@Idiot, there is a Mercury-based ingredient in vaccines called thimerosal which is used to prevent them from being contaminated, there were studies done years ago suggesting that mercury exposure led to autism in infants but no concrete evidence to support it, and thimerosal is a different type of mercury. There is also controversy because some families in the US who believe their child became autistic because of vaccines and are receiving long term financial support by the government for their children's medical bills. But there is no evidence to suggest vaccines cause autism to date. Share this information to defeat your ignorant friends and enemies!

@VibratingButtChomper, I mean I doubt there is no evidence or the government wouldn't pay them. On the contrary, the government probably paid them to shut the hell up, not because they felg bad for some children. If anything I would argue that the government conceding to their point is enough to warrant caution. (I, by any means am not saying that they do cause autism nor do I care. I'm just saying a government pay out is something that should be considered)

@Downvote God, The government didn't pay out to get them to shut up, the government paid out becuase they had no choice. Lazy, lifeless people will do anything for a dollar, including manipulating the law in court to drain others of thier money. I'm sorry your child has autism, but I highly doubt it has anything to do with vaccines, autism is one thing, measles, small pox, and polio, that's another. Don't risk other children's lives for the benefit of your stupid, selfish beliefs, and if you insist on doing si, at least home school your kid.
-
@NotA90kid, I totally agree, but on can noy manipulate the court system, they would have had to prove that the government was a fault. That's all I'm saying, either you think a group of housewives strong armed our justice system or the government paid them off. Either way the government sucks ass haha

@Screw YOLO, Flu vaccines are "dead" (even though viruses are not living organisms), so that's not possible. Sometimes when your immune system is learning to deal with that particular strain it will present some symptoms. If you legit got the flu, it's not from the shot. The vaccine takes a couple weeks to fully prep your immune system, so you probably just got the flu. Or it was a different strain than your vaccine was.

@Blagen, i agree. A baby/ toddler shouldn't be getting all those chemicals in a short amount of time. Plus, people have allergies to things like shellfish and bee stings and peanuts, who's to say a small amount of the population can't be allergic to a chemical in the vaccines. My sister is autistic so I probably have a biased point of view but I don't care what others think.
-
@Blagen, might do 'something,' but definitely won't cause autism. Autism is genetic. It runs in families, is more prevalent in tech industry places like Silicon Valley, and is likely linked to the same gene(s) that cause schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It is a fact that autism is not caused by vaccines. It's also my opinion that autism is not a bad thing.

@Ruupasya, it's not a definite thing, but some scientists have linked autism with ADD and ADHD claiming it's possibly a mid stage of evolution of the brain with different side effects. They connected many of the problems being linked to parts of the brains handling of attention span being exaggerated. This also helped explain savants and other extreme cases but again it's a theory in it's early stages. Proof of this will take years
A new study shows that autism causes vaccines.
