Oh I see, so when vegetarians request meat free options it's "inclusive" and "modern" yet when I add meat at salad places it's "disgusting" and "I need to remove my penis from the salad."
As a carnivore I'm actually totally in favor of this. My girlfriend is vegetarian so I can't usually get burgers when I'm with her since most places don't have anything she can eat.
@JJJSchmidt, I also don't see what's wrong with asking a place to make something you'd be willing to buy. They can refuse, but if they acquiesce to the request they'll get more business. It's almost like this meme is wanting segregation or something.
"NO PLANTS ALLOWED!!"
@JJJSchmidt, see, I view this issue with the same logic as why there isn't a straight pride parade. But I'm biased because I'm gay and a vegetarian 😅
@JJJSchmidt, I cannot think of one place I have ate in the past 4-5 years that doesn't have vegetarian options. Every burger place I have been to has a blackbean burger or a veggie burger option. If they don't have that then they have salads or a bun with every topping but meat.
@JJJSchmidt, "Well, if you like burgers, give them a try sometime. Me, I can't usually get them 'cause my girlfriend's a vegetarian, which pretty much makes me a vegetarian. I do love the taste of a good burger"
@JJJSchmidt, order 2 regular cheese burgers (one of them with meat and cheese on the side) add that meat and cheese to yours. Viola. You have a double double.
@RiffRaff, The only place that has anything like that around here is P. Terry's no where else does. And as for just putting lettuce and tomatoes on a bun, wasn't that a punchline in Spongebob?
In defense of this demand, there are a sh*t-tonne of cities with no vegan or vegetarian options aside from a side-salad. I feel like adding options for these unfortunately "moral" people in chain and popular places isn't such an awful dea.
Why is it a problem to want a vegetarian option on the menu? It's not like the person was to get them to stop serving beef, just ADD something to the menu.... It is actually a good business move as it means the restaurant will then be appealing to a wider market, and will get more business.
in'n'out is the most crushingly disappointing experience i've had in a looooooong time, i dont get the hype, the burgers arent the best and the fries are pretty terrible. 7/10
