Plot Twist: It was her with a strap-on
Theres a "butt hurt" joke in there somewhere...
In German "NO" is pronounced like nine
@Oh hell nah , really?!?!?! OMG
@Tipathearrow, NEIN NEIN NEIN
@Oh hell nah , that is in-zehn
@Oh hell nah , Das ist wahr
@Oh hell nah , thank you Captain Obvious
@Smegma, das ist mein hut
I think of it as a dirty joke rather than a rape joke. It all falls back to the point of the joke: miscommunication through language. It's suppose to be focused on the fact that she's German and there's miscommunication. Doesn't matter what she was rating honestly (could be his hairstyle), they just happened to make it about sex. They consented to sex, but she was communicating she didn't like it. I don't consider it a rape joke because it was consensual and he didn't realize she was saying No. He was under the impression that he was being rated so he kept going. If the teller was aware she was saying no, I would consider it rape, but not under these circumstances. It's not the point of the joke, just the subject they chose to base the joke around.
@Sakine, this is the same logic people have when they engage in sexual intercourse with a person that is barely conscious or unconscious. "They didn't say no", "I didn't know they didn't want it", "I thought they wanted it", "they wanted it when we started" are pretty common excuses. It's still rape, and this is a rape joke. I don't even care that it is or isn't, I make the same kinds of jokes myself. Just admit to it and call it by it's name - a rape joke - and get over it already. You're just denying guilt over the subject by trying to justify it.
@Sakine, and I mean that less towards you personally and more towards anyone who's trying to justify laughing at this by saying it's not a rape joke. Justify laughing at it because it has a good set up as joke and an element of surprise. Just admit that it is technically a rape joke as well. It's not a big deal. Everyone makes offensive jokes from time to time, that's why it's good that they're only jokes and hypothetical situations.
@makaylamisty, I'm not trying to deny anything, I honestly didnt even think rape when I read it. If you want to get technical, there is an element of rape in it, but I don't consider it a rape joke. The difference is that he's with his fully conscious girlfriend, and assuming she knows English enough to have have a foreign boyfriend, she could've communicated with him to stop in English if she felt that uncomfortable. But this is going way further than the joke intended. I personally don't think it is. Just a couple experimenting with new things in the bedroom.
@makaylamisty, no what he described was correct and completely different
@AlaskanBullwormmmm, my friend, you are very late to this party.
I'm gna tell him...
Okay, for one thing, that sounds like a joke from somebody else's standup. Plus, rape. It's not funny.
@Martian Manhunter , are you sure?
@Martian Manhunter , that wasn't a rape joke.
Also, rape can be hilarious. Especially if it involves a clown.
@I Are Lebo, *honk honk* it's all floats down here
@I Are Lebo, If a woman screams no or stop during sex, that kinda seems like rape to me regardless of what language it's spoken in.
@I Are Lebo, it was definitely a rape joke. It was a well set up joke, but a rape joke nonetheless.
@Martian Manhunter , She was yelling "Nein" because anal generally hurts. She wasn't yelling it because her BOYFRIEND, who was trying something new with her, was raping her.
@Martian Manhunter , Not a rape joke XD. She was willing to take the D, he just did the wrong hole. Thats the joke
@Martian Manhunter , And here, ladies and gentlemen, we see a prime example of the over-sensitivity that now plagues the world.
@Squidmaster, if I tell my boyfriend "no" at any point during sex, and he doesn't stop, it's rape. You don't disqualify non-consent on the basis of a relationship. Marital rape and date rape are things.
@Martian Manhunter , why the hell are so many people down voting you?! You are absolutely right, this is rape.
@Squidmaster, it doesn't matter if it's her boyfriend; if she doesn't consent, it is rape.
@Martian Manhunter , In the (paraphrased) words of Louis Ck, "you don't like rape? Why not? You wouldn't even be here if your mother hadn't raped that poor Chinese man however many years ago you were born."
@TheColossalTitan, Martian, actually.
@Martian Manhunter , ain't nobody got time for morals rn
@makaylamisty, and if a guy said no to his girlfriend he'd be considered a pvssy now wouldn't he?
@Exotic Xer, that doesn't matter in this conversation. What matters is if he said no to his girlfriend and she forced sex on him anyways. That's rape.
@makaylamisty, just pointing out the double standards, since if the genders were switched this argument wouldn't be here in the first place haha
@Exotic Xer, it would still be there though. Rape is an action, not an opinion. Women get called btches for not putting out, but that's just name calling. It still wouldn't matter until sex is forced on her, which is rape. It works the same way regardless of gender - if any part of the act of sex is unwanted, then it's rape, regardless of who said no. That's all.
@makaylamisty, I know I completely agree, rape happens both ways. However, I'm saying if the guy was the victim in this case, this whole comment chain wouldn't exist
@Im my own grandpa, According to the definition of rape, yes he is sure. Unless you live in Mike Pence's Indiana, then there is no such thing as rape at all. You can screw your daughter's and her friends all you want, its not rape.
But it the rest of the world if at any point one of them says "no" or "stop" and the other continues, then it is rape. It's actually kind of a problem because some people are under the incorrect impression that you cannot rape or be raped by someone you are in a relationship with. But just like beating your spouse or abusing them in other ways, raping of spouses is a real thing.
@makaylamisty, thank you! You get it.
Why do u guys have to be so butt hurt over a fvcking joke
@Martian Manhunter , Well, it IS canon that Martian Manhunter can't take a joke, so really you're just staying in character.
@Illegally Dank, people feel smart when they get to type a lot
@makaylamisty, Thank you so much for all you have said today
@Martian Manhunter , you must be the girl in the joke considering you are so butt hurt. Seriously, for all you people who couldn't take the joke, no on else cares, so quit thinking so highly of yourselves for b**ching about a picture on an app. Keep that bulls**t to yourselves.
@Martian Manhunter , bro it was a joke, no one said rape was ok. If i make a holocaust joke it doesnt mean i support genocide. Not everywhere has to be ultra PC, ppl need to stop being so sensitive
@Martian Manhunter , can you and all the other sjw's just fvck off back to tumblr already? We come here for funnies and at the end of the day, that's all this is, a joke, no one got hurt from it. Unless someone uppercuts you with a dictionary, words don't hurt, get over it and enjoy the app.
@makaylamisty, if you consent to sex, and he is halfway, and you change your mind and start yelling no when a second ago you were yelling yes, that does not make it rape. That makes you insane.
Also, for a man, getting halfway then being made to stop is physically painful. Blue balls isn't just a joke we make, it's an actual physical condition.
But even then. This isn't a rape joke. The joke is she agreed to do anal but then found she didn't like it (honestly, I don't think very many people do).
More importantly, it's a joke. Get off your high horse. It's a freaking joke.
@Gatsby, firstly, this is a joke, not an accurate reselling of a story. Secondly, "we tried anal". That implies consent, at least at the beginning.
Most importantly, IT'S A FÜCKING JOKE! If this is the type of thing you feel compelled to call out as moral or ethical issue, then you must lead a blessed life. Focus your energy on something a little more productive. Nobody on here is endorsing rape, so you stand to accomplish NOTHING. Move on to something that matters.
@I Are Lebo, it is a joke, and I think it's a good joke. I'm not on a high horse, I'm just saying that people need to stop trying to make themselves feel good by making excuses for why it's not rape, and just admit that it is a rape joke. It's not a big deal if it is or isn't, just call it by what it is.
And yes, it is still rape. You have the right to change your mind at any point in the process and go from consenting to non-consenting. It's not crazy, it's safety. It's the other party's responsibility to stop, blueballed or not. Is the pain of blue balling really more important than the pain of anal rape? You can get rid of blue ball pain at least by jacking off. It's rape if she said no and he kept going, that's all there is to it.
@Martian Manhunter , Seems to me the butthurt isn't just coming from the German girlfriend, but also in this comment chain
@Grandfather Cock, You...that joke is golden!
@makaylamisty, it's a half finished story, making fun of the connection between words. It doesn't say she said stop, it doesn't say anything.
Stop reading into things. You may as well talk about how the joke about the chicken crossing the road is animal cruelty. Move the fück on.
@I Are Lebo, "No" means "stop" in sex. Please remember that for the sake of your future partners. If he/she starts yelling "no", then you need to stop.
Besides that, all I said was that this is technically a rape joke. I'm not reading into anything past that. I laughed at this joke. I'm not bothered by anything except the number of people on this thread that don't understand what consent is, like you. Let it go already.
@I Are Lebo, you're right, it is a joke. In fact, earlier makaylamisty even said it was a well structured joke, which is true. I have no problem if you found this funny; I personally did not. However, this is absolutely a joke about rape.
@makaylamisty, this argument is a clear case of first world problems. And it has kind of annoyed me that this argument us gone on as it has. Therefore, for your (and my) viewing please, some ACTUAL rape jokes:
I was raping this woman the other day, and she screamed "please, think of my children!" That bïtch was kinky!
Statically speaking, 9 out of 10 people enjoy gang rape.
A man walks up to a woman in a bar and says "you're going to get laid tonight." Surprised, she's says "how do you know that? Are you psychic?" He says "no. I'm stronger than you."
I recently bought a rape whistle. It's quite handy for covering up the screams.
I saved a woman from being raped last night. I stayed home instead.
If you really enjoy complaining about jokes, there you go. I have you something to complain about. You're welcome.
@I Are Lebo, those are actually good, I read them to my boyfriend. Thanks!
@makaylamisty, I'm glad we could end on a positive note.
This time I mean it sincerely. You're welcome. And thank you.
Hello! You guys might not know, but by laughing at this joke you are partaking in what is known as "rape culture" which is defined as " an environment in which rape is prevalent and in which sexual violence against women is normalized and excused in the media and popular culture." Your consent to these kind of jokes broadcasts a message to actual rapists that says "this is fine and we can all laugh about it!" If you are okay with this, then I have to say I'm extremely disappointed, but I can't control any of you. If you would like to read more about this, you should check out Wikipedia and Marshall University.
@o shoot waddup, THIS IS NOT A RAPE JOKE STOP TAKING EVERYTHING SO SERIOUSLY. JUST CHLL PEOPLE.
@o shoot waddup, you should have infinitely more downvotes, get off your high horse. You pc ppl will find anything to get offended by. No one rapes because society tells them its ok, society has vehemently condemned rape for some time now, they do it because they are rapists. Blame the rapist not society
@Pemdasness, I'm actually very "chill." You're the one yelling.
@AlaskanBullwormmmm, Sorry, I suppose I didn't explain this properly. It is certainly not a society that outwardly promotes rape. The key word in that definition is "environment[s]," meaning not singular people, but a cultural response and way of thinking towards rape, the response usually being dismissive or complacent.
@o shoot waddup, laughing at a joke isn't the same as saying rape is okay. It's ok to laugh at things that are wrong or bad. Being able to laugh at terrible things every once in a while is how we live in a world full of terrible things. It's how we keep them from completely crushing us and destroying us.
@KingHamletsGhost, I wholeheartedly agree with your point! But it's pretry inappropriate for joke of such a sensitive manner to be made by a person who hasn't really experienced it. If someone who was raped could only cope by joking about it themselves, then I suppose that would be their personal way of dealing with their trauma and it would be okay. (I've never seem this with rape victims but I suppose it's possible.) Most rape jokes are unfortunately made by people who have never experienced rape and therefore cannot understand; moreover, it certainly wouldn't be something that's destroying them, which means they have no reason to joke about it.
@o shoot waddup, here's the thing, rape is not "prevalent" sexual assault and harassment ate, but not rape. No one has ever raped someone because they heard a rape joke. People in the west who rape never think society is okay with it, they think they can get away with it. If you want to see a real rape culture look at what happened in Germany on new year's eve. People from a culture that actually condones rape went out and raped hundreds of women. If you want statistics, a study from Washington university found that 9 out 10 people enjoy gang rape.
@o shoot waddup, I wasn't yelling I was typing in caps which implies yelling.
@o shoot waddup, laughing at something does not mean you think it's okay.
I'm Jewish. All four of my grandparents were Holocaust survivors. There are very few things someone could say to me that would make me violent. If someone calls me a kike? I don't care, they're an ignorant bigot. Someone tells me all the Jews should die? Whatever, they're an idiot who doesn't understand how the world works. But if someone looked me in the eye and sincerely told me that the Holocaust never happened and it was a hoax/scam/fake?
I would break their fücking jaw.
Having said that, I make Holocaust jokes all the time. Awful jokes, too. I subscribe to the belief that you need to see the humour in EVERYTHING. Especially the things that aren't funny. You laugh, because otherwise you cry or rage, and neither of those feel good. It's not healthy to be upset all the time.
I rate burps with my German girlfriend. We always give each other weak numbers just to troll each other :P
This is a dirty joke. The first post I found was from reddit 3 days ago.
