I've been using the BBC to follow the presidential election. They're usually just like, "Hilary said words. Sanders agreed with her words. Trump is still rich and racist. Carson likes babies."
@Frodude95, one of those isn't like the other... Carson liking babies how weird. I like CNN
@Frodude95, personally I used the daily show for my news because they actually apologized on air every time they made an error. This happened so rarely that I could trust what they said and look at how hypocritical the news agencies were. But then sadly Jon Stewart left and now I have to judge for myself what's right and wrong meaning I have to go and do research and it's just so much work Jon pls come back.
@BunnyGruff, I liked Jon but it was still pretty biased. But that's why they had the Colbert Report along with it.
@Frodude95, he was biased with what he showed, sure, but whenever he did show something, he included all counter arguments and debunked them. I'd rather watch something that is biased in terms of what it shows, ie choosing to cover one subject and not some other, unrelated subject, but not biased in the subject that it did actually pick. If Jon was talking about a subject, you could be certain he was talking about all sides of that subject. Could he have chosen a subject that he felt was harder for him to argue? Sure, and actually many times he did.
@Frodude95, he only lines babies that have been cooked properly. Rolled in spices and deep fried...
@BunnyGruff, didn't you find it odd though that to get good relatively unbiased thorough news, you had to turn to Comedy Central. The world is broken.
@Frodude95, other way around. If you watch Hillary is copying Bernie
@Frodude95, *Sanders said words. Hillary agreed with his words.*
@TheMonkeyGod, not really. The news these days have to be broken because otherwise no one would watch them. They have to make issues really controversial because it causes people to watch them for the entertainment. News should never be about entertainment. That's why Jon Stewart can actually deliver reliable news. He doesn't need the news to be unreliable just so people become interested. His comedy already brings the people in, so he can talk about the truth without having to lie to people just so they'll be interested.
@Frodude95, I only follow BBC too as an American. All of our news sources are a joke. I'll listen to NPR sometimes too I guess.
Yeah, there's no such thing as unbiased news in America
@Langenator, NSNBC is.
@Langenator, there is a YouTube channel called ETC news and they are pretty funny and unbiased but that's about it
@Langenator, there is no such thing anywhere
@xNely, Do you mean MSNBC? If so, they are basically the left wing version of Fox News lol
@Langenator, it's because they are companies that need funding but if they were funded by the government they wouldn't be trusted
@xNely, MSNBC is pretty left-wing... As left-leaning I enjoy it, but I think for less biased news CNN is okay.
@Ultimatum, CNN? You mean the Clinton News Network? That's pretty much what it's become.
@Ultimatum, oh, I've never actually seen it. I guess I've been lied to. Also, CNN is biased.
@Langenator, or people.
@Langenator, best thing you can do is find someone who acknowledges their bias and is intellectually honest about it.
There's no such thing as unbiased news anywhere, but in my experience, the U.S. is definitely the place where both sides are represented to the extreme
@the dark side, Al Jezera is pretty unbiased.
I used to get my news on the colbert report....used to....
@WindowsPhoneFTW, Wilmore is pretty good. So is John Oliver's new show... I could do without Trevor Noah.
@lockke, I absolutely love John Oliver. Being on HBO, allowing him to say whatever he wants, makes it that much better. I don't care for Wilmore, don't really know why. He just annoys me. And I've only watched one episode of the daily show since Trevor has hosted, so I haven't seen enough to form an opinion one way or the other.
@lockke, John Oliver is good, Wilmer sucks @ss
@Devils Avocado, Trevor is a good daily show host
@derp day, To each his own I guess, I'm meh on Trevor, but I still watch. I think Wilmore is funny, but his correspondents are funnier. And I like the keeping it 100 bit.
I can't be the only one here who loathes Michelle Obama as much as @Bag Of Candy hates Adele
Ok, politics are just the worst.
I do my best to see all sides of a story. It's basically the only way to try and form a whole picture. That said, I feel like an app made for funny pictures isn't the place for politics, even though I do enjoy explaining my stance on subjects to others.
@Cmnder Shepard, at least when politics do show up in Funny Pics the comments don't escalate to an unreadable flame war.
@Robertato, that is true. It's kind of amazing all things considered
Actually this is the difference between fox and a real news network
I don't even understand how the two are related
I honestly just feel like the good old right wing people are starting to become to a minority. 'LOL YOUR A REPUBTARD? Y THO THEY RACIST 😂😂😂😂😂😂😒😒😒😒'
@4Chan Ambassador , really? Cause according to polls, conservatives are increasing and liberals are decreasing...
@4Chan Ambassador , dude, whenever anybody posts a liberal opinion on here, they get down outed into oblivion
@derp day, liberals are a pretty small minority in America. The highest they've ever been was 28% right after Obama was elected.
I love Fox News. CNN is just... Nah.
