Huskies are constantly dumped in our area. Sorry, stuck pixel, but you're part of the problem. People see cute husky memes and then want a husky without doing any research into the breed and how high maintenance they can actually be. So they spend thousands on a husky puppy from someone that might as well be a puppy mill and get a dog and think they can leave it in the back yard all day like a lab. NOPE! When they realize they can't handle the energy and work that goes into a husky, they end up dumped at shelters.

@Buffalonian, ps- my two years working in a pet store and seeing huskies typically consisted of me asking why they chose the breed and they're answer being "I saw a pic on the Internet and they're just so cute!" That's all very well and good, but the majority of the time they're coming to me because they had NO CLUE what they've gotten themselves into. I had to convince one family to leave a husky with me because it got to the point they locked her in a bathroom ALL DAY AND NIGHT because they couldn't handle her. Please, tell me why I shouldn't get upset about this. I dare you.
I see it as she dumped them, she wasnt looking for her worthless previous owners.
