Go 140 cause it wasn't covered.
@Snowfrake , impossible to go 140 with your RPMs under 2.5k, especially in a car like that. See the redline is around 6200 RPM, so this is probably a standard car producing not a lot of low-end torque, which makes it especially impossible to reach 140. Before you ask, yes, I'm very fun at parties.
@RAM Card, That's why you get it up to 7k RPM. That isn't covered either
@smeckledorfed, if the redline is at 6200 RPM then the rev limiter most likely wont let you get anywhere near 7k, even if it did, after upshifting your Revs would drop well below the "No!" zone.
@RAM Card, *sigh* I tried
@RAM Card, But what if there is no rev-limiter? The old ones talk of a time before rev-limiters were encoded in vehicles computers. Their elders even spoke of vehicles without computers. They would say "Those were simpler times."
@mas2de, by the looks of it this is around a '95, it would have a rev limiter. Even if it didn't, spending that much time above redline would easily cause the engine to blow
"No I'm Dad"-Dad
@Broly the SS Legend, I wanted to make this comment. *sigh. Congratulations.
@Broly the SS Legend, Your godfather is serious
@Broly the SS Legend, dammit that was my line
@Broly the SS Legend, hi Dad,I'm dad
Cop: do you know how fast you were going?
@Boner Forest, #bestcomments
Oh look, it's every person I've been stuck behind ever
*Gets pulled over*
Cop: Sir do you know how fast you were going?
Kid: No I honestly do not.
@mtndewman9791, somewhere between 62 and 130
Am I the only one concerned that the picture was taken going 60?
@thesicmrcastle , it wasnt, the needles are stuck behind the tape.
@Sybil Reisz, you're incredibly wrong. The needles are behind a plastic cover, that's what the notes are taped to
@Assassinator2399, well it's either that or their broken, because there's no way that the needles could be positioned at exactly the edges of both taped sections unless one or the other was true. And if the dad in question intentionally altered the car so that they don't go above that, I still count it as broken.
@Sybil Reisz, it's not like your car would never be going 60 at 2000 rpms. They likely had a friend take the picture
@Assassinator2399, that would make the angle extremely unlikely, depending on the placement of those meters in the dashboard. If this is true, then either the driver has to look to their right every time they want to check the speed, or their friend reached behind the steering wheel to take the picture. Or the driver reached over the steering wheel to take the picture, but I doubt that, because then this picture would probably be much less stable. For the same reason, I doubt the driver could've taken the picture if they had to look to the right to check the guages.
@Sybil Reisz, or its right hand drive and the passenger reached behind the wheel slightly.
@mas2de, but it would still be really hard to get a stable picture while reaching behind a steering wheel that somebody else is holding on to and turning, right?
@Sybil Reisz, fast exposure? With impossibly good flash? Physics?
@mas2de, hey, just empoying the Socratatic method. It never hurts to learn as much as you can about a problem you don't know the correct answer to, right?
@Sybil Reisz, F that! I blaze through problems relying solely on my vast reserves of blindness and stupidity! And when I come up with an answer not generally accepted as correct, I am left no option but to ascertain that the world was wrong!
Not going over 2000 rpm would be dangerous in some situations
@Azuro, exactly what I was thinking. No, go ahead and merge with traffic at a much slower speed. Trust me, nobody will have to slam on their brakes.
@big freedom, "I cut 'cross 7 lane traffic now. Good luck erybody else!"
When I still had my permit, I was going 80 on the freeway... Going that slow is dangerous!
Do you know why I pulled you over? Yes, officer. I was going no miles per hour.
But dad if you ain't first your last!
@EdgierThe joker, nooo a typo I have failed you Ricky Bobby!
If that was my focus or bmw you would only be able to do about 50 in fifth gear if that's the limit.
Be save, or be Legend
I love how they apparently took this picture while going 60
As long as you go over 130mph at over 7k rpm you should be fine
Well, I agree with him. If you are taking pictures while driving at 65 mph, you shouldn't be driving
What's with all the reposts lately?
Where I live the speed limit on the highway is 70mph
Darn parental controls! I wonder if I can guess the password?
The tape is covering the needle though, so it's stuck above 60....
"Dad, are you serious?"
No, your dad is not Serious Black.
You always shouldn't be taking pictured while driving...-dad
That wouldnt stop me.. i mean the dad puts them labels on but hes not in the car so how would he know weather his kid is speeding or not
@Tis but a scratch, *whether
@notMrWonka, thanks mr dictionary lol
@Tis but a scratch, *miss.
@notMrWonka, oh i do apolagise for assuming your gender
@Tis but a scratch, lol it's okay, it happens a lot on here.
It's very dangerous to be taking a picture of your dash while going 65.
@The Collector, it's ok, I wasn't driving
