Sorry for this ahead of time, but I kind of want to come to this community for comfort right now... Y'all probably don't remember, but I just had my first child three weeks ago. And this morning, I found out my husband had been saying terrible things about me to lots of people behind my back and when I approached him about it, he decided he wanted a divorce instead of apologizing or telling me why. So, it's been rough and I just wanted to vent a bit... Sorry for the long, not funny comment...
@DrunkenSailorGirl, nah you're good. And hey I think I speak for all of us when I say we're here for ya. *hugs*
@DrunkenSailorGirl, it's definitely gonna be a tough road ahead, but in the end it will all be worth it. You're better off, you deserve someone who treats you like a queen, especially when you've given them the most amazing gift.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, enjoy half of his shït and child support girl. Fück him
@DrunkenSailorGirl, skies may be grey, but you need to realize that it's just clouds and clouds pass. Life is suffering, but without it we really wouldn't know our self worth. You're gonna be ok I believe in you
@DrunkenSailorGirl, you're actually not alone in this. I'm kinda in the same boat (sailor pun). But my fiance decided to tell me she resents me after having our daughter. In April and we split in August/September. It's hard. But a bit of time makes it easier, not better, but easier. Plus you have your kid to keep you happy.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, it's a shame he responded that way instead of owning up to it, apologizing, and allowing you two to move on from it. Screw him, you'll be happier in the long run not being with him and greater from this point forward in how you tried to handle the situation.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, He seems more like a cowardly fvck boy than a husband. Take your baby and everything you can from him; judging from his reaction he doesn't deserve a wife and child. You'll find you a man that will treat you AND your baby as you so lovingly deserve. My "mother" never wanted me or my siblings. But my step mom is everything my "mother" never was. It'll be some time but the right man will come along.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, if he's not willing to act like a basic adult then he's not ready to be a father. It might seem hard now, but I think your kid might be better for having one amazing parent
@DrunkenSailorGirl, I'm the child of a family that had the same beginnings as that, scarily similar in fact. I know first hand how bad things got from there. I think (good old 16 year old knowledge) that you should deal with this immediately, don't let it run over. Find someone new who will support you. There are different backgrounds to our stories but I know for sure that one major problem for my mum was loneliness, don't let it get to you. Remember there will always be a person there who cares for you and loves you, even if that is your child. We're all here for you.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, I wanted to xoxoxo, but that means hugs and kisses. But xxx isnt much better. That was a cheap joke to nake you smile. In any case, ive been there, and i know it sucks bad. Stay strong, stick with family and you'll get through it. If things get really bad, just flip through the forums here, none of us know each other, but these knuckle heads always help pick me up.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, I don't know the entire story. I just know from my experience. When my ex was pregnant with our daughter. I did everything I could – he told me he treated her better than anyone had before. But it was still not enough. I put up with a lot of stuff during your pregnancy. She was really mean at times during the pregnancy. But I put up with because I figured it was just the pregnancy talking. After the pregnancy she resented me from time to time and told me so. What you need to know also is that my ex is bipolar so it was probably a lot worse with the Moodswings. Afterwards she had a bit of postpartum I think. Despite everything she ended up breaking things off.
Like I said I don't know your situation but a lot of people in mine would not have put up with what I put up with.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, Maybe your husband is an asshole. It is quite possible. Or maybe there is some truth to the things he said behind your back. Or maybe it's all lies and people are trying to stire up trouble by saying he said things he did not. (like my ex'es mom convinced my ex I was trying to manipulate her) which was not true unless you consider agreeing to do whatever my ex wanted manipulation, last time I checked it was not) Hell even my friends asked me how I could put up with the things my ex did when we all hung out. I always told them yeah she has her moments but she has a good side to. I was naïve back then. The point is if he didn't really say it and people are stirring up trouble because what proof do you have. And you keep hounding him about things he didn't say that might be why he wants to call it off too. Like I said I don't know all the details. I just know from my experience. I know some people get reall mean during a pregnancy. But all wounds heal in time.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, be sure that everything is for the right reasons. Not because you want to be right about everything. Sometimes you just have to turn the other cheek. And sometimes you have to confront a problem. It just depends on what it is and how bad it is. And sometimes you have to cut your losses. You can't control other people and you can't change other people. Just be happy.
@Seohn, He had started lying to me about spending money on computer parts and LoL. That was a month before we had the baby. He's a streamer so, he thought I had gone to bed but I was watching his stream and someone said it's crazy that his wife let's him use the whole house for his stream and he made a crazy face and said that I don't do anything for the house and I'm too lazy to do anything and I'm worthless as a wife. And you can literally see me cleaning in the background of the beginning of his stream, when I spent the first two hours cleaning up his messes. This is a man that showers once a week, has never washed a load of laundry since we've been married, and hasn't cleaned the floors here in over a year. He said I'm a slob and he's cleaner than me. Seeing him say, on a live stream to a bunch of random people, that I'm worthless as a wife, didn't exactly feel good. Especially since I'm recovering from a C Section and I'm not even allowed to do half the stuff I do.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, so when he's in the middle of the stream embarrass him by reminding him that a lot of the things he complained about usually get done but the doctor said you can't do anything after being cut open for a C-section. But you need to say it without sounding like a crazy lady. That you don't appreciate someone bad mouthing you that doesn't take a shower but once a week. You need to make sure other people are watching extreme when it happens. And then leave the room because they'll rip into him after that.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, be calm about it. Don't argue. Just lay the facts out and let them stand. As far as computer parts. If a part failed I can understand wanting to replace it. As far as lying about spending money on a part I'm not sure what your financial situation's are. Or how limited he is in being able to spend money as to having to lie to buy a part. Why is he afraid to give a straight answer about it.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, Something you need to also remember is just because you have kids doesn't mean you're suddenly adult. This is typically a problem in a lot of relationships that end after a child. A lot of times people think I have kids now I need to grow up. Or one person in the relationship feels their partner needs to grow up. You don't have to change your lifestyle much because of a kid. Just enough to take care of the kid.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, I prefer not to make decisions based on one persons side of a story. If I can't see the full picture I can't make an unbiased clear judgment. However I don't mind dispensing advice based on things that I've learned and experienced in my life. I will say that it is very difficult at times having to split. From my own experience my ex waking up on Saturday morning a few months after our daughter was born and telling me she didn't love me anymore was devastating. I wanted to be a family. It was why I went back to school to get a degree.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, There were many reasons things ended between us. But I didn't learn about her mom convincing my ex that I was trying to manipulate her until I overheard her say it one day. I was pretty pissed off about it but just let it go. But it wasn't until later I learned from reading articles that sometimes family, especially parents can wreck relationships if they don't like their kids choice in partners. Sad but true. My ex had a problem with spending money. We were pinching pennies as it was and she said we didn't spend enough time together even though I was working and going to school full-time. But whenever I would suggest something that didn't cost any money such as I walk in the park or sitting down to watch a movie at the house. She would say no. But if it involves buying stuff she was always happy about it. Just one of a few things that was an issue in my relationship.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, regardless of what happens my best advice is this. Do not use the child against the other parent. It's wrong to do that. Children should never be manipulated as a tool to use against them. I never talk about my ex around my daughter. Well it's been long enough now I never talk about my ex much anyway. But if you love your kids says anything bad about the other parent can cause them to resent you as they get older and learn the truth of everything on their own. They just need to be loved and given a happy healthy relationship from both parents.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, I hope the best for you and things work out. It's sad to hear of relationships ending but sometimes it can't be helped. Believe I tried to fix things between my ex and I. No matter what you do it can't be fixed at times. And sometimes it can.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, sorry to hear about your situation, but bright side is now you know that he is an immature boy instead of a man worthy of your affection.
@DrunkenSailorGirl, you got your kid now, that's true love that will never end
@DrunkenSailorGirl, (v.v) *hugs*
@DrunkenSailorGirl, I'm so sorry this has happened to you. Are you going to be financially okay on your own or what can the community do for you?
@Pizzazz, @DrunkenSailorGirl, there ARE resources for people in your situation and I can definitely point you in the right direction. But I will tell you, if you haven't already gone to college... Do it NOW. Don't wait like I did. And if you're going to divorce and have to rely on government assistance, do it. Get on FAFSA and get any money you can do go back to school. This is exactly what government assistance is for.
When you're a single parent with an infant and you show you're doing everything to better yourselves, people will open doors.
Most importantly: It's going to be okay. You don't need a man-child in your life. Trust me, I deal with it daily.
@Pizzazz, It helps wonders that I'm in the military. I will be going to college once I get done with my second specialty schooling next year. Thank you for your support on this though.
I was thinking Hillary and questions about her emails.
@smartstu, that's so weird people are hung up on those. The Republicans got in trouble during the bush era for having a private server at the rnc headquarters and they deleted 22 million emails. 22 million. And yet when Hilary does 30,000 it's unforgivable.
I mean they're both in the wrong but it's an unfair standard. They did much much worse than she did
@Hoopscallion, have you not read wikileaks, emails have been released where Hillary said she purposely deleted emails. That is a criminal offence, if it had come out during her trials she would have been convicted.
@Hoopscallion, also they didn't do much worse, they didn't use a private email server, they lost 22 million emails which were not classified information like Hillary.
@Hoopscallion, oh yeah she is also responsible for voter fraud as well, real criminal stuff.
@TotalBull, yes, yes they did use a private email server owned by the rnc. They too were subpoenad and they too failed to turn over some emails.
@TotalBull, irrelevant. We are not talking about voter fraud, i am not defending Hilary Clinton or saying you should vote for her. I am simply saying there is a double standard here where the Republicans who are prosecuting her have done the same thing but on a much larger scale
@Hoopscallion, Dana Perino talked about the difference of the 2, they had an email for official government use and one for the RNC, which is were emails were deleted, compared to Hillary who didn't use any government official email and sent classified information across it, that is not the same as the RNC emails because there wasn't classified information being passed through it. To make it worse she constantly lied about the emails, first saying she didn't delete any, then saying there was nothing classified, then saying she couldn't tell the difference, and now with the wikileaks we know she deleted them in purpose to hide evidence. I think the reason this is so important and should raise eyebrows is because it shows how dirty and how much of a liar she is.
@TotalBull, they are both in the wrong as i stated. The emails were subpoenad in both cases and deleted in both cases. As for wikileaks i'm still hesitant to trust a lot of it, some of it looks tampered with. But everyone knows Hilary is a liar, this isn't news. She's just not as big a liar as her opposition is or makes her out to be
@Hoopscallion, yeah she is, she's been lying since she's got into the political sphere, she lied about being sick which has no reason to be lied over. She such a liar she's lying about things that won't even affect her campaign. It's ridiculous.
@TotalBull, look her up on politicofact. Or any site that ranks people according to lies. She's one of the lower ones. Again no one is disagreeing that she lies. She just does so slightly less than the average politician. And you don't even wanna compare her to her opponent, yikes that guy will contradict himself in the same sentence. I know you feel likes she's a giant liar, and she is a liar, but statistically provably she lies about the same as the other politicians, maybe a little less. I loved Bernie Sanders and voted for him in the primary. She had less lies at that time than him.
@TotalBull, Quick thing, WikiLeaks has been proven to doctor leaks to change the message. They released an email that was already public and about 15 words were changed to include negative wording about the American populace. WikiLeaks has more evidence of corruption and fraud then the election.
@Hoopscallion, please don't use political as a source as it's biased. Also what you just said bs all the way, she doesn't just lie about as much as a regular politician, she lies way more than Trim and I hate the guy. I see were your coming from because clearly you have a left biased and are trying to save face for her, but lying about Benghazi or the email scandal or about being sick. If all theses things were not damning why would she even have to lie about it
@UmActually, wikileaks also released info on the DNC scandal with Bernie Sanders which turned out to be completely true, along with the email scandal. I am not going to lie and say they don't mess with info, but they have a pretty good tract record against corrupt politicians.
@TotalBull, I assume trim is trump and it is laughable to say she lies more. I mean come on dude. Really think about what you said. Also i have said more than once that i do not support Hilary or am trying to convince anyone to vote for her. Watch either of the debates so far and fact check them yourself. I believe it was something like he lied five times as much as her. They both lie but he does infinitely more so. I mean at the last debate he said he paid taxes and then about two sentences later admitted he didn't. I mean the whole tax thing is a lie, the head of the IRS got so many questions about it that he made a statement that said there is absolutely no possible way releasing them could affect the audit in any way. Period. There is no legal reason not to. Come on dude he's currently saying he's gonna win but he's gonna lose because it's rigged and i think that's him in a nutshell. Takes both sides and hopes you ignore one of them
@TotalBull, Am I the only one who thinks it's deliciously ironic that you use WikiLeaks as a source, but politifact is too biased?
@Hoopscallion, I did fact check it for the love of God I'm not talking about 1 debate I'm talking about her entire career as a politician which is filled with lies from since her husband was in office to when she was secretary of state. Also I said you have a biased because of the natural left leaning. You don't have to support her to do so, Bernie Sanders supporter was enough to tell. And I know for a fact that Bernie Sanders supporters hate Hillary si I'm not saying your are her fan.
@UmActually, yeah, considering 1 uses email evidence that can be disproven if showed to be false while the other is a website that tells you who's lying and was proven to be biased to the left. It's like comparing fox news to Huffington post
@TotalBull, when was it proven? The Stephen Colbert quote comes to mind "Reality has a liberal bias"
@Hoopscallion, http://www.politifactbias.com/p/about-politifact-bias.html?m=1 there is an entire website dedicated to calling out there bias. Also reality doesn't have a liberal bias, unless you are a classical liberal, your ideas are cancer to the US.
@TotalBull, it's so weird to call me out for bias. You're biased. Everyone is biased. Its a useless argument. I don't doubt politifact has made mistakes but this blog you linked to is not a good example of it. One of the first ones says, and direct quote "politifact has confused breaking a promise with not keeping a promise."
I'm sorry what? :p
The few from the front page are all like that. It's a bad source dude
@Hoopscallion, I'm not biased because I don't have a dog in this fight.
@TotalBull, do you support or oppose gay marriage? If so you're biased towards candidates that align with that. Do you want to start a nuclear war? If yes or no you are biased about nuclear war. There is not a single human being who isn't biased. If you want to keep living you are biased against people who want to kill you. Its an insane thing to say you aren't biased. Even in this debate you have defended trump using false statements about the amount of times he lies. You have made statements also based on emotion rather than pure logic. You're biased dude, we all are
@Hoopscallion, I'm not biased against because I don't have a dog in the fight. Do you know what that means? If this debate was about nuclear war I would have a dog in the fight, if it was about gay marriage I would have a dog in the fight. But no not about Trump or Hillary, I absolutely despise the both of them and I hope that Trump loses, but please tell me what false comments and emotional comments I used.
@TotalBull, well trump and Hilary are opposed on both nuclear war and gay marriage. Trump has repeatedly said he'd have no problems using nukes and thinks we should more. His position on gay marriage has been both for and against just in this campaign so that's harder to say. So yes this debate is about those things if it's about trump v. Hillary.
You lied and said trump lies less than she does when its proven by multiple sources he does not. You lied and said the bush emails were not on a private server when they were. I think emotion might fall under your dismissal of politifact and not wikileaks even though wikileaks has been shown to doctor emails and there is no way verify if any of it is true. That's not logic based so it has to come from somewhere. You also claimed to know about me because i voted for Sanders, again not a logical assumption to make. You said liberals are cancer which is like the most classic example of bias in the whole thread :p
@Hoopscallion, well she also got people killed and now for some reason this idiotic country seems hell bent on making her president soooo....
@Hoopscallion, The RNC does not have access to the same type of classified information as the Secretary of State- seriously? You want to talk about double standard, people have been dishonorably discharged for self reporting a mistake where they sent one email- but nothing happened to her? Lady justice is not so blind when the Clinton's are on the stand.
@Chintastic, Yeah Clinton and condeliza rice. Oh and the head of the EPA had a private email server. Oh and the head of the department of veteran affairs as well. Oh and general Colin Powell also sent classified emails through a personal email address, just like Rice and Clinton too. Oh and patreus and all his scandals using his government email to sext his mistresses.
It is unfair that she didn't get charged? Yes. But she is not the only one to do it. Patreus and powell did not have to step down nor did they. It was so wide spread a practice in 2014 they changed and clarified the rules to make it even more clear you aren't supposed to be doing this everybody.
So it's wrong yes. But tons and tons of people did it. It doesn't make it ok, but again it doesn't make her anything more than the average politician in terms of corruption on emails.
More like Hillary and the law
Hillary and the truth
You misspelled Hillary
Me and my impending adulthood.
Hmmm. Seems like Trump stupidly will answer just about any moronic question thrown his way.
I was thinking 95% of politicians on a campagin trail.
Well I'll tell ya I'm gonna make Mexico pay, they're gonna pay for a wall that's keeping their people out of this beautiful country. You know why?
Mr. Trump the question was what is your plan for handling climate climate change
@UncleBlazer45, this is painfully true
18 people get angry when hearing truths. And 340 something can actually have a chuckle.
@mas2de, whoops. Remembered that number wrong. It's 108 at the moment.
@mas2de, well as someone who reads alot of politics, it gets annoying really fast how much anti republican and pro democrat stuff there is vs the opposite. I am not apart of either party, but the imbalance is overwhelming and gross, i think it is an extreme internal problem in the country. When i see endless jokes, articles and support only for one side, It stops being funny and starts getting scary. Not that the joke itself isn't funny, but this is the culture that brings out those opinions.
@Dephenistrator, while you are correct, the media is going after the cash crop of low hanging fruit that is Donald Trump's presidential candidacy. There is definitely still anti-Clinton media, it's just being dwarfed by the self inspired Trump media. He does the critics job for them and stuffs his own foot in his mouth.
@mas2de, (sorry, this turned into a rant, i mean no offense at any level) i agree, trump is not a politician and is just saying how he feels on tv. A suicide tactic of politics. But this has gone on long before these two. I see people quoting comedy central and thinking they know politics because of that material. It was the sole reason, even close friends of mine, have decided their vote on. I can't help feeling overwhelmed by a culture of people influenced by strong mass media bias. Have you ever looked up republican based news? I did this year, and yes, they have their own bias. And alot of stories that have checked out as true but have been black listed like in the days of mccarthyism. I even feel like if i look up the wrong peoples arguments for themselves in public i could be yelled at like my brother was. Open-mindedness doesn't have a set of things you vote for, it is defined as considering the possibility of both sides without bias. Both parties are entirely closed minded.
You know it, I know it, everybody knows it. My dick is yuuuge. It's yuger than China, and I have a very good working relationship with China. The wall will be almost as yuge as my dick but not quite
Let's face it. It's a disaster.
Who's hyped for this election!? No one? Ya, me neither.
@Official Ice Bear, I'm hyped to see it over.
