The only thing that truly matters here is iOs get funnypics updates months before we do. We've already lost
@inacho88, ask stuckpixel if you want the update when IOS gets it. That's what I did for 3.0.0.
@Barry Dylan, thank other Barry for me, but I have the update already lol. Was a little annoying seeing all the "that description though" comments for a bit there
@inacho88, get sh¡t on! 😎
And how many times I use these features "oops"
Well at least you can throw it at people to keep them away. ;)
Can we stop with this phone nonsense, I just want a phone that does what I want- call and text (and funny pics)
@tater my tots, yeah, I have my PC for my major tasks. I only use my phone for phone stuff, funny pics, and the internet.
Yeah, but apple also has stuff Android doesn't
@Earthman , the few things iPhone has over Android honestly aren't worth the trouble. Or the loss of open ended software for that matter
@Magnamon, I know that, but this pic is extremely one sided and I generally hate that
@Earthman, oh, I can understand that very well. I myself prefer to be neutral, calm, and polite in all my dealings, especially on topics that have the potential to incite fights like thus
@Earthman , plus iPhones are a lot more secure and the software is near to impossible to break. With android's software you install 1 app and it's like hldlydyldyldlhdlydlydoydnopeicantdothat
@Magnamon, oh those filthy neutrals! I can't stand them! At least with enemies you know where they stand!
@Magnamon, while in general I agree, I am planning on picking up a iPhone 6s for one reason...Force Touch. I'm a physics professor, and being able to use a device that works by quantum tunneling is cool. Also, I'll be able to hold it up and discuss how it works while teaching intro to QED.
@Magnamon, yeah except my android has a fvcking virus where apple doesn't have that problem
@Cant all be winners, try downloading CM Security. Excellent application by an impressive company. That said, there's a reason there's a warning screen when checking the option to allow .apk downloads from unverified locations. And why you shouldn't download stuff from just any site
@Cant all be winners, also, though very uncommon, iPhones get viruses too
@Magnamon, idk, that's what the att folks told me. I only download from the play store
@Cant all be winners, well, they are trying to sell you a smartphone after all. Not to mention AT&T are pretty close partners with Apple, so they prefer to sell iPhones over other brands
@Cant all be winners, in that case, check your computer. Hackers count on people connecting their phones to their computers for whatever reason (especially iPhones), since the USB connection can be used to silently pass on almost any virus. It's like a chain. You go over to a friend's house, and connect an infected phone/computer to the other, it makes the connected object into another host and continues the chain. Where the virus may have come from originally, I can't speak for.
What is the point of comparing the products while being biased, why not just be happy with what you have.
@Eddie Nugget, you need more upvotes
I don't see why anyone but old people and children get iphones. You sacrifice a lot for only a little bit more simplicity
@Cobalt, I use one, and most of my IT buddies do. It's weird, because we're the kinda guys that crap on windows all day and use obscure forks of Linux, but we just appreciate a polished simple phone to act as our phone. Is has a premium feel to it... I don't know it's just a trend I've seen, to each his own
@RMB, I get what you mean. It just doesn't work in my head for me. If I wanted just a phone and didn't need all the extra bits, I'd still choose adroid for its lower price. But yah, no judging. I mean it's a phone, nothing to start a flame war over :p
@RMB, that I have to agree with. Which is a sad thing. I wish both platforms were equally supported
@Cobalt, plus developer support is unmatched.
@RMB, well now our "comunicators" aren't so much phones anymore. With tabler laptops and the introduction of Windows phone the lines between these things are getting blurred. But anyways I gotta sleep. It was a nice talk
@Cobalt, yeah, at the end of the day all of these extra features the developers and manufacturers shove into the device really don't entice me, I'll leave the not so simple tasks to my PC, where I feel more comfortable doing them.... Also we should start calling smartphones "communicators", just throwing that out there.
@RMB, hehe, I'm actually genderfluid, so most of those apply XD
@Cobalt, I just meant because it sounded cooler, but alright, night man/woman/gender void demiqueer/whatever else there is
@Cobalt, My Grandma actually uses an android. I felt proud when I learned this.
@Cobalt, there was a time in funny pics where only iPhone users used this app. I was one if the first android users when the update allowed us to use this app. A lot ppl where hateful to us but it's funny to see it reverse after years on this app
@RMB, a lot of the times it's because of security reasons. Some companies don't allow their employees phones to be connected to their work emails if they use android.
@Septibus, eh ill reply to this before sleeping. I was actually on funny pics back near its original birth. I had an iPod touch back then but never paid for the account to talk. It's been fun watching a community grow this whole time and only now actually having a voice in it.
@Cobalt, I like my iphone. I'm 24 I guess that is old but still. iPhones are nice they really are exactly the same as all other phones. I mean I have buddies with androids that look and act almost exactly like my phone. It's like the console war Xbox and ps are more of less the same there's no real reason why one would be better than the other. It's all bout your personal preference.
@Cobalt, from my experience, iPhones are more stable than phones running Android, of the same price- and quality class. They seem to lag less and run smoother.
@RMB, yes that's true, for me though I wouldn't buy gold plated garbage just for the premium feel. Might as well buy the premium feeling but also premium hardware to match android for just a couple more bucks.
@Cobalt, they're great phones but overly simplified for the price, I want a phone I can customize to how I want it not something I'm stuck with
@Charles Manson, that is a completely misleading statement. Most local and state governmental employees use either. Their IT can wipe Android phones remotely with the touch of a few buttons.
@BunnyGruff, iPhones are generally rated behind HTC and Samsung for looks and feels. And iPhone hardware is actually trending behind HTC, Samsung, LG, and even some Chinese manufactures. The problem is that Apple uses crap processors that can't handle half of what Qualcomm's can. Not only that, but iPhone cameras (at least on 6) are equally as bad. The graphics chip is top notch, but when I buy a phone it can't just show me pretty things.
@Buffalonian, don't forget the pitiful battery life and propriety charging cables. I always enjoy watching my friends with iphones asking if anyone has a cable for their specific model of iPhone while I relax at over half battery.
Also with Android you have choices in phones sizes, physical buttons or not, different cameras, removable batteries, etc.
Considering Apple has all of that.... Yea no argument
I do believe the majority of the iOS users have just skipped this BS and moved on... Wait for me guys!
Does anyone have a windows phone with windows 10 on it? How is it? I always thought those windows phones looked nice, but I wasn't sure the OS was quite there yet
@RMB, windows phones are depressing.
@Angular Notspice, so you've used windows 10 on one?
@RMB, no. They just sound depressing :'( my friend had a windows phone. It was depressing.
@Angular Notspice, I have no idea what you mean by that lol
@RMB, had one for 8, it basically did everything anyone else's phone did if apps didn't exist
@Angular Notspice, The only thing depressing about them is no FP
@RMB, I have a friend who has it and it's pretty sweet. If they had only come to market with it a lot sooner they might have had a chance at gaining some real ground.
@Angular Notspice, They are :( I went from An android phone that broke to an iphone that i sold to a windows phone sold within a week...all in 2 months landing back with android ❤ Windows was disturbing NO OFFICIAL YOUTUBE APP THAT WORKS RIGHT
iPhones can do at least half of that stuff 😡
Ahem... -whispers- Jailbreak
Apple: No viruses
@Suq Madiq, *cough* Samsung sells more phones than apple *cough*
@bananaLOL171299, *cough* everyone on this app is using an iPhone *cough*
@Suq Madiq, *cough* im not *cough* and more people aren't *cough*
@Suq Madiq, I'm not
@CentaurianHalfie, ahhchoo, bless me. I mean cough. Am I doing it right?
@bananaLOL171299, hey atleast we dont need 20 tablets an phones
@i did yo mama, the more the merrier!
Yay! Miss information about a superior product!! Woohoo!
The only thing on this list that I miss is portable storage.
This is dumb, android sucks
Shout out to the 3 people on the planet that send files via bluetooth
God dammit Apple
My add on to this list
Android: Expandable storage/ Apple:oops
Did you rent your cherry picker or do you own one?
Or if you jailbreak your device like did you can do all of those things. Problem solved.
O my god people it's a fvcking joke, don't be offended at every little thing that doesn't agree with. Grow a pair and learn to take a joke.
Come tell us when u get better chargers android
Oh goodie Apple fanboys! This should be fun!
Not everyone likes what I do so let's make the other thing seem bad #oops
Deleting apps with one touch... Oops..
I'm ready for everyone to disagree with me but if you wanna block yourself from p0rn you have that option with iPhone, not with android. My buddies and I have tried. I realize most everyone else here probably doesn't care about that though.
I work in IT and use an iPhone. It's substantially more secure than an Android. Nearly unhackable with standard iOS
@peow42, you are the first person I've ever met in IT that recommends using an iPhone. In all of the IT depts I've worked in, everyone uses and recommends Android, especially Samsung devices.
@A Drunken Bear, I don't like androids because of how easy it is to exploit. Google is also substantially more evil than Apple. Boston Dynamics man, they are the real life Cyberdyne. Google cloud will end up being sky net and androids will play the terminator theme as Google Nukes kill us all.
Mark my words.
I do not care if your phone can turn into an Indonesian hooker and give me the best footjob of my life
If you don't know how to get free music with an apple device or download apps off the web, then you don't know how to use it. And, yes, that's without jailbreak. With jailbreak, you can do a lot more.
TEAM APPLE BITCHES
Made and apple, oops
