Actually, in Iceland, buses are H2 powered.
@hunteruman, I always figured big shirtless Icelandic giants carried the buses.
@hunteruman, that doesn't look like Icelandic writing so it's still pretty stupid
@hunteruman, h2 mining is just as hurtful in the long run as regular mining, not to mention it's still a non renewable resource (from a mining stand point), instead we have electric powered busses where I live, and solar/hydro/wind power is always free and renewable.
@The Megaton Bomb, And what happens when a flame reaches a tank of hydrogen, assuming the tank has access to air?
@Gollum Fetish, that was the same problem they had with gasoline cars, except it wasn't a problem because that's not how fire or reactions work. There isn't oxygen in the tank to react with the hydrogen, because if there was, water would build up in the tank without a reaction making the tank require a filtering every couple of refuels. Also there are several pressure seals between the tank and engine to prevent what you are saying from happening and to make sure gas is let into the engine so the pistons turn properly. Finally, just like a hole in a gas tank that has had it's fire trail lit on fire, doesn't travel back into the tank, a fire outside the tank wouldn't affect the inside, just create fire spout.
@The Megaton Bomb, the issues lie in that H2 gas from the earth is still non renewable and that when we mine it, there are huge holes left in the earth that can turn into massive sinkholes.
@The Megaton Bomb, Yeah, I know all about gas tanks. Don't know a damn thing about H2 tanks though.
I think most public busses are now powered by other means
@Zerocool11, yes that is true most buses in America now run off of natural gas, however oil is still used within the engine just like a normal car
"Who needs oil? I eat fast food!"
Who needs air when you have swag.
"Who needs air? I live off Funny Pics!"
@The Handlebar , who needs dank memes? I live off funny pics
Yeah! Who needs oil?!? Not medicinal people, people who use plastics, fedex, ups, garbage trucks, miners, textile companies, fashion designers...ok it is a ramble..stoping now
The top third of this pic is from the ancient hall of funny pics immortality
Should we tell him?
You dense motherfvcker!
A lot of buses in the U.S use natural gas. So the guy could still be correct.
Here in my ghetto city, we actually have natural gas operated
Well, in my city the majority of our busses run on other things, so he may be just a little bit stupid
I am assuming it's the short bus he's riding?
