Boy I live paying $50 for 4 new maps that should be in the $60 game
@Jxk46, It's not just 4 more maps but yeah it's still bullshjt
@Jxk46, $80 game*
@Jxk46, you forgot to add the fact that half of those can be aquire for free
@Jxk46, the game should not be $60 anymore.
@rambunctious elf, only in Canada , video games are cheaper in the us :(
@AliG, especially since it's a crappier version of Planetside 2
@Jxk46, But enough about Destiny, how is Battlefront?
@SimonPetrikov, good graphics bad gameplay and no content
@Jxk46, I love when a game has less content than its predecessor's store demo
@Jxk46, Yes we've talked about Destiny already.
Eeyyyyyyy but I was worried that would happen to Battlefront
Ea is the type of company that says they won't do space battle but then add them in a year later for $50
@Jyu Viole Grace, Anything cheap is heresy
@Jyu Viole Grace, I'd suggest looking at the Dawngate reddit. Some of the project leads have things to say about how EA runs them.
@Jyu Viole Grace, I thought the fighter squad mode is better
@Jyu Viole Grace, EA is the type of company that really, really shouldn't be a company.
@Turding turtle, yeah if the ship powers weren't so awfully balanced that the rebels win 99% of the time
The most dangerous are the ones that look the most fun
But it's shiny
Yea who the hell would use origin
@TheWhiteGuy3, no one WANTS to use origin, it's just that it holds games hostage so we HAVE to use it to play games. DEATH TO THE ORIGIN SCUM!
I'm not trying to play devil's advocate but that's how the price of games stays at $60. The cost of labor and tech has gone up quite a bit yet the price of games has stayed the same so companies needed a way to make up the difference and in most cases they offer a full game with extras that you can buy for extra. However companies like EA release a half assed game and then charge absurd prices for things that should have been in the game in the beginning. I understand that there's only so much you can fit on a disc but content should be a higher priority than graphics but apparently they don't care about that. I support dlc since it keeps the cost of games down but when it's abused I just avoid the game all together
@Assassinator2399, I agree with you 100%. I really like the way rockstar and 343 are doing it though, having micro transactions not for content, but to progress faster, and making all dlc free.
@Assassinator2399, game companies need to understand that they should EARN our money by selling an honest, good game at launch, THEN rolling out dlc and such once the public knows what they're buying in dlc and trusts it to be good. I haven't played it but I've heard the Witcher 3 does that very well, they've released tonnes of extra free content before any dlc is released and everyone loves them. Shamelessly preaching about all your cool dlc and season passes just looks cynical on the company's part.
@YUNoJump, Especially if you're vague about the upcoming content in the season pass.
@Assassinator2399, it all boils down to opinion. I personally don't mind having payed 110 for battlefront. I love DICE games (hardline excluded) and I've gotten more enjoyment from it then people get from the sunglasses they pay 150 for. Thanks for pointing out the fact that video games havnt increased in price. People forget that behind every game they disapprove of there's a team of over worked and under payed creators who poured their hearts into it.
I know it's pointless to say anything, but seriously people. There's only ONE way to stop this kind of behaviour from game companies. Don't buy it. Buying it will guarantee they'll keep doing this. I read up on Battlefront and refused to buy it. It's half a game sold for the price of two games. Don't buy the dlc, don't buy the game.
I loved Battlefront and Battlefront 2. I seriously wish it was illegal to blatantly screw people over like this.
@I Are Lebo, you couldn't be more right, i hate seeing people who hate on new games coming out for whatever valid/not so valid reason and then they've already preordered and bought the season pass. If sales don't change even though there's public backlash then companies will not care at all. There have been a few cases recently where public outcry has actually changed a company's mind, such as with Mankind Divided's dumb preorder setup. That change was pretty good to see.
@YUNoJump, it's pointless to try to set up a boycott on anything video game related these days. There are just too many sheep who will complain online, but still try to be first in line to buy every piece of crap that comes their way.
Did you know that production on EA's Battlefront 2 started before the current game hit shelves? Yeah, EA put more effort into making the next game than they did into making the dlc that they were already selling to people.
"It's a trap!"
You know what?
You know what?!!!
Fvck that game
EA. Causing us pain and emptying our wallets. Those a$$holes
@MrTuttle357, they aren't emptying my wallet, but they sure have caused me a whole lot of pain.
Yeah I bought the legendary edition... Biggest mistake of my life... $120 for about 1 hour of gameplay
Flys: the sugar the plant produces is very appealing to them. Rats: the trap is baited with cheese that is to them irresistible. And Bears: I guess don't see it
