@Rook, here's to context, a villain is choking a hero, this is to make him seem even more like a villain, giving him threat to the heroes, you don't need to see x men to get that who ever this guy is, he is threatening, which make you sympathize with his detractors and hope they over come the challenge he presents

@Rook, well your issue is the image is that is was put on billboards without context and I was demonstrating that enough context could be inferred from just the image without having seen the film, I haven't seen it I don't know the plot but just from the image I can see that it conveys to me who is the villain and who is the hero and that they are in a compromised state to the villain make me want them to overcome their adversary, I'm just pointing out that any controversy to come out of this is silly when almost every superhero film is a struggle between good and evil and all this poster did was portray who was good who was evil and the threat that they poised

@VincentV, I'm not implying that I am personally concerned about it. It doesn't OFFEND me. I don't think it's a good idea, but I'm not offended. MY point is that the people who WERE offended were offended because they didn't want their children - who may NOT be familiar with the characters - to just see a man strangling a woman - or vice versa - on a billboard.
