"No" he said. And she continued to pester him under the belief that a man couldn't refuse sex. He filed for a restraining order, but the court reused and found him in contempt of court for even filing a restraining order against a woman because she kept pestering him for sex. Now he's in jail getting raped, and that's considered his fault. The end.
-
@Captain Swordsman, except i'm pretty sure if a man filed a restraining order against a woman, he woukd get it amd definitley not be jailed for it... if you're anti feminist fine but lets not stoop down to the misandrist level of idiocy. ._. (I am entitled to my opinion, just like you are entitled to disagree with me)
-
@Captain Swordsman, I'm aware that it was a joke, my point is that it's not funny. Others respond "equality" to sarcastically mock the situation when in fact things really are actually equal in this case.. It's like you're running dry of actual situations and are just making them up for upvotes to mock a people that believe a certain way. If you wanted to make a sexist joke, at least use an actual scenario that makes sense is what I guess I'm trying to get at.
-
@niffler, firstly, I don't do anything I do for upvotes. Secondly, I was: 1) Parodying people's actual attitudes toward men (that men are sex-hungry animals with no standards or requirements for attractiveness to want sex) by taking it far beyond its logical conclusion and into the extreme, and 2) mocking people who are sexist toward men by providing an opposite scenario that, while being an extreme exaggeration, does have its basis grounded in reality.
-
@Captain Swordsman, 1, okay, with you so far, except where you take it to the extreme, becausr it's not an extreme, it's a consequence that has nothing to do with the previous scenario. Denied restraining order - eh, i mean i cant tell you much about those but I'm pretty sure they dont get denied often if theres a real cause, sexuall harassment is a cause, but for the sale of the joke, ok, but then - improsoned for filing a restraining order? Its a total red herring, has nothing to do with anything. Doesnt contribute to the joke, the previous statement or anything. - gets rapped and is blamed for it; is this commentary on actual rape victims? How women are sometimes blamed for their rape? I dont get it, how it fits. 2, the real feminist movement, like what the picture said (not misandrists, what you are refering to is misandry) are not sexist against men, they simply just want people to stop being sexist against women. done. thats it. But ok, mocking the misandrists, by (1/2)
-
@Captain Swordsman, (2/2) "providing an opposite scenario that, whole being an extreme exaggeration..." still doesnt make sense, because like I said before, sexual harassment is enough to file a legit restraining order, so if it were filed by a woman (which i assume is the original scenario that your case is opposite to), for sexual harassment, would she be denied and jailed? Then raped and blamed for it? I'm sorry if I'm not making much sense I'm just having difficulty finding the words to explain the concept i'm trying to argue.

@niffler, woman files restraining order against guy: she gets the restraining order and he is likely so inconvenienced by not being able to go to the same store as her at the same time that he eventually moves to a new city to avoid her; Guy files restraining order: now here's where the split is; real life: the same thing happens to the woman, but at the same time he gets mocked and joked on for not taking the sex that was offered him because guys aren't supposed to be like that and ever not want sex; My joke: the restraining order is thrown out and the judge, fed up with him for asking for something as ridiculous as keeping a sexually hungry woman away from him, finds him in contempt of court (the judge assumes that the man is doing this as a prank and therefore wasting the court's time and resources, since no man would really want a willing woman kept away from him). Get what I'm saying now?
-
@Captain Swordsman, No, because while ok, we have that stereotype that all we want is sex, what judge is going to not take a sexual harassment restraining order seriously? It's really not that ridiculous to not want to have sex with someone just because they want sex, this goes for both genders, and this being my point. The joke part, where the order is thrown out has no basis in reality. They dont get thrown out because of their "ridiculousness." Plus I'm pretty sure no sane person is going to go through the legal fees and hassle for a prank, and I doubt a judge would assume so. And seriously? What an inconvenience... just dont shop when they shop?
-
@niffler, well considering that men get convicted of rape despite evidence proving beyond a reasonable doubt that they did NOT rape the woman on a regular basis, I'd say it's not THAT far removed from reality. Also, remember that I'm from the United States, where there's no guarantee that judges on any level of the court system will act with any degree of competence or common sense.
-
@Captain Swordsman, I think that the false conviction rate is a lot lower than you think, that or you dont understand how the justice system works or what "beyond a reasonable doubt" means. And one would assume they would, after all your people are the ones who elect them, no? It was a poorly set up joke. That's all.
-
@Captain Swordsman, I can see you have so much faith in your judicial system. I'm to assume you're part of this majority, yes? It's amazing to me. You complain (and you in general, not specific) that our leaders are incompetent, yet rather than educate yourselves to make a difference you blame the rest of the country, essencially shoving off responsibility. Meanwhile, here in Puerto Rico, we get absolutely no say in who gets to be the big boss that decides all the big things, and we have to sit here and watch you morons sit there, not make an educated decision and complain!
-
@niffler, are you clinically retarded? I can educate myself from dawn to dusk every day for 70 years, gaining more knowledge than you could ever dream of, but I can't force everyone around me to educate themselves! There's fvck-all I can actually do about the majority of Americans being idiots, moron.
-
@Captain Swordsman, Personal insults don't make an argument better, they expose immaturities. I never said for you to force people to educate themselves. What I said is that you blame the rest of the country for being morons, removing yourself from the responsibility of being a citizen. You say " i voted" and i cant do anything else. and most often many dont even vote. But there are plenty more ways to lobby and spread a message. as a youth of this nation you should be inspired to learn, from dawn to dusk everyday, and spread it to anyone and everyone that will listen. We must take responsibility.
-
@niffler, my bad, I thought you were replying to previous statements. Anyway, I need to get on with my life so how about we just agree that I'm a lazy a$$hole who treats his opinions like fact,, and you are a guy who takes comment section too seriously (not too bad of a flaw) and move on and hope both of us improve (me especially).
Ok, so this has been bothering me. What 50 shades is, that's not BDSM. That's an abusive relationship. True BDSM is about trust and respect. It usually gets a bad name because people think it's just beating each other. That is not at all how it is. This has been a PSA. Have a good day :)
