Have you guys seen those videos where idiots are protesting in the middle of the highway, and eventually one guy has had enough and just drives right through the crowd? Always makes me laugh.
@FP Waiter, yeah, those are the best
@FP Waiter, did he get arrested? If he did that's kinda stupid
@frosty licker, being annoyed that you will be late somewhere is not a valid defense to manslaughter/assault with a deadly weapon. If he didn't get arrested it would be bad policing.
@HappyApe, well they should have thought of that before 7 officers in Dallas werr killed.
@Firecracker Jim, who should have thought about it? The people blocking the street who had nothing to do with the shooter in Dallas?
@Lord Commander Snow, yea you are right, just because they shout ftp and kill pigs doesn't mean they want dead cops. Silly me.
@frosty licker, no he didn't get arrested
@HappyApe, nope. Do a google search. In one case "police file charges against protesters for SUV damage" after it broke the line dragging several with it.
@frosty licker, I've seen videos that claim they charged the protesters for the damage it caused his vehicle
@HappyApe, Standing in the middle of the road is also illegal.
@HappyApe, actually depending on the state, it's illegal to enter the freeway on foot. Also, the vehicles are not required to yield or stop by law in some states as well. Walking onto the freeway often places the pedestrian responsible for damages in these states.
@FP Waiter, change does not come easy. Our independence did not come without violence. The freedom of slaves did not come without violence. Civil rights movement also had violence. We should not take a movement for equality lightly either. People vote for the president of the United States of America who could potentially affect change in our country. I recognize that electoral votes decides the president but all should be accountable for how citizens are treated. It is our country and the change should start with ordinary people. Law changes shouldn't be required for basic human decency.
@FP Waiter, whoa guys don't start a war, nobody is changing anyone's minds in the comments of a funny picture.
@HappyApe, no one was hurt, he just kept moving foreword and people moved out of the way
@HappyApe, if the police don't remove the ass holes blocking the highway it's bad policing
@HappyApe, The people shouldnt even be on the highway in the first place, its made for cars not people. Therefore the priority is the car, not a pedestrian unlike a regular street. Walking on a highway is an arrestable offense anyways
@HappyApe, what if someone has an emergency, and the ambulance or first responders aren't able to get to them because of àssholes blocking the road. Fûck them, I hope they died.
@WelI Obviously, amen. At that point its a public disturbance which is fvcking illegal. I dont see why theyre not treated like rioters and tear gassed maced and dragged off to jail. You want to make a point block the police station or the courthouse keep the lawyers and judges from getting to their jobs those are the imbeciles whose minds they need to change not Joe Schmoe who is getting fired for being late 1 more time.
@HappyApe, its bad policing to let idiots screw up people's lives like that. You don't know if one of those drivers could get fired for being late, lose an opportunity, or have an emergency. Its on the idiots in the road if they get hit, not the drivers.
@HappyApe, yeah, but when your protesting hinders others, then why the fvck should they care? Not like the ppl that are protesting is thinkin of them. What if sumone wss being rushed to the hospital n then u got these fvcks in your way... U just gunna let your friend die?
@HappyApe, How is it not? If you are in an interstate and some dipshjt walks in the middle of the road, how is it your fault that you hit him. Plus I'm pretty sure none of the people "protesting" were arrested for the felony of blocking a major roadway nor were they charged with the obstruction of emergency services, almost causing a young child to die and costing a public hospital thousands of dollars and resources to get the helicopter to pick him up so he could be saved in time. Now THAT is bad policing.
@HateCuzItsFree, you do realise the civil rights movement actually had peaceful protest and a leader(mlk) that demanded that there was no violence. Also what inequality are you talking about cause it is actually non-existent
@FP Waiter, truer words have never been spoken.
@bigbrownbeaver, please explain to me how inequality is non-existent when a black man with a mental disorder is shot and killed for suspicion of having a gun (which he didn't have), and a white man is subdued after SHOOTING three people? Not arguing just genuinely curious about where you see a lack of inequality.
@notMrWonka, just look up the statistics as a white man you are more likely to be shot by cops
@notMrWonka, the mental insane man you are talking about had a metal vape pen or something of the sorts and pointed it at cops suddenly and assumed a shooting stance at close range. He deserved to be shot. They literally have it on video. Secondly, the guy got subdued because he gave up. I have yet to see anyone get shot while surrendering.
@HateCuzItsFree, Okay since high school gov/econ we should know by now that we make the votes and the electoral college votes entirely based on our votes. Yes there is the possibility of faithless voters but is extremely unlikely and stupid to throw away your highly esteemed position and trust to vote outside your party as an electoral college voter. Besides there have been 87 faithless votes in US history for Pres. And V.P. not due to death of the candidate before it was time to vote (obviously you're not going to vote for a dead guy). 2 abstains, and 85 faithless votes. (23 organized against VP Johnson) So 85/(538*44*2) ~= 0.18% of the votes and not one of them had an actual effect on the outcome of the election. Electoral college votes how it's state voted.
@bigbrownbeaver, it's a biased statistic as there are more white men in America. Also, does that statistic include unarmed white men? That's not a valid argument.
@notMrWonka, okay so you think its not biased when a black cop shots a black man then during the protest for that another black man shots a black man but it all gets blamed on white people and the supposed racism? And there is no protest coming from the blm movement that have been about any unarmed white men that gets shot by cops(surprise there are more than you think) and we are called the racist ones
@ Seductive Cheeto, I block major roadways all the time, but I don't see other people b!tching about it. (In all seriousness though, don't purposely block major streets to protest, it's a djck move)
@notMrWonka, actually, it is. Now why don't you be honest about the facts and address how the suspect (who the cops couldn't have possibly known was mentally handicap) pulled an object put of his pocket , assumed a firing stance, and pointed it at the cops. Any cop who wouldn't shoot in that situation should be fired. When you have to ignore facts to make a situation fit what you already believe, that's a good sign what you believe is false.
@Firecracker Jim, and who are these "they" you speak of?
@the toast rider, the blm retards.
@Oujosh29, they did know. The man's sister called 911 for an ambulance. Her brother was having an epileptic seizure and she wanted help to keep him safe. Dispatchers informed them out was a 5150 (dealing with someone with a mental disorder). So I'm sorry what were you saying about ignoring facts to fit what you believe?
@bigbrownbeaver, I think that PEOPLE (all types of people of different races but not everyone) are quick to judge people of color. And assume the worst of them. I don't think it's just cops shooting blacks, and I don't think it's just whites shooting blacks. However, if your job requires you to handle a deadly weapon and make quick decisions, I believe you should be free of those biases. BLM aside, racism aside; you don't find it at all disturbing three unarmed black men have been killed by an officer, when they didn't commit a crime. The cars in referring to are the reverend on the highway Arizona, the man from north Carolina, and the man in California. The last one was especially disturbing, because his sister called for help in his behalf, and her brother ended up getting killed.
@notMrWonka, i was saying you need to stop ignoring facts, which you apparently are commited to doing. The cops had no way of knowing he was that messed up, no way of knowing he didn't have a gun, and they can't help someone who refuses. I noticed you didn't bother talk about the fact the man pulled what could have been a gun, assumed a fighting stance, and pointed it at the cops. Go ahead, logic that fact away. Or do you believe cops should let themselves be killed?
@notMrWonka, do you not find it disturbing that all those three examples are three black men (one who was armed, facts are annoying) refused to coopeate, officers tried to arrest them peacefully, and they made the officers feel threatened? The only real racial bais is people race baiting and refusing to care about facts because they so badly want to believe racism is still significant because people want to be victims and social justice warriors.
@Firecracker Jim, broad strokes are dangerous man
@the toast rider, so are the blm people
@notMrWonka, you know what else is a mental disorder? Schizophrenia. That's even more of a reason to think they would try to shoot you
@notMrWonka, on the weekend of the shooting in Charlotte, the were 5 police involved shootings. We heard about 1 who happens to be black and definitely had a gun. We didn't hear about the other 4 because they were white and didn't fit the narrative. The media is CAUSING racial division and not helping.
@big freedom, Just recently in Louisiana 2 black cops took 18 shots at an unarmed white guy who had his hands out the window, the cops hit his 6 year old son 5 times (from what I've read). it's not being covered like the other unarmed shootings.
@HappyApe, i feel like you could just slowly VERY slowly creep your car through the line. I mean they would eventually be pushed aside right? It isnt like they are going to lie down under your tire if you keep pushing them.
@Dickfinger Mickey, holy shît! Did that really happen? I pay a lot of attention to this stuff, and I haven't seen that at all. That is really sad. But it doesn't fit the medias narrative, so that would explain why it's not being reported.
@FP Waiter, #bestcomments
"We are peaceful people with peaceful protests"
*next protest later*
"WHO DO WE WANT?"
WHEN DO WE WANT THEM?!"
@TopGun, but CNN told me they were peaceful!
@smii7y, CNN is about as truthful as any random person on the internet
@TopGun, *proceeds to burn innocent people's homes instead of actually doing something that benefits the groups beliefs*
@TopGun, Don't forget when they were screaming "Pigs in a blanket, try them like bacon"
@TopGun, *hides in unmarked patrol car*
@TheOneWhoArrestedYou, I'm apply for a local academy. Any words of advice (if your an actual cop?)
@RustyFapwagon, *you're. Not a cop, but I am a person, so I would just recommend treating each person like they're someone you care about and ALWAYS wear your vest.
@notMrWonka, *yo'ur'ere. I'm looking for advice on applying/getting on with a good department. I don't need to be taught how to interact with people. With all the problems that BLM and Islamic fundamentalists have been causing lately in the States I almost want to wear one anyway.
@RustyFapwagon, always treat a person like you would want a good family member to be treated.
red rover, red rover, send the dodge caravan over!
If I was one of the first cars I'd get out, talk to the other drivers along side me and tell them to follow me, and then just slowly drive forward until they'd have to keep backing up and then eventually leave
Hey guys and girls (there are only two genders) I'd like to propose a question for scholarly debate: do you think Martin Luther King would have supported black lives matter?
@Michael Fassbender, ideologically, probably. Would he employ such poor methods? No he knew enough to protest peacefully and in areas where his protesters would be actual victims, rather than BLM's method of smashing shjt and pretending to be victims.
@Michael Fassbender, I think MLK would have supported the peaceful protestors in Black Lives Matter as he was one to lead and support peaceful protests however I don't think he would agree with the ways in which some are handling the situation. Yelling that you want dead cops and having rioters running around in the name of Black Lives Matter would have been a concern for him. Whereas Malcolm X would have been more supportive since he was a more extreme protestor.
@Michael Fassbender, in my ignorance I would like to think that he would support the movement but not some of the methods that are being employed.
@Michael Fassbender, in short, yes.
@Michael Fassbender, it would have been interesting. He probably would have supported it, but also publicly condemned the actions of the rioters. There is actual BLM and then there are those that shout it but don't understand the principle. I'm sure he would support the former and say that the latter wasn't actually BLM.
But that's simply my opinion on what I know about the current situation and what little I know about the 60's. My history concentration is pre World War 2.
@ReeseBobby, very good points but I was thinking more about would he support it because it says BLACK lives when Dr. King was very much against dividing races
@Michael Fassbender, I think if he saw that they advocate for segregated dorms on campuses and other things he fought to destroy, he'd probably not be a big fan.
@Michael Fassbender, Given thatthere are a lot of BLM groups actively trying to bring back segregation on college campuses, I'm gonna go with no.
@ReeseBobby, I upvoted you because I agree with you in the beginning. However BLM isn't about the destruction of property. Those are individuals who also happen to support the cause. Just like I don't think EVERY cop (or any for that matter) are out to just kill every black man they encounter.
@notMrWonka, you ever find it ironic how BLM shouldn't be judged by a few bad protestors but then fraternities are judged as a whole because of a few bad kids? Funny how that works
@Michael Fassbender, not sure what that has to do with me or what I was saying.
@notMrWonka, You say that. Yet after almost every mainstream shooting there's a riot. There have been thousands of rioters. It seems to me you're in the minority in BLM.
@CriTiKa1, let's try this your way: not every single cop is out shooting black people. In fact I'm sure that there are more cops helping black people than they are shooting them. Yet when we hear about police in the media it's about how a cop shot another black man. I'll let you think about how that applies to black lives matter, rioting, and peaceful protest (hint: it's an analogy).
@CriTiKa1, well it seems to me that everyone that I see talking badly about BLM are saying how they think black people are ruining America. However, both of us know it's not okay to over generalize.
@notMrWonka, That analogy would work if there were also thousands of cops killing black people unjustly. But there isn't. So it doesn't work. Try again.
@notMrWonka, why don't we focus on how the BLM never cares about tbe facts of what happened. Do they care if the suspect had a gun? No. Do they care if the guy assaulted the police? No. Do they care if the suspect refused orders and made threaten gestures? No, they ignorantly just go "black guy shot by cop, riot! Loot! Bur bur bur". There are far too many examples of BLM protests turning violent or destructive to say its a small fraction.
@notMrWonka, generalization of groups is bad, as a college student I see fraternities and BLM as two unavoidable topics
@Michael Fassbender, I agree generalizations are bad. But we're not talking about fraternities right now.
@Michael Fassbender, "fraternities are judged as a whole because of a few bad kids"
Oh it's definitely more than a few.
@Michael Fassbender, No. Their protests have become radical and violent. On top of that, the highest demographic killed by police is white and male. Furthermore, unless you're talking about cases like Freddie Gray where power was clearly abused, cops act as they see fit to de-escalate the situation, rather than targeting people of certain races. So BLM's premise and methods are flawed.
@notMrWonka, I know that, but the movements attitude and chosen means of protest (not the rioting) are ineffective. You can't go on the offensive and be the victim. I have no problem with either, but not picking one and sticking to it is a sign of poor leadership.
@Sexy Homunculus, you would know from all the time you spend interacting with them?
@Michael Fassbender, of course. I will say at the university I went to frats and sororities weren't as big as they are at other colleges but I did a study abroad program in Costa Rica where I was one of two guys in a 23 student group (the rest were all girls). I got along with him ok but he was almost the spitting image of a frat douche - he definitely drank more than all of us and kept wanting to play a lot of stupid drinking games and brag about how many girls he banged at his frat's parties. And back at my college I didn't run into many but whenever there was a big event going on campus they were almost always the loudest and most obnoxious attendees. I won't deny the good that frats and sororities do like charitable programs and all that but there's a reason they're know for alcohol abuse, date rape and ridiculous hazing rituals
@Sexy Homunculus, I'm in a frat and literally none of that happens, you went to a small school and at small schools frats get a sort of little man syndrome (seen in my freshman year) now as a transfer to a big sec school and joining a frat they're really not bad at all
@Michael Fassbender, I went to Texas A&M. That is NOT a small school. While it is true that the frat scene there is overshadowed by the Corps of Cadets (they have a much bigger presence) it still led to some encounters I don't want to experience again, not to mention the stories I've heard from others who had more rough experiences. Talking about this reminds me of that old joke that says 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name. While that's meant to be facetious you have to admit there's at least some truth to it, and it's the same for fraternities. If what you said is true though it's nice to know that it sounds as though you're not like that, and if the guys in your fraternity aren't either then I am genuinely glad to hear that
@Sexy Homunculus, no fraternity enforces date rape
@Michael Fassbender, of course no fraternity enforces date rape. If any one did they'd be disbanded immediately. I do agree it's a shame good fraternities sometimes get a bad rap too but so much stupid shjt goes on at other frats that it's no surprise people tend to have negative views towards them. Like I said though I think it's great you're with a group of decent guys so hopefully you all will have a positive impact on your campus. Best of luck to you
I've never understood why you would block the freeway. That's horrible PR. I can't think of anyone who's sitting in their car waiting for these people to get out of the way thinking "Yeah, this is a movement I support." You're getting more people upset at you instead of having them join your movement.
@Commandshark, most people in BLM are idiots that think being spiteful little assholes is the same as protesting.
@Commandshark, I don't agree with their methods either, but I think right now it's about getting noticed. Like when a two year old throws a temper tantrum. The logic is I didn't get desired results
@notMrWonka, when I was behaving, maybe now you'll pay attention when I'm not. Sorry, I hit send too soon).
@notMrWonka, But throwing a temper tantrum as a toddler can just make things worse as the parent might get pissed off and not listen to the kid at all or put the kid in timeout.
@Commandshark, I'm not saying it's right, just saying it's what's happening. How do we fix it?
Heaven help that bastard that want to block me on the freeway
Bunch of fvcking retards is what these protesters are.
If somebody is going to try and block my use of the highway, I'm just f*cking flooring it.
I hope people start just flooring it, their fault for standing in front of a moving vehicle
@Cpzombie, I will.
I would just drive closer slowly, and put my .40 Cal on my dash
@gaemboi, "Here in America we only want our right to bear arms so we can protect ourselves"
@Random Movie Quote, he is demonstrating that if he gets attacked he will retaliate. It also puts the weapon in an easier spot to grab in case of a violent situation
@Random Movie Quote, it's so those assholes know that if they start damaging his car he will defend his property
@Can yew knot, Exactly what I was demonstrating. This is laughable...
@Random Movie Quote, some people consider their property to be an extension of themselves, therefore it is self defense (those assholes blocking the freeway should be shot anyway)
@Random Movie Quote, it's laughable? If your car is surrounded by 15 people and they're banging and pounding on it that's laughable? No look up the Rodney king protests and how protesters were ripping people out of their vehicles and beating them.
@RiffRaff, Because this picture clearly demonstrates a violent protest?
I'm protesting this pic, it's tearing us apart
Man, when did this app turn into StormFrontPics? Let's just get Pepe in here and call it done.
@Krieger San, Here we go. Can't disagree with a political group without being called a nazi. Try harder next time.
How are you supposed to protest governments then? Idk about you but tanks don't usually drive down my streets.
@BearDaniels, How about protesting them at places of government?
@Commandshark, exactly. I'm all for peaceful protests as long as they make sense. Last year, BLM protesters tried to protest the shooting of a black man by North Charleston police by blocking the bridge between the cities of Charleston and Mount Pleasant, which had nothing to do with the North Charleston shooting as it's a completely separate city and not a geographical link to North Charleston. If you're protesting the North Charleston police department, why don't you, oh, I don't know, protest at or near the North Charleston police department. I don't get it.
@BearDaniels, Anti-government protestors in Ukraine occupied government buildings. If you're protesting police, then there are also police buildings. How the fvck do drivers have anything to do with police shootings? All this is doing is making you like toddlers throwing a tantrum.
@Ruupasya, Smh, I thought you were down for change. Guess not, how disappointing.
@KeKesUHaulFacility , he's not a complete idiot (unlike somebody I know), how disappointing.
@Cpzombie, If not being a tap dancing lil bitch makes me an idiot, then you can call me Pinhead fvckin Larry
@Commandshark, ok but the post says you protest by standing in front of tanks! Are you saying if you don't have a tank go to a building? Why are people down voting?! The post says stand in front of tanks!
@CriTiKa1, I'm talking specifically about standing in front of tanks though because the picture says you need a tank to protest.
@CriTiKa1, seriously we are on a app called funny pics... can you not recognize a joke.
Protests are supposed to in-convince if you don't no one pays attention.
@ToatalZero, ok but inconvenience someone in government not average people trying to get to their job
@ToatalZero, just because these guys have nowhere else to be doesn't mean the people they're blocking don't. Got a problem with the police take it up with the police, but don't be a dick to random pedestrians and act like you have a right to do it because of past events
Permission to gun it , sir?
Damn everyone is salty as shjt in this comment thread. Turn off the frickn news for a day and calm the Fvck down.
I'd run their asses over
Whoever made this pic seems to have forgotten that their version of protesting the government often leads to death
Srsly m8 why u do dis
Correct me if I'm wrong but, didn't tank guy get run over?
@Rattlehead Vision, no one really knows what happened to him
@Rattlehead Vision, No, he just walked off
@Rattlehead Vision, he went "missing" shortly after it happened. Fun fact: if you get onto the China platform for google and search for this picture, you will never find it because china denies it happened
@Cjko27, I was aware of the censorship of this image
@Rattlehead Vision, oh China.
