Finally have the stock pinned, and mounted the scope, now I just need time to go to the range and finally try my ar10...
@ThePandaPool , that is a lot of stopping power. I enjoy my AR-15 and the cheap ammo
@seeUpee, I like my ar15 too, but I was looking for something I can get a good grouping at 200 yards
@ThePandaPool , that bad boy has enough power to destroy a target at even over 800 yards. Good choice gun
@seeUpee, well I built it so the accuracy is anyones guess. Lol.
@ThePandaPool , Trick with AR platforms is to free-float the fore-stock. All the other accurizing stuff is mostly snake oil.
First 3 rounds out of my AR fit inside a penny...
@A Deformed Penis, this is all great knowledge for me, since I plan on getting my first rifle before Christmas.
@ThePandaPool , the .308 is an amazing round, I myself have a few rifles chambered in the round. But I gotta give it to the 6.5 creedmoore, which you could get a nice upper for around 300-400 dollar range. 1,000 yards easy. Nice flat round. Grouping is about the palm of my hand from 1000 yards. I heard that the new 350 legend is something to rival but havent had the chance to look into ballistics n all that fun stuff.
@wtninja, i highly recommend building your own. It's a bond you create with your firearm and something you'll feel incredibly awesome and a feeling of i dont even know aside from joy and fulfillment and accomplishment once you build and complete your own. Plus it's as expensive as you want it to be. Could make a pretty nice decent rifle for about 350 lowest to however much you wanna spend.
@LilPuppyOfDOOM , time to read and research!
@ThePandaPool , benderama must be one of those anti~guns sluts
@seeUpee, dont bring attention to him. Hes just a different form of troll. It's how he gets his jollies. Ignore him and hell go away.
@ThePandaPool , I’ve been thinking about getting an ar, any recommendations
@seeUpee, he is
@KowaIski, Ruger MPR 556 is a nice place to start IMHO. Step up from a baseline AR with a nice trigger and a few other goodies with a pricetag under $600. Can always upgrade from there if you feel the need. Springfield SAINT is up there in the same area too.
@ThePandaPool , I’m not a huge fan of the ar platform. Well, I don’t really have a desire to own one. I think they’re need and the modularity plus the overall cheapness of the .223 ammo is nice. I really like the R1A1 I have, very very cool semi automatic .308.
@WelI Obviously, Sportsman's Outdoor Warehouse is where I look the most btw. Find a local FFL dealer to ship to and you'll save quite a bit.....and support a local guy/gal if you can.
@KowaIski, I'm going to second Well Obviously's recommendations and add two more. Sig Tread M400 and the S&W M&P series would be good options as well. Whatever you choose I'd recommend heavily you go free floated and M-lok.
@KowaIski, Whichever you choose, before you buy, Google the UPC or part number and/or go to gun.deals with that info and it'll help find the best deal. Lastly, if you choose to build your own or just assemble two halves, Palmetto State Armory is a great resource.
@ThePandaPool , I think if ARs were ever banned it would likely be the sale of AR to civilians those who do own them would likely be made to be put on a list after a full thorough background check and I’d also recommend a psychiatric evaluation
@eleven, I doubt it would happen but if it did I’d guess people would go featureless like they did here in California.
@ThePandaPool , Seekins Precision monolithic upper.
@Azyoulikeit, don't forget about the Springfield Saint series. One of the best bang for your buck ARs
@ThePandaPool , beto is gonna be looking for you naughty boy! Haha grats on the new gun
@LilPuppyOfDOOM , the legend is not gonna be great long range but will be a really nice hunting round
@KowaIski, my advice wouldnt be great for ARs. I have an M&P15, which is very good, but expensive. And this ar10 I just built was a good price ( less than 800) but I haven't tried it yet.
@WindowsPhoneFTW, I agree. I'm more of a WWII semi auto kind of guy, but I was looking to build something myself and be something that's accurate at 200 yards.
@Azyoulikeit, only downside if PSA is if you're in a state like NY where there are restrictions, they are not very helpful, and like to overcharge for what you need for compliance.
@Burning tire, thanks!
@ThePandaPool , I'm assuming a stripped receiver needs to be specified a certain way or are there other restrictions in NY that make it difficult? Here in Oklahoma, I just have whatever receiver shipped to my FFL and it gets marked "other" and I'm good to go. Just to make everybody jealous, my FFL, charges $10 per transfer, that's it.
@Azyoulikeit, you cant buy a complete receiver from them to be sent to NY, you need to buy a bunch of separate kits and not every barrel is available unless you buy complete, so it all costs you more and you have less options. It frustrated me pretty badly.
@ThePandaPool , I'll agree, their inventory is weird at times and I hadn't thought about it, but I don't think I've ever seen them advertise a single compliant lower.
@Azyoulikeit, they dont have a single compliant lower for sale, and I cant get a 22" upper because they advertise it but then never make any.
@ThePandaPool , I think a lot of what they have in their site are one time deals they fail to remove. I assume the reason they leave it up showing out of stock is in case they get a good deal on the parts again.
@Azyoulikeit, maybe, but it's really misleading.
Remember Epstein and how that whole case thoroughly investigated could mean trouble for a lot of people? Oh you got distracted by anti gun sentiment being spurred again? Baa goes the sheep.
@StiffWood, I just don’t care chances are nothing will come from either any worthwhile assassin isn’t going to lead a paper trail back to his masters so even if they prove it assassination nothing beyond that can be proven
@eleven, that wasnt the point he was trying to make...
@ThePandaPool , Not remotely the point I just pointed out the fact that there is very little reason to care nothing will come of either the Assassin I’ve already covered the guns should be obvious if something was going to happen it would have happened at columbine or Sandy Hook but no all congress has to do stall it in house until they don’t have to talk about it until the next one so why should we care
That's a Hi-Point. You're better off with a rock
@Strawberry Milk, Thems fightin words
@Fatalsirenz, if you're armed with a Hi-Point, it's not gonna be much of a fight
@Strawberry Milk, Prepare to face the power of yeet from the YC-9!
I wish a motherfvcker would
Guns are bad
@benderama, well to be fair the RPD is kind of a garbage gun. Its super heavy and i cant think of a single reason to pick it up over the more modern RPK or RPM
@benderama, people are bad. Guns don't have intentions
@benderama, tanks are cool though
@benderama, So’s the Orange Man
@theboatandcarman, people are bad, tactical nukes dont have intentions, yeah bro but they should still be fvckin illegal
@Guy Fawkes, dont feed the trolls dude. Ignore that Hoban Washburne duchebag too. hes even blocked me so I cant put him in his place or downvote his garbage opinions.
@ThePandaPool , thats not a troll comment man, im for guns too, but that “guns dont kill people, people kill people” argument is a crock of shjt. theres nothing more annoying to me than someone arguing a point i agree with badly. the intent doesnt lie with the object, true, but thats not a basis for saying the object is ok. just because the fault for gun violence lies with the gun users doesnt mean guns somehow get a pass. theres a certain threshold where the damage a thing can do if allowed to be pervasive in society makes it bad to be legal, no matter where fault lies, a dramatic example is a nuke
@ThePandaPool , no rational person would argue nukes should be legal for civilians to own, and yet i could make boatandcarmans exact argument about guns about nukes, the fault for using them lies with the user, not the nukes. so clearly the fault isnt whats in question. its the level of damage the legality leads to. where do guns fall on that scale? its subjective, thats why theres a debate. i tend to think guns are fine just because they dont cause THAT much damage, gets a bit more grey when you talk about AR-15s, bump stocks, binary triggers etc. but saying guns arent to blame is a dumb argument. akin to watching a city get nuked by some idiot named dave and saying “nukes arent to blame”. sure, but if dave wasnt allowed to have the nuke, the city’d still be there. only in this case the city is sandy hook elementary
@Hoban Washburne, cars are bad
@Hoban Washburne, thanks for proving the right to free speech is bad, too.
@ThePandaPool , ........i havent blocked you, and you could always post in the thread below me to voice your opinions instead of tossing around insults and making baseless attacks with no followup logic 🤷🏼♂️
