Hey, GUESS WHAT? Whenever something bad happens, there is a 99.9% chance that something worse is happening or has happened. But that DOES NOT mean that people can't be upset about other things, as well.
@Ford9863, facts: people disagree with them
@Ford9863, but when there is a public outcry for the investigation of a dead lion but other than a "that's so sad" for the death of 4 Marines and a salior I can only wonder where people get their sense of priorities?
@that crazy Marine, I don't disagree that people's priorities are messed up, but I have personally seen people be called "awful people" for simply mentioning the lion instead of planned parenthood or other topics. If someone says they value the lions life more than a person, by all means, give 'em an earful. But if they post about how the lion incident is said, don't say "you're an as$hole cuz worse things are happening". Sorry if that got a bit wordy, it's been a long day.
@that crazy Marine, Well people kill people and say it's okay, I mean we have 7 bil of them to go around it's not like they're in danger. People kill animals that are on the verge of never existing as a species again, and that's kinda a bigger deal.
@AbandonedCashew, where is the outcry for the sharks that are killed by cutting off their fins and then back in to drown or the elephants that are killed or just about any other endangered animals. It's only big be cause it's an American and they will lose money in tourism. Also because our news only reports on meaning less news for the most part. Just to clarify I don't condone the actions but I don't condone the public's reaction and feel 99% don't even truly care or understand but are more caring about looking cool by jumping on bandwagons.
@that crazy Marine, What you say is completely true, but if something is objectively worse for the sake of life on starship earth, and it just so happens to be a bandwagon, then it should still be treated with care.
@Ford9863, I feel kind of sorry for the dentist. Those guides take you out and tell you exactly what to shoot. I'm not going to give my two cents on hunting, but it seems kind of unfair that this guy's life has been forever altered for what his guides did to secure his tag money.
@AbandonedCashew, uh, so if I decide to kill some dude its ok because there are 7.5 billion people in the world? Lol I donteven know why murder is illegal if thats the case! *grabs shotgun*
@SmellsLikeTuna, As compared to killing the last White Rhino, and on an objective importance level, yes, a human death is FAR preferable over the former option. You might not think so, and that's perfectly natural, because you're a normal human being. Normal human beings have instinct to not let each other die. But this instinct is not suitable or sustainable for the deteriorating world we are destroying today.
@SmellsLikeTuna, And I see you down-voted my comment. I observe that you are emotionally charged at my harsh opinion. Take a second and look at yourself from an outside point of view, and ask questions about why you think what you think. If you find dead ends, it's time to become rational.
@AbandonedCashew, okey dokes well since your the only person here that would prefer a human being's death over that of an animal, gl hf with life. I hope you never have kids
@AbandonedCashew, eheh saw this after I commented. Allow me to take this moment and downvote that one as well...
@SmellsLikeTuna, I absolutely will not have kids, for the same reason implied by my initial argument. Since you didn't put that together before personally insulting me I will let you go. Perhaps you'll see one day what I mean.
I'm more concerned about Cecil on Archer
@Captain Kirk Hinrich, if you said Cyril I would've had to slap you
@Abusive Breasts, lol fvck no
@Captain Kirk Hinrich, wasnt he in like one episode
@Abusive Breasts, does Cyril even care about Cyril?
@Captain Charles Vane, I don't believe so, no
I'm just happy about the correct use of you're
I read an article about how trophy hunters are actually putting more money into conservation because they make it a business to have endangered animals. The guy who killed Cecil paid 55000 dollars to hunt the lion. When's the last time that anyone whose complaining about the killing even put 100 dollars toward conservation? A tweet or facebook status is an easy way out to make it look like you care
@Chief wanahawkalugi, truth
Kills endangered animal, then gets death threats for killing said animal. Where's the logic!? I hate when I read about people doing something that offends social justice warriors, and then all over social media those SJWs post death threats. Like people were posting death threats on the cops that made national attention for killing people. If you're mad that someone killed a person or an animal, then you can't just threaten them with murder. SMH at society. I hope we all get nuked tomorrow cuz God dam humanity is such a plague
A beloved lion in captivity and a lion on the Sahara are entirely different situations.
I'm in Africa now and I saw a lion yesterday on my safari ride.
"You're upset about Cecil the lion? What about the millions of babies WE kill each year?"
Because Zimbabwe has a way more serious problems. There are not enough Starbucks around
I'm unaware of what's currently happening in Zimbabwe, but I to know that that shjt is terriblr.
@Ser Waffle Knight, their president hasn't given up power and he's a corrupt piece of slime
@RebelWithoutaCause, how about you be a rebel with a cause and go rek that lil shjt? ;)
