*waits for snobby European to make fun of Americans*
@CaptainQuzzle10, I would but I don't want all the downvotes thank you very much
@Superior Cotton, but you still got one
@CaptainQuzzle10, what if I'm a snobby stick driving American?
@Karl with a K, then it's oK...with a K
@Superior Cotton, too bad!
@Superior Cotton, this is hilarious
@Karl with a K, Join the club! :)
You can give mine a few wobbles😉
@Johnny B Goode, oh ye bb gimme some a dem tiddies.
@Johnny B Goode, *snap, I think I broke it
@Johnny B Goode, gotta give me few woobles 😜
@Johnny B Goode, my favorite thing is when I have a crush in my car and as I'm driving I just awkwardly kinda turn to her and go "hey...do you wanna..ya know..shift my stick?😎" if she's into me it works and I don't have to shift gears anymore!
@Johnny B Goode, you can be goode johnny...you can be goode
How else are you supposed to know?
My dad actually instilled this habit within my driving style.
@Superior Cotton, same but it's a good habit because I've had it happen where I thought my truck was in neutral and let off the clutch and bam. It was not lol
@Slayer9200, same. Maybe it's just the official way to learn and it's done by everyone that drives a manual
@Superior Cotton, believe it or not i actually began this habit when i started driving stick myself. I thought i was the only one lol
@Sim0nSays , i hope to learn manual soon. I dont get the joke. Why do u wobble it
@MrPalm, when it's in neutral the shifter moves left and right, meaning there is no power going to the wheels. If you let the clutch out and the car is in gear it will move, but will sit still in neutral.
@MrPalm, to make sure it's in neutral. Car won't start in gear with clutch engaged. You can start in gear with the clutch open, but why? Also arguably better to park in neutral. If your car is hit while parked you won't have the gear box ruined.
@MrPalm, sorry i thought i replied to you. I guess it never sent tho. I do it to make sure it is in neutral. If it is in a gear and you release the clutch while coming to a stop or already beign that you are not moving ut will stall. I wiggle it to make sure it is lose and not in gear. Just a habit tho
@MrPalm, you'll understand it much better when you drive stick or even if you just feel how a manual shifter is. Try stick shift though. Once you do you will never want to go back. And even better, stick shifts are slightly cheaper than automatics
I think it's set to wombo
Just curious, when you guys pull the e brake to park do you also put it in gear or leave it in neutral?
@Hickmonsta, put it in gear, parking brake isn't that secure.
@Dr Rick Marshall, I've always just left it in neutral unless I'm parking on a hill
@Hickmonsta, I just don't trust my parking brake enough lol. Peace of mind.
@Hickmonsta, I always park it in 2nd gear just a habit.
@Hickmonsta, neutral because if the car is hit while in gear, the gearbox will be damaged. Only case I would leave it in gear is when parking on a steep incline.
As a stick shift driver, this is true
I feel like the only person that doesn't do this
Yup that's the idea
I for one enjoy playing with my stick while I sit in traffic.
Anyone else pretend they're charging up the engine when your shaking the shifter knob? No... ok
I srsly think people do it because why not. I honestly have more fun driving my manual then driving an automatic.
Why is this supposed to be funny? I better put it in gear if I want it to start moving. Did I do this right?
I don't know why I do it, I just do.
