. Make one single joke about the US and everyone loses their minds.
@Dickwad, well he just insulted a whole nations and it's hero. Its understandable.
@modern culture, what one group perceives as a terrorist may be another group's war hero. It's all about perspective.
@shakeweight, true and our soldiers are one of our heros
@shakeweight, the American sniper killed more people than almost any terrorist did
@modern culture, he insulted wars made by america, and also the movies made about those movies, not actual soldiers (at closest fictional or dramatisations of soldiers).
@Scottish Bloke, i didnt think of it that way, you're very true
@shakeweight, pretty sure no one thinks of the guys who blew up the World Trade Center as heroes. dipshjt.
@cheese doodle, Then what do you think al-Qaeda (the organization that sent the terrorists over) thinks of those people? They are a group of people too, as horrible as their actions are. I am not the dipshjt in this conversation apparently.
@1Reyesda, I don't go through each picture downvoting everyone like you apparently do... Go take your emotional turmoil and negativity elsewhere troll.
@1Reyesda, nah, some people were talking about you on another picture about how you go through and down vote every one of their comments. Only going off of that. Do you guys really think that the people who crashed into the World Trade Center thought themselves evil? They thought of themselves as heroes to their cause, as do most terrorist organizations. That's what I'm talking about in my first comment on this thread.
@1Reyesda, I definitely don't think American soldiers are terrorists, but some groups out there brainwash their children into thinking that western culture is evil, so they might judge us based on our heritage and society rather than our actions. I respect that you have oodles of patriotism for our country.
We only fight to protect our assets. America has lost righteous intentions and turned to a warfare policy of greed and power. I cannot condone the loss of our soldiers' lives for our consumption of oil. Nor can I condone the subjugation of the people of these country from the huge divide of wealthy government from the poor populous. Our soldiers are sad because they fight, kill, and die for no real cause. If you can argue otherwise please tell me, for all I see is needles suffering and violence.
@Ganjadalf the Green, they are not sad because of the cause. Kill a man for any cause and it will haunt you.
@Ganjadalf the Green, The fist part is aimed at wars and you can never fully justify war. If it is aimed at any individuals it is aimed at politicians not soldiers. The second part of the joke is not aimed at soldiers but movies (ie fictional or dramatised soldiers)
@Scottish Bloke, good points man, good points!
Americans aren't used to stuff being offensive British comedy makes fun of everyone including themselves (He's one of my favorite comedians)
@Feelgoodbutter, you had me then you lost me. Frankie Boyle is a disgusting person who is more offensive and derogatory than funny. All that is not worth the occasional laugh
@TheReturnMan, sorry I have pretty dark humor
@Feelgoodbutter, so do I. But there is a difference between dark and disrespectful and untasteful.
@PrestonRX, he doesn't disrespect soldiers, he criticises war, which is usually true to at least some extent. Which would be aimed at politicians for starting wars and certainly not soldiers. He then criticises war movies (in reference fictional or dramatised versions of soldiers, not actual veterans)
If you can't stand behind the soldiers than you can stand in front of them
@Zooth, that dousnt help our argument
@modern culture, how so?
@Zooth, well it's not really an american thing to say. Americas stands on a principal of free speech and diversity of opinion. The comment reflects more along the lines of violent nationalism. But still i am totally in support of the military and if someone chooses to be directly against us than yah they are the enemy. Still blind loyalty is a nationalistic concept.
@Zooth, he's not joking about soldiers. He's jokin. About firstly the entire wars (which is not about individual soldiers, if anyone certain politicians) and secondly about the movies made about wars not the actual soldiers.
Bet he doesn't have the balls to serve
It's funny watching all the Americans get up in arms over this. It's not a big deal, take away your bias/ substitute America for any other country name and it's funny in a sarcastic and satirical way. Cover up, your superiority complex is showing. And please, I'm American too.
@Robochi, This is so true.
@Robochi, it's not about America, it's about the people who risk their lives going over seas to fight in war. I think most people here are mature enough to be able to laugh at America, but this guy is making fun of something that a lot of country's soldiers have gone through, and that's why this is stupid
@Robochi, if you want to see what we are talking about lookup the YouTube video of (granted not American but deals with the soldiers and being there for each other) New Zealand military haka
@Robochi, just incase you didnt notice it: read mike oxhuge's reply to you
@Mike Oxhuge, He makes fun of watson politicians if anyone, since those are the people who start wars. He makes fun of war movies (ie. movies about fictional or dramatised versions of soldiers, and not joking about the real veterans who fought).
See he is correct yet I find it offensive because it wasn't the soldiers choice to go there. That decision is made by the handful of pathological liars that hold powerful positions in our government
@kawasaki guy 65, he doesn't critise the soldiers, he critises war movies (or at most the dramatised or fictionised soldiers in movies.)
Guys he's not criticizing soldiers. He criticizing how the government is portraying this war. First by invading another country and then showing how poor their soldiers are.
@Bigbadboii, You are like the only person here who gets he isn't criticising the real veterans themselves, but the wars and movies.
The butthurt in these comments is real haha
Wow, so many butthurt people (primarily Americans) in the comments... He's a comedian, get over yourself. And, guess what, he practices his freedom of speecc, which is usually what you say war defends, so having a problem with this joke is, for the most of you, pure hypocracy.
He left out the part where those people killed a bunch of innocent lives before we got involved. *Cough Pearl Harbor 9/11 Taliban cough*
@SimonPetrikov, oh really? So who did the Iraqi government when the US invaded in 2003? I'm interested in your thorough understanding of political history...
@Unkle77, they may not have hurt yet but had threatened to hurt. The U.S. thought they had nukes and other chemical agents that they were using against innocent lives.
@mrnini, but the UN inspection team concluded Iraq did not have any yet you went ahead and destroyed a country for the sake of oil and construction contracts. Hey I'm not specifically blaming the Americans for aggression and expansionism - lots of civilisations throughout time have done this BUT Americans dress it up as a "fight for freedom" when we all know that's bullsh|t
I mean i thought it was pretty funny but still kinda fvcked
@Your Host, that's Frankie Boyles style in general. About the military or not. And believe me when I say he's said worse
As a us army recruit who has watched pretty much every war movie ever, i can say that this is 100% accurate
For the record, the first joke is a dig at America. The second is a dig at war movies, not war vets. He's not actually insulting the vets themselves.
I'm genuinely confused about this. Vietnam is a documented mistake by America. But it's going a bit too far, even if it's for comedy. I hope someone introduced him to some documentaries at some point about Vietnam.
Frankie Boyle: top comedian
The movie made about it preys on the money of those who actually believe the cause was righteous. So like war, the movie is a commercial enterprise controlled by people who care about quarterly profits, not the country or the welfare of the vets.
No. Let's not do this.
I kinda doubt anyone will read this at this point, but this guy isn't making fun of soldiers. He's criticizing our government (and who can blame him), and the criticizing the way Hollywood capitalizes on the hardships of the soldiers.
fun fact: you are twice as likely to die in Chicago than Afghanistan
No he doesn't criticize veterans, but he does make light of PTSD, which is not ok. I was taught to only have respect for the men and women in uniform, so making light of this disease that claims the lives of more veterans any year than anything else is not ok with me. If you don't support war, that's fine. But if you don't support the people who give you that right to have a choice, then we'll have a problem. Sorry for the rant friend
*canadian whitehouse burning intensifies*
You all spend a lot of time on this app whinging about how people can’t take jokes....here you all are, overreacting about a joke Frankie Boyle made.
