Wasn't there a science to this? Like because they move so slow their bodies don't exert themselves too much and last longer? Idk I remember hearing that.
@Bonersaurus, well there was also that image explaining how mammals seem to universally live for about the same number of heartbeats. while the reptile heart rates don't compare to the mammal heart rates, i would hazard a guess that the same general principle applies to reptiles as well.
