@MickelPickel, Have you considered turning off comments until they lose interest? These trolls tend to quit after a period of time, but you might not what to do that. Another thing might be, to simply make a video addressing why there are so many negative comments, and then simply stop responding to them altogether, and focus on only responding to the positive comments. One thing I've learned is that you cannot fight stupidity and hate, you can only help grow positivity. In the end, the only solution I can give you is to weather the storm and do not give them any sign that what they are doing is affecting you.

@MickelPickel, well, I'm not sure what you can do about it, but that's libel. Using false information to damage a person's reputation is illegal, not to mention the fact that it is causing you pain. I feel like that is grounds for a lawsuit. I don't know how far the anonymity rules go on 4chan, but if there's no way to bring some justice to whoever is behind this, then this combination of internet policies is in violation of federal laws. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, I actually would like to know more about it. But that seems illegal to me.

@icantfindmyfamily, I'm honestly not sure if this is really combatable on a legal stage. Internet law is complicated, especially when anonymity is involved. As a really small channel (56 subs) I don't think YouTube would devote a ton of resources to find an anonymous troll. If it were purely a YouTube user harassing me, then it's pretty easy to combat effectively using resources already available to me. I just hope that some of my subs don't see it; I work at a children's hospital, and I don't want any of the kids who have subscribed to me to see that negative garbage.

@MickelPickel, to my knowledge 4chan posts are not 100% anonymous, because of certain legalities they have to log IPs and such of posters iirc. Filing a libel suit would work to uncover the trolls illegal actions. Also, you've got an awesome community behind you here. We could in theory, rally the troops and launch a counter attack, but that doesn't always work for small channels
Hi y'all; sorry to bother you with this, but I've been having a bad week. Almost every day now, I've been getting pretty intense messages on my YouTube channel because of someone posting my videos on 4chan asking for people to raid it at every chance they get (one day it was because he told people I cheated with his girlfriend; another is because I beat up his sister, both obviously false). It's gotten pretty bad; I'm having to ban people daily from my channel for posting some sort of harassment. My question to y'all is; how should I deal with this? Because 4chan is anonymous, there isn't much I can do to find the source of this hate. Normally I'd let it go, but as a small channel, when more than half of my interactions with commenters is incredibly negative, it gets real draining real fast. Even though I know there are people who enjoy my content, I feel like stopping uploads because of the constant hate. Any advice is appreciated; thanks a ton!
