Have you ever stopped to see what a worm on a sidewalk has to offer? Or trade to share your technology with it? Or cared how it feels?
Maybe if there are intelligent extraterrestrials, they are so much more advanced that we don't seem intelligent or interesting at all. What if we, like the worm, are living in a universe shaped and created by some intelligence that is all around us but we only assume that everything is just naturally this way?
@Leprechaun Giant, what if humans are just an experiment and we're consistently being monitored and that's why they don't visit us since once you start an experiment you don't mess with it.. 😳
@Olgreg, there are natives in a few places around the world that have been and still are isolated from the modern world. We have chosen to avoid contacting them, at least one group was extremely hostile, but we flyover and study from afar.
What if earth is the isolated native population?
@Leprechaun Giant, I raise you this Leprechaun, have we as humans not studied worms, even dissected them to discover what they have to offer? And how many worms do you think know about our existence, or can even comprehend the complexity of our way of life? How many worms did we take before we got the information we needed and we're off to the next species to learn about their way off life? Worms are creatures of habit who live to survive, but we as humans have way more to offer then our methods of survival we have a need for more, always wanting the next best and striving to surpass the last bar set by our leaders. So what if we are insects compared to the great unknown, we are insects on the path to discovering our role in the ecosystem of the universe. Ideas are what make us the special insects and don't you ever forget that.
@Leprechaun Giant, also please forgive the length
@Leprechaun Giant, or what if they're actually on a little more advanced and we just haven't run into each other yet? What if theres a group of several alien races banded together under a shared banner, who actually worship the relics of an even older, more advanced race? Then, what if at some point in the distant future we meet, and due to some misunderstanding brought on by a misinterpretation of that same ancient technology forces those aliens to wage a total war of annihilation against humanity in order to cover it up. And finally what if our best defense against these aliens is a group of genetically modified super soldiers originally created to quell a human rebellion in some far off colonies?
@Mendicant Bias, thats what he said
@Leprechaun Giant, We were interested enough in the species that we managed to create a complete working realtime simulation of its brain.
@MCPO S117, haha you ass you just described the Spartan project
@CR13SAFTURS3CKS, preposterous, what would ever make you think i would do that?
@Perspicacity, I was not aware of that, I will definitely look at that
@MCPO S117, part of that is Fermi's Paradox. If you're not familiar with it the channel "in a nutshell - kurz gesert" or something like that has a really interesting video about it
@Leprechaun Giant, part of what i said was also just the plot behind Halo, but i shall look into it anyways!
@Leprechaun Giant, this sounds like religion
@justwastingtime, more like a "covenant"
@Leprechaun Giant, As a giant Halo lore nerd you made my evening
@Noice, oops no wrong person
@Mendicant Bias, As a giant Halo lore nerd you made my evening
@Leprechaun Giant, actually, sometimes i think that aliens look at us and our planet and see what we've done to it and each other. We wage wars because we simply can't agree, we pump the planet full of noxious gasses and kill people and animals left and right. Everywhere we go, we leave destruction in our wake. Perhaps aliens fear that if they contact us, that they will be hurt, so they sanction us off, protecting themselves and others from the possible danger that is humanity.
@Penitent Tangeant, glad I could help
@Pumper, could be, but I always wonder why people assume anyone that could be out there has to have none of our flaws. There could actually be more violent civilizations that are older yet less advanced than us or perhaps like the "Ina a nutshell" video mentions,we could literally be surrounded by alien communications but in a for we have not yet discovered and they no longer use what we use now. Like those natives out there, they are surrounded by our communications yet have no idea because they don't know they exist yet
@MCPO S117, up until the misunderstanding bit, I thought this was mass effect
@Lord Commander Snow, that could also work :P
@Pumper, that's possible but honestly an advanced alien race is probably very similar. Nothing else would drive a species to seek new worlds like ruining theirs.
@MCPO S117, you just described Halo. But you know what, I'm digging it.
@Penitent Tangeant, i didnt realize we had so many halo people here :D
Like crop circles
@Taquito Speedo, reference to a pic from quite awhile ago....
@Taquito Speedo, "I get that reference" - Capital America
@Cursed Soul, *Captain
Well who wouldn't want to see it? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I've scrolled through many pictures and no one is here. Then I remembered it's 3 in the morning. Oh well. I give this piece of art...an 8.5/10. No dimensions, yet somehow intricate.
@TheArtCritic, it's 2 here
*starts techno porn music*
Gosh darn it mortals!
I'd bang an alien.
Plot twist: He has two penises on his head.
Lol shake my hand and I'll tell you
Wait a minute, namekians don't have penises.
This was on cringe pics reddit laughing at what terrible pics are uploaded at /funny
He shows it in the last panel, it's just cut off.
Look up lizard dicks. It's weird and wacky stuff.
If they're allowed to probe us anally we should be able to get a peek of the D.
