@Doughnut Boy, Well, there have been many faces on the 20, including George Washington and Pocahontas prior to Andrew Jackson. Ironically, Jackson hated paper currency, and even cautioned against it in his farewell address. Additionally, Harriet Tubman paid 20 dollars for her parents freedom. This information has been brought to you courtesy of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Wikipedia.

@Doughnut Boy, it's symbolic, and it doesn't matter one way or another. Currency changes often in other countries. Eventually, tubman will stick with mlk, or Anthony. The side that's playing it up as a huge victory is over exaggerating, but the side against it is just as bad. It ain't the end of the world.

@DJ Khaled, woahhhh there. Andrew Jackson is not even close to Hitler level. There is a massive difference between the 4500 people and the mass genocide of 6 MILLION people. Jackson was a complete jerk, but he basically wanted to assert his authority and legacy through various means. Good God you just made me defend Andrew Jackson a little bit. I hate you for that.

@The Silver Shroud, you're so dumb. How can she be a republican when women couldn't even vote. She sided with freeing slaves. And as far as guns, it wasn't like she was a gun crazy NRA member. It was stated she used a gun on her missions only as for protection and as a way to help command the missions. Other than that the only other time she was on record with a weapon was when she was enlisted to help in the civil war. Get your facts straight and stop trying to slander people
-
@Jeb Bush, just because a set of persons have the same cause doesn't mean they are one in the same. I have had similar interests as republicans but that doesn't make me a republican. Her agenda was always helping to free slaves including her family because she herself was a slave meaning she did so regardless of any party and would have continued doing so regardless of any party. I don't see that as being a republican. But even IF she was that's not a big deal because her goal was freeing slaves, plus republicans today aren't the same
-
@ArchonErikr, what?! Ok ya he's a war vet also displaced a crap tone of NATIVE AMERICANS from they homes by force imagine if some random people rolled up too your town put a gun to your head and told you to pick up all yo crap and move you would be so happy if anyone is going to go it should be him and Tubman did a crap ton she brought a bunch of slaves to freedom
-
@Ninja0722, because it didn't have to change. They don't care who Tubman is. If they did, they would have chosen someone else, since Tubman was a gun loving republican. All they care about is getting a black woman on money. It goes hand in hand with the black lives matter movement and is a move for them to try and make Obama look like he "changed money for the better" They don't give a fvck about Tubman. It's not about her. It's about trying to look good to get votes. Funny how all this happened during election time right?
-
@The Silver Shroud, women didn't belong to any party. She could not vote. How can you be part of a political party but have no rights within it. I've done my research. Have you? I know the facts of her gun use, I know the bullshjt pictures they have trying to portray her as a gun nut, that aren't even pictures of her
-
@Tokenblackguy, woah, you calling me a racist because Hariet Tubman is a gun toting republican? I couldn't care less if it was a little gray alien on the front. But 1, we don't have money for even ourselves let alone to do this. 19 trillion in debt and you want to spend more? 2. This is obviously a ploy for the democratic party to try and act like they care about minorities. Which in reality, they have you brainwashed to believe that you are helpless and need daddy government to help you out. People like you are pathetic. And don't throw the race bullshjt at me. You're just sad.

@Jeb Bush, I didn't say "all black people" I said black people referring to HT. Call me crazy, but I've noticed certain people always tend to do things to paint black people in a negative light...but I'm not going to get into that. It doesn't matter anyway. People are just gonna downvote me either way because they don't experience what I experience so they'll just think I'm spouting pro-black nonsense
-
@Snarfel Burger, once again, never said anything about racist, and trust me I've seen it all the time. A lot of black people see HT on the bill as good and an advancement in or society and look, the first thing people do is try to call her undeserving. Little kids get shot and choked on the news and they first thing they do is try to paint them as thugs and criminals. People try to gather together with the BlackLivesMatter movement and then the first thing that comes up is "well you kill each other" as if that's justification for not supporting it...its just crazy
-
@Jeb Bush, BLM has nothing to do with any of that. It's only meaning was that blacks felt they were being treated unfairly by police, etc and felt that their lives are just as important as whites, etc. it's literally only saying we are just as important as y'all so treat us as such. Not we are special or anything like that. Anyone who has took it as more than that has interpreted the meaning in a wrong way.
-
@Snarfel Burger, I like how u have victims in quotes. I'm not saying every situation ppl were completely innocent but there are situations when these people did nothing wrong at the time of their death, but they portray them as thugs and criminals as a way of justifying their deaths. And for the last time, I never said anything about racist.
-
@Jeb Bush, well that's stupid in my opinion, and like I said, some people took BLM to mean something that it doesn't and those people are wrong, including those u mentioned. But I did think it was kind of crazy how when those Paris attacks happened there was in attack in like one of those African countries and there was barely any coverage or support on that. No fb pic filters of anything
-
@Tokenblackguy, name one person you considered innocent that was portrayed as a thug by the media. Don't start that "black people are being persecuted by police" or "don't get treated fairly" bullsh!t. More whites are shot by police even though they commit less crime. Blacks make up about 18 percent of the population but commit half the crime, so you'd think they'd likely be shot even more. This black persecution by police is a myth which makes the BLM movement useless and it needs to fade already.

@Ninja0722, Hold up: I was referring to Grant, on the $50. I think we should keep Jackson on the $20 because of 3 things: 1: Irony. He didn't trust paper money. 2: War hero, who stopped the British in Louisiana. 3: One of his promised policies was the moving of Indians, which he enacted. And while we may not like what they do, I think politicians who do in office what they say they're going to do while running should be given some form of acknowledgement. It might set a good example for today's politicians.
Why Beyonce? It could be Sasha Grey, or even Mia Khalifa, and/or Lisa Ann
