WERE great not ARE great, so he's saying it's not great anymore
@guy you know, no because stopped is past tense. So he said what he meant to
@guy you know, well, it kinda isn't. America has a LOT of things going wrong that need to be addressed before they can really be considered great again.
Is that a wall they're sitting on? *Donald Trump-ness intensifies*
@Kevin Dazed, Triggered .
“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country … not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change,” she said. “I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment.” Michelle Obama
@smartstu, don't worry, this tranny didn't think America was great either.
@smartstu, There's nothing wrong with being transgender and there's nothing wrong with recognizing that you're country needs improvement.
@KeKesUHaulFacility , So Moochelle saying that she wasn't proud of her country until her husband ran is okay? She didn't say anything about our country needing improvement. If America is still great, why change it? We're not as great as we used to be and that does need to change! The Obama legacy is one of the worst in recent history, an economy barely growing, and racial tensions steadily increasing thanks to Obama, fanning the flames!
@smartstu, still not as bad as George W. Bush
@NoWay007, keep telling yourself that.
@smartstu, Coming off of an economy drastically falling, an economy barely growing is still pretty damn good. The racial tension was always there, you just weren't paying attention you silly goose. You had yourself separated from everything that didn't correlate with your experience of America and now that you're being forced to clash with how the other half lives you're uncomfortable. All that's happened in terms of changing racial tensions is people are turning their heads to look at what was already there.
@KeKesUHaulFacility , you guys haven't had a President that actually moved the country in a direction that was good for it in generations. The Bushes AND the Clintons are self serving to the point of it costing the country. There are more broken systems in the USA than stable ones. Education, infrastructure, prisons, medicine, welfare, taxation, the class wage gap, racial tensions, treatment of lgbt people, the list goes on.
These are all things that are broken because of a series of people whose priority truly was not to make America better for everyone. It was to make America better for themselves, their families, their people, and NO ONE ELSE.
Obama was a part of this, both Bushes were a part of this. Clinton was a part of this.
The war on drugs is really a war on black people. The war in the Middle East is really an excuse to get oil.
The country needs to have new leadership badly. They also need to take on a new outlook.
@KeKesUHaulFacility , it's still pretty good? Tell that to people who graduate and cannot find jobs!the racial tensions have gotten worse, BLM didn't exist over 8 years ago. They have incited murder, theft, and segregation. So what have the "other half lives," done to fix their problems? You want to know why the "other half lives," are doing so poorly? They blame everybody else for their problems but themselves.
@I Are Lebo, America spends trillions of dollars on their military. Trillions. Then they send them throughout the world on various interests. At the end of the day, that money is completely wasted, because nothing is accomplished. Democracy is something that every country needs to get to on their own in order for it to be successful. Eventually, democracy will be replaced by the next better system we as humans come up with. Forcing a country to adopt a system of government that they aren't ready for is a foolish mistake that will only ever result in catastrophe. ISIS exists as a direct result of America taking out Sadam Hussein. That entire conflict is one the USA had no business getting involved in. It was none of their business. And the ONLY reason why they got involved was oil. It was selfish, self centred, short thinking self interest.
I don't see this changing any time soon.
You don't need liberals or conservatives. Both parties are deeply flawed. (One more....)
@I Are Lebo, change is a necessary part of life. You evolve or you stagnate. But both major political parties are against change. With conservatives, it's right there in the name. They want everything to go back to how it was 100 years ago, because that's what they understand and they want it to stay that way forever. This is foolish, and childish. The world does not work that way.
Liberals are all about freedom. Except there's no forward thinking. There's no thought about "what happens next?" It's incredibly short sighted, and illogical. If the most left-winged people had their way, there wouldn't be police, or laws, and your rights and freedoms would end on the barrel of a gun. That's a system that will completely fall apart.
You don't need Trump, and you don't need Hillary. Most of you don't want either of them. What you needed, and what you never really had a chance to get, was Bernie Sanders. But if not him, you need to stand up for (or stand up AS) the next Progressive.
@smartstu, I promise you racial tension has been at a static level for quite some time now. And even if it is growing, so what? Really who cares? It's not like bad vibes are gonna bring down systemic racism and deliver us from this lily white hellscape, so what does it matter if things are getting a little hairy? Are you scared or something?
@I Are Lebo, Bernie Sander? The politician with one foot in the grave? No thanks. We have a progressive in the White House and our country is in tatters. We need stability, not a progressive agenda, which is really a totalitarian agenda.
@KeKesUHaulFacility , I told you that it had gotten worse. Who cares? Perhaps the families of the dead police officers, maybe they care. BLM defends thugs who murder and steal, but when there are shootings in Chicago. Including black kids, they laugh it off. They cannot exploit those thugs. There isn't "systematic racism." That buzz word is used to promote racism against whites. Is it my fault that black women get knocked up with children that the black fathers have no intention of raising? How is that my fault? Lol! Blacks have it better here than they do in African countries, with their war, poverty, and famine. Even the poor blacks on welfare in this country are pleasantly plump. If they feel sick, they whip out those Medicaid card at the ER.
@smartstu, you don't have a progressive in the White House, and your county is in tatters now.
If you truly think that progressive and totalitarian mean the same thing, then you're an ignorant moron who isn't worth talking to.
@I Are Lebo, we do have a progressive in the White House and you don't know any better because apparently, you don't live in the USA. Progressivism doesn't mean positive progress. Hitler was a Progressive. Look at all the good he accomplished. Oh that's right, he murdered thousands upon a thousands of people. Including torturing Jews.
@smartstu, Honestly we'll never know if the people that BLM defends did anything wrong because those people never went to court and you're innocent until proven guilty by a court of law, with regards to the Constitution those were innocent people. Your view of black people is honestly sickening, like who raised you to think it was ok to talk about people like that? Black women and poor black people are a thousand times more vibrant, interesting, and worthwhile than you could ever be.
@KeKesUHaulFacility , these people have had previous offenses. Including the most recent one (Tony Robinson). BLM made this thug a saint. I see the news sir. If I see some black guy in baggy clothes spouting the N word, rapping about killing the police. I'm going to assume they are thugs, or wannabe thugs. If a black man is in a business suit and is talking on a news panel, I am not going to assume he is a thug. Appearances count sir. Just like if you see a white man in KKK garb, you will assume, just as I will, that they're racist. You can imply that based on how they're dressed. So stop pretending that it isn't so.
I don't have any problems with black people. I masturbate to black porn all the time! Lol
@KeKesUHaulFacility , actually we know from information gathered that almost every single one of the people who BLM defends and holds protest for where in fact breaking the law in some manner or being incredibly stupid when confronting police or both. The few instances, like Philando Castile, are the only cases where there is strong evidence that they did nothing to warrant being shot or killed.
@smartstu, I hate to butt in, but Trump and Sanders are within 4 years of each other
@UmActually, which one looks like they're going to make it another 4 years?
@smartstu, Both? It's hard to tell under all of Trump's fake tan and makeup, but toupee glue is pretty toxic.
@UmActually, Bernie is slipping and can barely make it up stairs. Poor old codger actually thought he could run against Hillary, another old democratic coot.
@smartstu, his age is irrelevant. All he would've needed was four years, and he would have pulled your country, if not from the brink, at least a few more inches from the edge.
The United States of America is in the worst condition it has been in since the civil war.
@I Are Lebo, look who has been in charge for the last 8 years. PROGRESSIVE LEFTIST OBAMA! Lol Bernie would have our country turn into Greece, a Socialist hell hole.
@smartstu, Obama is not a progressive. He may claim to be. His actions speak differently.
And while socialism is a terrible thing when combined with communism or a dictatorship, socialism is absolutely necessary to maintain a democracy long term.
I admit that last point is arguable, that's my opinion.
@I Are Lebo, Obama is a progressive. He has taken the USA farther left and as a result, coal miners are out of work, healthcare costs are going up, not down, and college graduates are unable to find jobs. Things are bleak because of that man and his progressive ideology. That and the Republicans are terrified of being called racist if they oppose him.
@smartstu, you clearly do not understand what it means to be a progressive. Obamacare was not progressive, it was simply pitched that way. Nothing he has done in the last eight years has been actually progressive.
Obama is a progressive the same way Trump is a republican.
@smartstu, progressive isn't left. Left is Liberal. A progressive leader tackles every issue on its own.
The idea that your opinion on abortion dictates your opinions on gun control, labor laws, healthcare, and minimum wage is insanity and THAT, more than anything else is why the US is so fücked up. The two party system fails on EVERY level.
@I Are Lebo, so he hasn't tackled "gay marriage, healthcare inequality, racial inequality, and THE WAR ON TERROR?" He has been the most polarizing figure we've seen in recent times sir. We don't have a 2 party system you jackyass! We have multiple parties that are private institutions, just like the two main ones. They never garner any support because they're to small to matter! It's easier to make a decision on two options, rather than 5!
@smartstu, the very idea that anybody besides the two major parties are too small to matter is why it is a two party system. Not because there aren't any other parties. "You're voting independent? You may as well be throwing your vote away." You realize there are more people campaigning for president than just Trump and Clinton? Because that puts you in a minority group.
Yes, Obama tackled those issues. And made not the slightest changes to any of them. Addressing issues doesn't make one progressive. Being progressive is realizing that things as they are aren't working, and instead of trying to fix the system you come up with a replacement for it.
I don't believe there has EVER been a progressive president. (There's been a few who have pretended to be, though)
@I Are Lebo, so you at least admit, it's not a two party system. The two main parties are the ones that matter. They have the most voters than any other party. So how can the two main parties be a minority? Obama said "We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America." You can't get more progressive than that. Additionally, progressive ideas are forced on people over night, they take time, unfortunately for the USA, this fuker is doing it with little to no opposition. We have had several progressive presidents in the last 100 years. FRD LBJ BHO are a few of them.
@smartstu, couple things to clarify. I wasn't saying that republicans or democrats were a minority. I was saying that the majority of people act like there are only two parties, with one candidate each.
And you're right, there have been a number of progressive presidents, I was generalizing, and I shouldn't do that.
But Obama isn't one of them. He pretended to be, he ran for presidency twice on progressive promises. But he lied. The United States of America is fundamentally identical now to how it was when Obama took office.
Do some research. How many pieces of legislature has Obama actually passed through congress? Of them, how many really stood to benefit everyone and not just a select few?
At the end of the day, labels aren't really that important. Whether you (or he) consider Obama to be left leaning, right leaning, Liberal, Progressive, it doesn't really matter. The important question is is/was he good for the country? The answer is no. No, he was not.
@I Are Lebo, Those are the only two parties that matter because the voting base for both parties is more massive than the other parties. Stop with the condescending "you should do your research," garbage. I have done my homework and I can go back for the last 8 years to prove to you that he is a far left progressive narcissist. I agree with you on your last statement. He sucks as a president. The only reason why millions of people voted for him was because of his race. I hope Americans aren't stupid enough to vote for Hillary, over the same kind of superficial reason.
@smartstu, I admit, for a while I wanted Hillary to win, partially because of the whole 'first female president' thing, but also because of the fact that Bill would then be the first First Man. But there are way too many people around her that have died mysteriously for me to be comfortable with her having the reins.
@I Are Lebo, yes. There are a lot of "mysterious deaths," that are intertwined with the Clintons. The whole "First Lady," are fuking stupid. It's the same thing as electing the first quadriplegic president. It's a means of pretending that are deserving of the office, because they're allegedly different. It's stupid.
Just so long as you ignore the European internet users.
Guess you could say his hopes and dreams were... Trumped!
*puts on sunglasses while epic music plays
America is great. Its America's who are not so great
"Thanks, Nephew Sam Jr."
Is it a flag poster? Why no color on the other side?
