All good things must come to an end.
@Captain Kirk Hinrich, die a hero or live long enough to become the villain, in this case Cartoon Network did both.
@The Megaton Bomb, they still got some good shows. Even though I don't regularly watch them, I belive that for a kid they're goofy and fun enough. They're at least better than Disney Channel *shudders*
@Captain Kirk Hinrich, boomerang
Johnny Bravo is the odd one out here. The rest of the cartoons are from the 70's or earlier.
Wait, CN is getting taken off air?
@Ajunta Pall, what?! Time to google.
@Ajunta Pall, not it's just run out of good shows
@Ajunta Pall, no it's just that they started airing weird shows like uncle grandpa instead of the ol' Tom and Jerry cartoon
@Furious Burrito, Same thing.
@Furious Burrito, I raise you one Steven Universe
@Ajunta Pall, the whole Cartoon Network isn't getting taken off air, just the old shows are gone and the new ones have arrived
@Genesis Rhapsodos , I honestly don't enjoy Steven Universe very much, it's too sappy and it has way too much music but the characters are good in my opinion
@Furious Burrito, they still air these shows on the channel Boomerang though :0
I hate Uncle Grandpa, but Steven Universe is amazing in comparison to the other crap.
@PixelPizza, I'd say SU is the better show out of most of CN's new shows.
@Furious Burrito, What about the good shows like Regular Show?
@Furious Burrito, but they still have boomerang which shows old shows but they are really bad at deciding what shows they take off and put up in their place
@Furious Burrito, but what about the good stuff like Adventure Time?
@Trve Shad, regular show is probably my favorite out of them all actually
@Chillin on Altis, that's a good one but sometimes it's really over the board weird 😳
@Chillin on Altis, i l8ke it because it has a backstory
@Genesis Rhapsodos , never actually watched it but the commercials make it look super lame. But I mean the commercials may not be doing it justice, is it worth watching?
@Furious Burrito, did you say fun?
@Furious Burrito, whenever i feel stupid i watch uncle grandpa and i feel better
@Zracer4life, they're taking shows off of boomerang too. They are literally make cn2 out of boomerang. Regular show and the other normal programs are aired on it as well
@Rattlehead Vision, that actually seems like a common life cycle of Networks. A network is born, often to a shaky start; network acquires a few wonderful or even truly inspired IPs; the kids who love those shows grow up, new shows replace them; young adulthood nostalgia mixes with limited exposure from the next generation to create a new potential market; second, sub-network is spawned to feed the hunger for the old-but-still-totally-effin'-rad shows, while the primary network now has room and even more funding to try out newer IPs; the cycle continues until a 3rd and perhaps 4th network spawns.
I believe mtv and vh1 did similar things, although their actions involved giving Satan hundreds of handy-jays. And done other networks have done it as well...Fox & FX & FXX for instance...Nickelodeon too, although theirs resembled something like a starfish losing a couple arms to spawn a couple new starfish... But you get the idea
@Chillin on Altis, let's not forget Gumball! Well...my daughter and I like Gumball anyway
@George Feeny, yes. It'll seem dumb, but once you're a few episodes in you'll understand.
@Genesis Rhapsodos , huh I guess I'll check it out then.
@Furious Burrito, "way too much music" Well that's new.
@Genesis Rhapsodos , *clears throat* Rant time! SU Is actually not like the mindless blob of stupidity we Are forced to call entertainment, we have an immersive story, well developed plots and character stories. Plus they have better songs than adventure time. You may try to pull that it shows LGBT material to kids at a young age, but then I could call you a homaphobe. Anyways the gems are genderless. Sure it may have some points of it being stupid or childish, but then a plot hits you in the face. Such as the HWG plot which is currently happening. It shows emotion for what it is feelings, not just something to make the scene funnier. We can actually relate to Steven, because people like us don't have a life. We're on an app where we mindlessly scroll, any ways we can connect to Steven's feelings. I know it's your opinion and this is mine. Good day to you sir ( or ma'am)
@Genesis Rhapsodos , COOKIE CAT, HE'S A PET FOR YOUR TUMMY
@I heard you liek, advice for the future. I vaguely recommended SU in an earlier comment without going into a rant. If you want someone to join your fandom, never rant at them, it will only drive them away... for proof of this, see "let me tell you about homestuck".
@I heard you liek, oh, also, was the rant directed AT me? I'm the one who brought SU up to begin with...
@Genesis Rhapsodos , Was I trying to get you to join the fandom, no. It was a misunderstanding that I deeply apologize for i thought while some one was listing off the trash CN makes now, you said you'd raise them one... Let me admit I was wrong ( It probably didn't help that I was in that super hyper / tired state) Let's put this behind us, agreed?p.s. this is how I get ppl to join my fandoms me: hey have you heard about __ I recommend checking out, it is pretty good .
@I heard you liek, ahahaha it's all good, we've all been there. For real, though, SU is amazing.
@Genesis Rhapsodos , what was ur favorite SU bomb 2.0 episode? I have to go to sleep, technically where I am it's morning. I've got to do some work around the house later today. 'Night my friend
@Genesis Rhapsodos , Adventure Time
@very aussie bloke , yeah when you watch a stupid show feeling stupid it's like a connection that makes you giggle
@DeadStroke, they made the show pointless, they try to save people and fix problems but there's no real target for the end of the show and they put way too much unnecessary songs and music sung by the characters, plus they made the show too "emotional" in a way but their characters make up for most of its issues.
@Furious Burrito, they actually released a new Tom and Jerry show, but it is God awful, it's basically what they did to teen titans. God help us
Jesus christ look at tom and jerry
And from the ashes rose adventure time. I started watching it with my 5 year old son, but I ended up binge watching it all. It wasn't easy with like 5 seasons and 60 episodes each but I did it. It was my toughest but best marathon yet
@Stuck up duck, I highly recommend Steven Universe, it starts out pretty silly and then works its way into more serious tones and deep psychologies with its characters
No Ben 10?
WHERE'S FLAPJACK YOU SLUTS?
@Hipster Jesus, in context or out, this is one of my favorite comments ever. Thank you for your service.
May the best childhood memory rest in peace let the generation carry on this proud childhood tradition
Who was it that said "it's better to die young a hero than live long enough to see yourself become the villain"? I feel it applies to this
NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO Oh hi I'm steven
Why is left shark there?
@BunnyGruff, you mean jabber jaw?
@Rattlehead Vision, that was an amazing show
Steven Universe, Adventure Time. It's up to you guys now.
What's going to happen to adventure time!?
Oh shut up cartoon network is still good wamt to talk about a dead network try nickalodeon
Take off your rose tinted glasses for a second, cartoons were still amazing in the 2000's, and there are a few diamonds in the midst still floating around today.
What about Courage the Cowardly Dog? It was, and is, my favorite.
It's crazy how the first run of original CN shows are on Boomerang now. I feel so old but I do like some of the new stuff, adventure time, uncle grandpa, gumball, regular show.
I mean, boomerang tho
Are people really that upset about old cartoons not being on? I see this all the time. Sht, you can watch any of these somewhere, but because it's no longer on the main network people start coming together in some tear fest, get over it lol
I was hoping to see kids next door
I see this more as the boomerang lineup saying goodbye to their lineup because cn is airing their current shows on there and weaning off the old ones.
This looks more like the boomerang lineup than the old cn
I was born in the 90's but i inly remember these shows on boomerang
*salutes with cartoony arms*
Cartoon network once once great
Is this referring to the old shows on the channel, (Hence the old logo) or is CN getting taken off the air?
Source or GTFO
Here comes the feels train, next stop feelsville
