If Hilary Clinton is elected I'm buying a one way ticket to Canada, the land of the free.
@Yoosdude, I hear everyone gets a free moose for moving there!
@Yoosdude, we'll be waiting with open arms, a moose, and maple syrup!
@Yoosdude, We welcome you!
@Yoosdude, can I come too
@Yoosdude, so if a socialist wins. You're moving to a socialist country?
@Yoosdude, I'm not saying she isn't a bad choice to lead our country but I hate to break it to you my friend, all of the "leaders" of our country are absolute sh*t democrat or republican alike they don't serve the people they serve the money
@Yoosdude, America is the last english speaking country with conservative values
@Yoosdude, Just curious, what exactly is your problem with her? I know a lot of people hate her but I have no idea why.
@Yoosdude, no, no, the land of the free is New Zealand.
@Yoosdude, We gonna build a maple syrup farm
@TheKnightsWhoSayNi, well, quality free healthcare at least
@TheKnightsWhoSayNi, count me in!
@Yoosdude, yeah she seems like the type of person to use a personal email account for top secret government information... Oh wait
@HSA, Can't speak for everybody but the reason I don't like her is because she is way to political it's like she doesn't have an actual opinion on anything she just says what the party wants her to. It's better than being a homophobe though so she's probably gonna win
@hollow114, At least theie socialism is more advanced and less related to Bill Clinton
@PoseidonsWrath, yeah. But democrats are the lesser of two evils. I'll come to Canada with you
@hollow114, is the "greatest country on earth" as we often like to call ourselves, even though it is far from the truth, really content with settling for being ruled by less people, don't worry though I'm on my way to Canada with you, though Jamaica looks pretty nice this time of year...
@PoseidonsWrath, sounds like south park gets it right again. In any election you either vote for a giant douche or a turd sandwich
@hollow114, I'd say it like "if a twat wins I'm moving to a country full of twats" but yeah that too.... no offense Canada but I can only use Justin as a reference since I don't watch hockey.
@We dont say his name, there's a third option, and it's the basis of our country
@PoseidonsWrath, we need a president that wasn't a career politician
@voldimorts nipples, we don't just need a president, we need to eliminate money from politics at all, Congress has a lot more power over our day to day lives than the president can even dream of, but their votes are easily bought and sold because they can hide in the crowd and avoid responsibility for their actions
@Yoosdude, I'll go with you.
@PoseidonsWrath, they all serve the money. The only difference is Democrats want progress whilst Republicans want to go backwards, into a ditch. Just remember D is for Drive while R is for Reverse
@BunnyGruff, don't let them fool you, that's what they say, they both want to stay right where they are, its 1984 all over again except instead of it being three countries at war it's the two parties
@BunnyGruff, seems you know your politics well. Do me a favor, and dont be a polisci major.
@BunnyGruff, lol, what an idiotic comment...if democrats are for drive, why is it that nothing they do ever works? We've spent more than 20 trillion dollars since 1960 in the war on poverty (more than all military spending combined since the founding of the country)...and the result? The percentage of people in poverty is higher now than it was when we started, race relations are worse now than they have been in over 40 years, the percentage of people with jobs is at the lowest level since the early 1970s (it's lower now than when women were expected to not work). But we aren't supposed to look at results, only the intentions of democrats. They "care", therefore they are good.
@HSA, there is a lonnnnnnnggggg list of things that noone has time, or wants to put in the effort to explain lol just listen to her speeches from 2008 and then now they are literally completely opposite
@Yoosdude, I'm goin to Kenya!
@Racist Arab, but you're an Arab. Sorry
@Yoosdude, Harper isn't much better
@Yoosdude, me too. But if another Busch is elected I'm getting off continent to somewhere really free like New Zealand
@hollow114, Clinton is hardly a socialist. Now my boy, Bernie sanders, he's a real socialist and if I could pick he'd be president
@Lord Commander Snow, yeah. He won't win though. Neither will rand Paul(ew)
@hollow114, I know and I wouldn't waste my vote. I'll probably vote for Clinton because I hate her less than the republican candidates
@tmo0792, see that's the thing, no one I ask ever gives me any specifics
@Racist Arab, don't forget our better beer!
@HSA, I'm sorry, but I know that if you just listen to one of her speeches on youtube. Your head will be throbbing
@Racist Arab, you forgot the most important part.. A large Double double and a Timmies toque!!
@The Manwhore, you hate the politician for being too political?
@Dr Simon Acula, no sadly Australia is there too. At least or government is currently.
@TheKnightsWhoSayNi, a free moose attack*.
@TheMonkeyGod, are you saying Australia is conservative? Because they don't even have a federal conservative party. I would also like to say that you misinterpreted my tone.
America is the last english speaking country with conservative values AND WE NEED TO PRESERVE THEM.
@HSA, I hate politicians in general so ya
@Dr Simon Acula, please learn about other countries before attempting to speak about them. The Australian Liberal Party are a conservative party, Family First, Palmer United and many others. The Liberals are the major conservative party.
On the maintaining of conservative "values", we must agree to disagree.
@Racist Arab, That sounds amazing
@HSA, lets start with she is corrupt from head to toe... the Clintons sold nuclear technology to the Chinese, who is funding Hilary's campaign. She is extremely hypocritical. She is the worse person to be in charge but Jed bush is the second worse... we need a new political name
@Barry Dylan, I more identify with the socialist/communist movements, I acknowledge that communism is a flawed system but what system isn't flawed?
@PoseidonsWrath, sounds like we have a libertarian over here. 👍
@BunnyGruff, well that is the dumbest thing I have heard... In fact most corruption cases are found in liberals, Conservatives would at least pull us out of this recession because no matter what the government says they are going to do... they do nothing.
@PoseidonsWrath, but socialism is the exact opposite of what you said we need, and communism doesn't not work in large countries because no one is altruistic. By the views you just expressed it sounds more like you are a libertarian take a quiz and see...
@Barry Dylan, but hey, I like quizzes too so why not
@Racist Arab, If you greet all of Canada's visitors like that then I'm sold. I'd actually love to go at some stage but I'm from Ireland and it's a hell of a lot away.
@Barry Dylan, yes because I believe in taking care of my fellow countrymen, I don't believe in big business having any say in anything, I believe in using government money to fund research in medicine and technology and to create infastructure for the people to use, I just don't trust our government to do that because they were bought back in the 30s if not earlier
@PoseidonsWrath, The largest problem with communism is it is impossible to work in a large country
@Dr Simon Acula, you know what I hear when someone says conservative? That you want everything to stay the same, and that isn't what America is about.
@Barry Dylan, who says we need large countries, advance technology to the point where there is more than enough to go around for everyone and create sustainable green energy and the rest won't necessarily take care of itself but it will become a lot easier. Countries are a creation of man, not a necessity of nature
@PoseidonsWrath, that's what the conservatives of America are about. Conserving the morals of former generations.
@PoseidonsWrath, The ideas of our founding fathers should be preserved, so the last one. And their ideals ARE flexible. Equality extends to those looking to marry their own gender over the opposite, etc.
@Dr Simon Acula, the morals of the slave owners? Or are we trying to preserve the morals of the racists, or do we want to go really far back and preserve the morals of the colonists that settled here. My point isn't that those things defined them as people and their entire moral code, my point is that some of their morals are antiquated and as we come to recognize that we have to retire those views, progress is always happening it only stops when we're dead or decide to go backwards
@Dr Simon Acula, Okay political conservatism I understand, and I do agree with a lot of our founding fathers ideas though they were flawed men themselves, the thing that bothers me most is both liberals and conservatives try to argue their intent on a lot of things that were left slightly unclear while we just go around ignoring the two things that they were extremely clear on, and those were that a strong party system would lead to the death of democracy and then isolationism, we were never meant to be an empire, that isn't what they wanted
@PoseidonsWrath, I can certainly agree on the fact that the parties hold a monopoly where none should exist, but I do NOT believe in isolationism. I believe in the declaration, constitution, and first 10 amendments over anything that either party stands for. And the US should extend its influence as any country would to become as powerful as possible.
Anyway, let's (as you said) agree to disagree.
@Dr Simon Acula, fine by me, I enjoyed having a civil discussion with you Dr. You as a fellow American are entitled to believe in the direction you see best, for my own curiousity will you explain to me your view of how isolationism prevents us from becoming a stronger country?
@PoseidonsWrath, It doesn't technically limit our military power, as we were able to enter both world wars while in isolation. It does however limit the amount of respect and fear (from those who would be judged immoral by society, of course) we garner on a world stage.
Isolationism hurts political power on the world stage. This is political power which can be used to avoid large wars, as seen in the cold war, or simply get our way.
Always a good thing to have power over other countries.
You also can't deny that the UN does wonderful humanitarian work and also avoids war.
We would not be able to remain a part of the UN while under an isolationism policy.
@Yoosdude, let's all be honest here. She's the most qualified out of everyone running as of now.
@Dr Simon Acula, military power isn't the measure of a nations worth, and I don't mean we could pull back to full isolationism we are indeed to involved in the world now, but you said it best yourself, the un does wonderful humanitarian work and also avoids war, why can't we do the same, thank you for your time and your thoughts
@Yoosdude, im doing the same thing either there or Switzerland
@hollow114, you're confusing socialist with dumbass
@Yoosdude, I want to come
@Yoosdude, Can I join you?
@dan22122, Do you want a window seat or an aisle?
@Arctic Ops Kennen, how? What did she do to be qualified? She failed the bar exam in both New York & DC (prior to moving to Arkansas with bill). She was indicted in three or four corruption investigations while she was working at her Arkansas law firm. How people do you know who have been murdered, as in personal friends/people you work with? She's up to 14 last time I heard...she was in charge of the "bimbo eruption" division that dealt with all of the women who came forward with evidence that bill had slept with them. She tried to ban video games in the 1990s, she wanted to set up a "gatekeeper" to control the content on the Internet....do I need to go on? How is she qualified? What are her accomplishments?
@Dr Simon Acula, former morals? no. Former Values...some of them, the good ones. Conservatives believe in: Individual accountability & achievement, freedom of speech, equality of opportunity, diversity of ideas, free and open debate, etc. in other words, the exact opposite of most liberal values: diversity of skin color is all that matters, the time for debate is over, freedom of speech only applies to people liberals agree with, equality of results is worth punishing achievers, and anyway people who achieve don't deserve anything anyway because "they didn't build that!". Oh, and the individual is never accountable for their actions if they can blame society.
@Yoosdude, room for 1 more?
@Dr Simon Acula, Canada currently has a conservative majority government, just so you know. We may not be as far right as America, but Stephen Harper and party are very conservative.
@talmet, what does Bill Clinton's affairs have to do with her qualifications? Who cares about the video game thing and the Internet thing, that was never and will never happen. You have a point about the corruption investigations. But she practically co-ran the country for 8 years. She's a much better option than Jeb Bush or anyone else running currently.
@Arctic Ops Kennen, it is a question of character. Since when is it ok to destroy women who accused her husband of rape (yes, that happened). Why is that ok? She is out of touch, lies constantly, and an idiot. Her defense for using personal email is a joke (she didn't want to use two phones...so she only used one email address? Come on, that is the dumbest excuse ever used for anything.) She claims that when they left the White House (and were being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to give 30 minute speeches)....they were broke? While they were "broke" they bought two houses in New York, one of which is a mansion...huh? She said she hasn't driven a car in over 20 years....and, wanting to ban video gemes, and set up a "gatekeeper" to control Internet content are not things to just ignore, they show that she does not believe in free speech, she believes that she should control what you are allowed to say.
@Arctic Ops Kennen, lastly,
Being the wife of the president is not the same as running the country....would you say that Laura Bush is qualified as well?
@talmet, I'm not saying she actually ran the country, but when Bill Clinton was president it was said it was like have "two presidents" because Bill had to run everything by her. And whether or not you believe in her or what she does you can't say she's stupid. She might be an idiot, but she isn't stupid.
@Barry Dylan, me for president?
@Lord Commander Snow, socialism might be the worst party... Its communism but putting someone in charge because they look trustworthy... thats like saying "fvck it, the hunger games sound fun..." I would never give someone complete power over me... There isn't a worse party... at least communism has the idea of peace. And Hillary Clinton has the chance to cause world war 3, she'll make some crappy alliance with an enemy to a major country and nuclear fallout will rain hell... "so listen up kiddies, this stuffs important." But I do seriously respect you as a commenter I just hate the Idea of giving away our freedom and money, because someone promised things will get better
@Lord Commander Snow, just do me a favor and pick any other liberal candidate if you are really set on voting Democratic...
@Barry Dylan, I don't won't to rework the current government. I just think raising taxes to pay for basic necessities (food, healthcare, housing) and a few other things (education). Not a socialist dictatorship but a socialist democracy
@Barry Dylan, also I'm glad you like my commenting :D
@Barry Dylan, o I haven't decided yet. I still have a lot of research to do before I make any choice. I'm not set on democrat by any means but my liberal lean tends to favor them
@Lord Commander Snow, there is no such thing as a socialist democracy, "he who gives up his freedom for security has neither." If we got rid of most of the government (not all of it) to the point in which they just make minor laws, (like no throwing nuclear waste into lakes) and stop everyone who breaks them (no defense budget, no welfare) we would hardly pay any money we could have a nation wide militia and If a state or a town wants to have a fire station, or police department, everyone chips in and if someone withholds from it then the services don't apply to them
@Lord Commander Snow, I just find that the liberal party spends to much money for pork barrel and red tape when the money could be used efficiently... and I would rather rebel than be told what to do...
@Barry Dylan, your idea is interesting and I have some questions about it. Just some problems I see arising but you might have answers but I have to go to work for the next 7 hours :( so have a good night!
@Nicer Canadian, who lives in Canada
@Yoosdude, you mean free healthcare
@Racist Arab, oh that makes sense
@Yoosdude, in Canada, that counts as a hate crime.
@Yoosdude, I'm not saying she is right, but I was thinking more about this and it hit me. Take the gender out of this, and she is kind of right. The ones that die in war make the ultimate sacrifice, but it is those who are left behind to deal with the aftermath, of having to go back to normal at the loss of a loved one. At having to compensate financially for what they used to recieve. The true victims of war are the ones that survive it.
@Yoosdude, go now, we don't want you anyway
@niffler, your logical progression has led to a counterintuitive argument. Along the lines of "if she weighs the same as a duck, she's a witch." Everything you said makes sense, but when put together those statements lead to a flawed conclusion. If "True victims" are those left alive, the victimization of the individuals who died is suddenly less significant.
@Sir Proper, And I explained why.
@niffler, not to bring back an old, dead, beaten horse but, do you know how much the majority of soldiers make annually? It's not much to support a family of 4 so it is likely that the wife or husband of the deceased soldier also has a job. Add to that income the life insurance and benefits from the loss of their family member and they do not have as big a financial burden as you think right away. Sure they still have to go back to living normally, but they sure as hell don't have the bigger sacrifice. You're sorta right that the real victims are the ones who survive though they aren't the family members, they are the veterans who served.
@asstronaut, Im not saying you're wrong, but most families still depend on two incomes. And i'm not sure about your experience with the government benefits system, but it's not so cut and dry as you might think. I volunteer at the VA hospital and i see first hand what our veterans and our families go through. And the reason i say all survivors of war have it worse is because those who die, just die. Yes its awul but in some cases they are spared that financial burden. They are spared deformities and illnesses caused directly by war. They are spared the fear of having soldiers bust into their homes and rip their families apart. They are spared from living in this world thats so messed up. I'm not saying their lives are not worth anything, I'm saying it's harder to pick up peices.
@Yoosdude, I'll throw some money in the jar to come along
What's even worse is the fact that she's ignoring the women in our military with that statement
@Jerry McGhoulberry, I'm not agreeing with Hilary here, but she did say "primary victims" implying that more women than men are victims of war. Her words not mine.
@Qu9ke, Why the downvotes? I even said I wasn't on her side. -sigh-
Sigh... Glad to see my possible future president doesn't know what the definition of primary is.
@slaughtermelon, Then she's got a Great chance in the general election then! ;)
I'm leaving the country if she wins....
@Hitlers Testicle, can I come? I'm great at squeezing into suitcases.
That's such a dumb thing for her to say. Everybody is affected by war. Men and women both. It's not fair to say one gender is more affected than another.
@EdwardElricsPonytail, But I think it is fair to say that soldiers are affected more by it than civilians.
@CriTiKa1, soldiers. Not men, not women. Last time I checked anyone can be a soldier. It doesn't even have anything to do with gender. I think anyway.
@EdwardElricsPonytail, I think that's why he said soldiers. (Runs out before I get hit by a short guys ponytail)
@EdwardElricsPonytail, as a soldier I can say that women are not allowed to have combat M.O.S.s, so primarily men are affected. With that being said, some women do see combat and I know that any of my fellow soldiers would drive into battle with me. Male or female.
@CriTiKa1, well, just look at some of the war ravaged countries in Africa. There are thousands if not millions of landmines planted out there, and they take out anyone, civilian or soldier. I might have my geography wrong, but the militants will cut off one of the arms of anyone who won't join them. I'm not saying this doesn't happen eslewhere, but I'm listing an example. Sorry for the long post.
Land of the free Because of the brave
I hope you guys have a great Memorial Day
Dumb fvcking c()nt
I actually just screamed to myself when I read this and I was with my family...
VOTE BERNIE SANDERS
People don't realize that we will be the laughing stock (if we aren't already) of the world...most countries disrespect women to the point that if we elect her noone will even give her (or us) the time of day
Bush v Clinton. Is this the 90's?
Well actually is kind of true, fathers would rather die than to see their sons dead. That's why they go to war, to protect that. Women get no choice but to watch and give rebirth to society.
@fake reality, Yeah, poor women. Having to suffer through funerals and such while the soldiers only have to deal with the horrors of war. Soldiers with PTSD have it so easy compared to a wife who lost her husband, right?
@fake reality, this is modern times. You know what happens when the government needs more soldiers? Draft laws. Then sons and some of their fathers go to war. There's age limits on drafts. You no longer just choose to go to war in place of your son or anyone. And yes, its awful for women to have to go through this, but calling them the primary victims? I'm pretty sure watching your friends and other die around you, and being faced with the danger of being killed at any given moment, as well as other horrors of a war you were forced to go to, is infinitely worse than worrying about the safety of a loved one while your safe and cozy at home.
@fake reality, the women could always voluntarily sign up... just sayin
@fake reality, what you just just said is the dumbest,most illogical, brain dead thing I have ever heard of. I have lost 10 IQ points for reading that.
@CriTiKa1, there was a lady on the news recently who was found pushing her baby's dead corpse on a swing set for 4 hours. That's insanity right there, You don't think they suffer? Ask any man with PTSD if he would give his son's life in exchange for his sanity. The answer is no. So don't come talk to me pretending man have it worse
@DeadStroke, so you must have -10 now, because you don't seem smart to me
@fake reality, That story doesn't prove your point. All you did was point out a n insane woman. Doesn't mean that she went insane because of war. Soldiers are the ones who are sacrificing their lives and minds, people at home don't sacrifice anything.
@CriTiKa1, of course it proves my point, Im telling you about a real story that shows the suffering of a mother. Im talking about women, why do you generalize by saying people at home? Dont move away from my point. Red harring is a fallacy in arguments. Soldiers sacrifice their lives, yes, and so would women if given the chance. Want proof?, ask your mother if she would give her life. Reorganize your ideas, you can't use assumptions as proof. How do you know people at home don't sacrifice anything? ...What did Roosevelt say?? Men soldiers are chosen/drafted because they are fit to fight. Women were not allowed in combat until just recently and just at certain positions.
@Asymetrical Testical, oh they've tried for years, until recently they were allowed and only certain ranks
@fake reality, What the fvck are you even talking about? I'm arguing that women aren't the primary target of war, soldiers are. Soldiers can be both men or women, but the vast majority are men. YOU'RE the one moving away from the point of this argument. We are talking specifically about war, not a woman who's toddler died.
@CriTiKa1, you are swearing now? I can't take you seriously now. I used the woman as an example of the suffering that occurs after the dead of the one you love. People die at war right?? I'm just defending the people you claim are safe and cozy at home.
@CriTiKa1, exactly, their argument has moved from "which is more of a victim, women at home or people at war", to I don't even know what
@fake reality, stop. Just stop.
@towelbot, oh me? Didn't they take the time to comment and prove me wrong? Why am I not allowed to defend myself? I didn't ask them to reply to me, I made use of freedom of speech like any american deserves
@fake reality, good good
There are other parties besides republican and democrat. VOTE LIBERTARIAN!
Everyone says ridiculous things sometimes, but just don't say that you'll speak for the entirety of one certain group (the middle class, women, etc., all of which I am), and then say ridiculous things. I'd rather speak for myself, but thanks anyways.
As someone who hates both democrats and republicans I will be voting for independent Bernie Sanders. #Sanders2016 anyone?
I hate wars altogether. Wars bring nothing but pain and misery to ALL parties. Losing lives, taking away the loved ones of others. All for the stupid reason of countries "owning territory" or better yet "To please their God". I'm sure that no true God would sit back and enjoy watching it's own kind kill and slaughter one another like animals.
I imagine the context that this quote is taken from might make it seem significantly less ridiculous.
So how was ur guys weekend
Alright well then that is communism...
Obviously NOT a funny pic. As with many elections, you end up voting for the one you dislike least.
Let the triggers be pulled
