@Couch Ornament, technically... yes. Black pigment comes from melatonin in the body which gets produced in response to the sun rays. someone left black people too long in the sun and they got overcooked.

Yeah this annoyed me greatly. Don't get me wrong have nothing against him at all. But Johnny has always been white. If they decided to make spiderman black. Fine there's been a black spiderman. Just don't claim to be going closely to the comics the do this.

@Devtyro, they told the actors not to read any FF comics prior to performing. They are also basing it on the ultimate comics, which were created to make things more modern. I don't care about the decision to cast him, because in movies you make certain changes no matter what. If they get a good actor, I don't care the race. Just because the character has "always been white" that shouldn't mean you can't tweak things. I think if you get upset at the actors race, you're the kind of person who would look for things to complain about in the movie.

@artmanx, I'm picky over character details. I mean honestly I have a gripe with the whole cast of the F4 movies. Johnny is not the correct race, susan looks like shes the oldest one in the group even though she's 6 years younger than reed. Reed looks too be about 17/18. Johnny looks about 22/23. Bens just less jock looking more pretty bad boy. Idk. Don't get me wrong if they are phenomenal actors then all qualms will be dropped. Its not like I won't give the movie a chance. It's the Fantastic Four, they may not be up there in my favorite supers list but they still play key roles in a lot of MU events.

@Devtyro, yeah I used to be really picky about that stuff too, but I just kept seeing things I didn't like. All i saw was negativity, and not the awesome stuff that did make it in. So I stopped, but I can respect your opinions. I just wanted to share a few things on the subject. Hopefully I didn't come off as some 12 y/o trying to start a flame war (sorry if I did).

@Devtyro, thank you for pointing out All the details. I agree with you they have more flaws in this one and they claimed they were going to fix it. But thank you for putting it all out there instead of just saying the black guy ruined the movie. Everyone is just stuck on race.

@Cpzombie, my mom is half black and my dad is white. I have two sisters with pale skin and coily hair. Another sister with dark skin and black hair. A brother with pale skin, blonde hair blue eyes and I look Russian. We all have other similar characteristics though, it's pretty cool actually

@Cpzombie, there's actually a couple (black man, white woman) that made the news recently. They had a set of twins- one looked completely white and the other black. A few years later they had twins again and again it happened. Sure, it may not be what is expected, but genes can be a funny thing.
