Humans ate mostly vegetation before they starting eating meats....
@A Studly Muffin, and then they died out
@A Studly Muffin, true. Until bacon appeared....
@A Studly Muffin, Princess Diana was alive for hours before she died.
@A Studly Muffin, that's what your comment reminds me of lol
@VengefulPotatoGod, they still are mostly vegetation...
@A Studly Muffin, Humans are designed to be omnivorous. If our ancestors ate only plants they would die of malnutrition, since plants don't possess many of the nutrients only available from meats.
@A Studly Muffin, True, and I'm not saying you're wrong on that note. But they'd still die without meat to supplement their diet.
@A Studly Muffin, well, hunter gatherer societies would have been a rather even mixture of both
@VengefulPotatoGod, but humans didn't actually need to eat meat until the first ice age due to the lack of edible vegetation.
@A Studly Muffin, Then why are humans built like predators, with forward facing eyes and incisors and canines designed to rip through meat?
@VengefulPotatoGod, they were thought to have evolved the eyes to give better vision for foraging. The canine teeth weren't as sharp as they are now but before they were thought to have been used to rip into vegetation with tougher skin.
@A Studly Muffin, What about the strong stomach acid? And our forward facing, immobile ears? Humans clearly aren't built to be prey, we've got a ton of things that help us hunt. Is that just coincidence?
@VengefulPotatoGod, immobile ears have nothing to do with it. There are animals that have the same things that you're describing that are 100% prey. We were able to defend ourselves and outsmart them with our superior intelligence.
@BunnyGruff, what a twist!
@A Studly Muffin, Human stamina is another hunter characteristic. Humans can't run as fast as other animals, but they can run for longer periods of time. So they could chase prey until their prey got tired.
@A Studly Muffin, False. The first species accepted as the ancestors of Homo Sapiens were always HUNTER-gatherers, never just vegetarians
@A Studly Muffin, screw science this is funnypics jesus
@A Studly Muffin, Neanderthals diets were somewhere around 80% meat and 20% vegetation.
@A Studly Muffin, I don't think you know what forward facing eyes and canines do...hint, it's not to pick berries
His mouth is open because he was in the middle of telling them about it
I bet he vaped too
@Keith Emerson, *crossfits externally*
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
Actually mankind did not eat meat until tools were developed so ...
@Erinjagerbombastic, ok but prehistoric mankind were hunter gatherers and ate meat, and even earlier ancestors are shellfish and other easy to catch meats. Right?
You all think he died of starvation. He actually died because he couldn't tell anyone about his eating habits since language did not exist at the time.
I don't see the problem. He is now completely made out of a harder material than skin or muscle!
Did they also have no senses in order to realize that there was vegetation all around?
I love these comics.
The one with an ass for a face or the dead one?
