I trade my neighbor war stories for upkeep of his yard. He's an old-school soldier. (Vietnam era)
@DavidAwood, I thought you said Star Wars stories at first and I got excited
@Dr Spanky, still something to be excited about though
@DavidAwood, that's awesome. A few days ago, I found out a regular customer was a USAAF mechanic stationed in the Pacific. He knew of my uncle (Major General Paul Wurtsmith), and we talked for a couple of hours about his experiences. You should write down, or get an oral history, of your neighbors stories.
@DavidAwood, You're a walking Mitch Albom book, God bless you
@DavidAwood, i love those i can sit and listen to them all day
When we lived in Michigan our next door neighbor would do this a lot actually.
@Mr Sarcastic, I'm from Michigan. Have one guy on my block with an ATV that rides around the block dragging a plow and does the sidewalk for everyone
@Mr Sarcastic, my dad and I do this all the time for our neighbors in NH
@Mr Sarcastic, MI, tri-county area. My family shovels the sidewalks and driveways for the elderly around our area.
Sisak wish humans were that kind
@Siska the Khajiit, Siska* 😿
Funny, my neighbor gave the same response when I asked if he needed help with banging my wife.
In an alternate universe maybe
@MaximumD2, woah there, why so cynical about human nature? Good things happen all around you. There's no need for that kind of negativity.
@Lord Zuko , Maybe it comes from the fact I'm the good neighbor. I do my neighbors driveway aswell
What's snow blowing?
@Udder Despair, well, you have a motorized machine that you push along pavement that sucks up the snow and spits it out in a direction of your choosing
@irishdude, unless you have cheap parents that believe in "building character." then it's the shovels for an hour or so *shivers uncontrollably
"Can't leave to get coffee till you're done shoveling my drive way. Alright well have fun"
