I think it's amazing that we have life so good that we make up things to get upset about
@DeathbyBadgers, I love how the people that cry out racism in most things are the so called "liberals" of America. (This is coming from a British outside POV)
@ThatOneCrazyGuy, They looove their identity politics. No criticism, no questioning, everything is offensive, feelings over rule facts and logic. I honestly don't get such a dumbass mindset, I don't see how you can live wanting everything to be a bigger deal than it really is and finding "hate" in anything at all. Bunch of dumbasses all of them
@Dexios S Divine, Granted that mindset of "if you disagree with any of my stuff than your satan" thing is on both ends just in different ways. On the left you get labeled a racist, sexist, homophobe, and on the right you'll get labeled a communist liberal cvck for disagreeing with anything. This is why I'm independent, this camp mindset is infuriating.
@TheRatMan, but here's the thing, in the world of reality (where we both reside) somebody is right, and somebody is wrong. Just because you have an opinion doesn't make it valid
@TheRatMan, Same, im independent too. I don't get these assholes with their "you have to think everything lile we do or you're ______!" Retarded ass thought policing.
@Dexios S Divine, Because apparently moderation and the mixing of ideas is a sin now.
@ThatOneCrazyGuy, are you sure it's Liberals you see saying racism and not just the comments from right wing extremist blaming liberals and that's influencing you into thinking it's liberals?
My experience has been that anybody who says stuff like this are people who are extremes to their political point of view and do not speak for the majority.
@TheRatMan, well if we are gonna get technical about it, the alt-right will label you a commie loving cvck while the alt-left, which has unfortunately become the majority of the left, will call you racist, sexist, etc. The ones that don't are slowly turning into the last bastions of dignity. Examples of this can be found in Dave Rubin, a classical liberal; and Ben Shapiro, a conservative. The main issue has really been agents of the Alts masquerading as either classical liberals or conservatives and making people think that's what those ideologies encompass. Which is slowly leading the a larger acceptance of the use of violence as a means to settle disagreements.
@TheRatMan, the whole left/right dichotomy is idiotic. It enforces tribalistic mindsets, and the issues become about them instead of the actual issues. It just gets in the way.
@ThatGuyx79, I wouldn't say the majority of liberals are extreme left. A significant chunk (and I think majority actually but I'm not 100% sure if my memory is accurate here) of those who vote democratic in elections are actually registered as independents.
The people at extreme ends of both spectrum are just louder and more unreasonable than the vast majority and I wouldn't say there are any more far obnoxiously left than there are far obnoxiously right
@ThatGuyx79, ps. I may have replied to the wrong person and I apologize
@The Common Shaman, Except that when it comes to opinion there is no right or wrong. Is it idiotic to feel like a sauce is racist? Absolutely. Is feeling that way *wrong*? Not inherently, because expressed in this context it's subjective. Contrast that with a policy designed to prevent a certain race from achieving a goal. That's objective vs subjective, so right or wrong.
As has been pointed out, when it comes to politics and policy there is no more appealing to reason or moderation or just common sense. Everything is sensationalized because that's what draws in viewers, that's what gets people to click links, that's why people share posts on Facebook. No one cares about the calm manner in which a Republican or Democrat or independent senator speaks. They want to hear about the ones that yell and scream and threaten, or the typos in tweets or misused words or misquoted factoids.
Because when reason fails, ad hominem sells!
@I Are Lebo, politics is the new religion.
@HiroAntagonist, it's very unfortunate how right you are about that.
@TheMonkeyGod, nah. Politics is more like the new reality tv. It's all about ratings, not issues.
@I Are Lebo, for the supporters though. People have become divided by ideologies and seem incapable of finding or seeing the middle road. We no longer seek the common good, but fight for false promises and foolish ideals.
@TheMonkeyGod, you're right. The problem is people who blame all of their problems on the other side.
I JUST had an argument with RustyFapWagon, who, completely seriously, blamed literally everything that's wrong with the USA on liberals and "The Leftists", and claimed that conservatives have "done nothing wrong in decades".
It's a level of willful ignorance that is almost impossible to fight against.
@I Are Lebo, I've found debating with him pointless.
@TheMonkeyGod, entirely. I've decided to simply ignore him from now on.
@I Are Lebo, it's for the best
@I Are Lebo, out of curiosity who are the conservatives that you think have done wrong? I am asking this because I am curios as to if you happen to be confusing an agent of one of the alts for an actual conservative and because I am wondering if you are measure wrongdoing on a policy scale (laws or regulations or etc. that effect everyone) or on a personal scale (cheating on significant other, lying to constituents, sexual harassment, etc.) Also, I feel I should note this, I have no idea what you conversation with rustyfapwagon detailed nor do I know which picture's comment it is located in.
@ThatGuyx79, 285808 ref id
@ThatGuyx79, and really, I was speaking in general. The idea that any group of humans, whether it be religious, political, or miscellaneous being entirely free of fault is idiocy of the highest level. No person is flawless.
But here is the thing. A lot of alt left AND alt right people (though I hate using these terms) don't know that they are alt. Extremists don't often know they're extremists because crazy people don't know that they are crazy. Connecting someone identified as alt right with a "regular" conservative makes sense because the line between the two is very blurry.
But if you want some specifics, I'll be happy to oblige.
My biggest problem with conservatives is their attitude towards homosexuality. Homosexuality being against the bible is not good enough reason to fight against gay marriage and the fact that they are still fighting that battle is mind boggling to me. It's nobody else's business and is a non issue.
I also take issue to their stance on abortion. They'll
@ThatGuyx79, take a stand against a young girl who got pregnant by mistake fixing the issue, but they don't care about what happens to the infant after birth. Meanwhile, adultery, which is not only against a major piece of scripture, but also is a leading cause of homicide, remains totally ignored by pretty much every level of conservatives.
There is a level of hypocrisy that comes out of many conservatives on a regular basis, both alt and non, that frustrates me. They go on and on against Islam, but really truly, Christianity is the biggest threat to the constitution. If I had a dollar for every time I heard some moron say "The USA is a Christian country, it's always been a Christian country, it'll always be a Christian country", I'd have enough money to buy a plane ticket.
Separation of Church and State is right at the top of your constitution for a really good reason.
Granted, many liberals aren't much better. Every group has morons, and every group has assholes. No exceptions.
Its not like the American version of chinese food is any better yet you dont see anyone complaining about that. Honestly if they re-released this they would make billions and so wouldn't cartoon network so its a win win
@Aaron Leibowitz, idk about billions. Szechuan low key isn't that good and I'm not sure the rick and north demographic is that big. But maybe Disney will make a live action Mulan rerelease, and McDonalds could do it then
@Tyrellious, their next live action release will be Mulan
@Aaron Leibowitz, oooohhh. Seems like perfect timing then. Billions may actually be possible in that case as I'm sure many people (especially young girls) will want Mulan toys in their happy meals and subsequently will want the mulan sauce with their nuggets
@Tyrellious, I think you underestimate how many people 1) watch the show and 2) are obsessed with the show. When season 3 episode 1 was "leaked" I personally saw over 200 people streaming it (I legit started a tally sheet because in my bio class I saw 22 people watching that instead of taking notes) that day in school -and my school only has 2,800 people or so-
Plus the level of obsession my main group of 20 friends has for Rick and morty in itself would merit hundreds of dollars just from us buying the sauce...
@Aaron Leibowitz, bring on the sauce!
@ajr12100, but I feel like colleges are a source of selection bias... I feel like other demographics don't watch it much or at all. And that even in colleges, there's a large group we don't hang around that are too busy jocking/basic white girling at parties who would never get half the jokes in rick and morty
@Tyrellious, I'm in high school, and I'm a part of that "jocking/basic white giriling at parties" demographic... haha
It's kind of disappointing how people are so offended about stuff like this. I understand if you have a problem with something being degrading to your culture or another people's culture, but to get all worked up over a dipping sauce that, to you, "doesn't accurately represent an entire culture," you lose all credibility. If McDonalds came out and said "we're going to make this sauce because we think all of Asia is just a dipping sauce" then I would be on your side, but if they bring it back by popular demand, ITS CALLED PROVIDING A PRODUCT THAT WILL SELL.
@MrLampoon, exactly! I'm from Texas but I don't think their BBQ sauce "misrepresents Southerners" or "reduces our cuisine to a single sauce". Hell, it's so sweet it barely tastes like BBQ sauce.
But I still love dunking a fistful of fries in that reddish goo and stuffing my face with it because it's delicious.
@MrLampoon, wait... are you telling me all of Asia isn't just a dipping sauce?
@MrLampoon, I think this portion of people who think like this is seriously tiny and generally creates articles to stir up views
Although this is still going on, I think the Social Justice movement is losing its steam. The like/dislike ratios on their videos are insanely imbalanced toward dislike. The documentary "The Red Pill" is creating a big stir because it's feminist creator is no longer a feminist after making it. People are starting to see Steve Shives and Fisti Splinters for what they are, and the rest of them, too. Even Laci Green, while still claiming to be a feminist, has essentially outgrown their way of thinking - and they're not helping themselves by turning on her like the pack of rabid mongrels that they are.
@King Spunkmonkey, and really, the more people become of more aware of this social justice nonsense and the incredibly hypocritical way they behave (to say the least), the more people come out against them - especially liberals. Of course conservatives are against them, but some of their biggest detractors are actually liberals. Probably because we're fvcking tired of being lumped in with those subhuman head cases.
I suppose Chinese restaurants are racist to. I suppose Ruby Tuesday's is racist for serving Gyoza. And Fazoli's is racist for serving Italian style food. While we are at it any restaurant that has a cultural theme is racist.
Or maybe it's just these people who are racist because all they see are races
Well I coined the term here so I guess I'll say it again. This is eye cancer
So then Rick and Morty will never be finished? Yes!
You PC, bro?
@MrClassy77, Does PCMR count?
Oh sorry... Please point me to the foreign dignitary of sauce I'm offending.
Is this real?
The only fans here apparently!
SJWs like I are Lebo need to be gassed.
We've reached a point where there's nothing new or obvious to call racist, so we have to resort to making things up from nothing just to please ourselves and get a few words in an article or two.
Thats it, dishonor! Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow...
