Megan trainor is really annoying
@Tozmatine, annoying and sexist**
@Tozmatine, Ya women deserve rights, but damn, she is annoying as hell. Like jeez, we gettttt ittttt,
Dude...Beasty Boys. Girls. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a satire, but it's still there.
@SimonPetrikov, girls to do the dishes, girls to clean up my room, girls to do the laundry, and in the bathroom.
@The Tower Of Pimps, Lyrics are awful, but damn that's a fun song.
@SimonPetrikov, and that's the thing, some may call it sexist just for being a satire that jokes about that kind of stuff, but Meghan trainors crap isn't a satire at all
Megan Trainor is everything wrong with today's movements. Her new song is sexist and all about that bass skinny shames ("go tell all them skinny bitches that"). How is that better than being sexist toward women or fat shaming? Can't we all just accept each other?
@Lord Commander Snow, Also stated in an interview that she "tried to be anorexic" but she "wasn't strong enough". Megan Trainor is awful.
@NineTales, that's really fvcked up
@NineTales, Jesus, didn't realize she was this bad. Where have I been?
@NineTales, Wait, what? What the actual fvck...
@Lord Commander Snow, She also said she was just playing at that every inch of them is perfect from the bottom to the top
@MrWonka, Yeah, but that was just blatantly hella sexist.
@MrWonka, AKA the date rape anthem. Still catchy.
@Drunken Octopus, No, the Date Rape Anthem is Date Rape by Sublime. Gotta love that happy ending.
Alright so, I honestly haven't heard much by Megan Trainor, and I must say her music is actually kind of fun. What bugs me is how she pushes "All About That Bass" as some kind of motivational anthem for plus sized women, when really it's no better or worse than Nikki Minaj's Anaconda song. Throwing 2 "inspirational" lyrics in doesn't turn your song into a Saint's hymn. Also, it places male approval of how a woman looks at the forefront, which is kind of sending another message entirely, and not a good one. Rant over.
Its not really demands. More like a wish list. Pretty sure there's lots of male wishlist songs out there.
@stillnotginger, Cake, Short Skirt Long Jacket. sorta.
@therutabagaclub, If you listen closely, that song is actually about a guy who wants a strong, self-sufficient woman dedicated to her work...still a wishlist, though.
@SimonPetrikov, Whenever I watch Chuck I think about how that song sorta describes Sarah and then I wonder if they did that on purpose. And if you don't watch Chuck, then sorry, because that didn't make sense.
@stillnotginger, Wait...Baby Got Back isn't a metaphor for the French Revolution?
@SimonPetrikov, no no, it is
@therutabagaclub, I saw the first couple seasons of Chuck, so I know what you're talking about.
@SimonPetrikov, Oh boy, the last season was so wonderfully cheesy and adorable.
@SimonPetrikov, it's actually about him wanting a prostitute.
@Spilled Milk, That makes more sense, actually
Actually Megan trainor is getting a lot of hate for that song...
@Sorry Im Canadian , that's nice to hear. Any chance you can link me to where you found that out?
@Sorry Im Canadian , okay, looking into it myself, I actually don't know what the heck is going on there so I'm just going to ignore it lol
@Magnamon, hahahha good idea. I just remember all the radio stations in my city saying how disgusted they were
Yeah...and here lies the true problem of the whole "gender-wae" today. It's a *censored*ing song. Stop being so sensative. Stop taking everything serious.
@Chimera Ant, The media you consume has a serious effect on you, your actions, and the way you think. It's not "just a song."
@Jdrawer, Only if you allow it to effect you. If you listen to the same music 24/7 and let yourself being influenced by it it's a problem you (not YOU specifically) have. Not the music itself.
You wouldn't blame alcohol for someone's drinking problem.
@Chimera Ant, No, but I would blame you for drinking it when you knew its effects.
I think women should be treated like black people.
@LimonPetrikov = malicious-advice-mallard + unpopular-opinion-puffin
@LimonPetrikov, so you can only fvck them in the back?
@LimonPetrikov, With respect and equality?
@SimonPetrikov, no like slaves and with whips. But only in the bedroom
@LimonPetrikov, You sick fvck
@SimonPetrikov, round one, Simon vs Limon: FIGHT!
@Magnamon, For the record, he's my brother. His sense of humor is...an acquired taste. He doesn't actually believe the above statements.
They aren't demands. They are standards. And everybody has the right to have standards for the person they choose to marry and spend the rest of their life with.
Meghan "NeedsAPersonal" Trainor
Any specific songs being referenced?
@Jdrawer, Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor.
@DuelaDent, I by no means like her or her music, but isn't that song a list of quirks rather than demands?
There are plenty of girls who know that Meghan Trainor is really sexist.
no but women just being hoes and bitches is totally fine
Too many words ruin a meme sorry
When Meghan Trainor came out with "All About That Bass", I thought it was okay, but I didn't like how it shames skinny people.
Then there was "Lips Are Moving", that one was actually pretty good! I know she got some hate for that song because apparently it says that all men do is lie, but I never heard that part in her song.
Then there was"Dear Future Husband", when I first saw the title to the song, I thought it would be sweet, but then I listened to it. I MEAN WHAT THE EVEN HECK?? It was SO FREAKING sexist! I have no idea how Meghan got to that kind of music.
Short Skirt, Long Jacket by Cake.
Or Christian Grey.....
