I guess it's a good thing she wasn't a Swallow...
@brendan1998, it's 3:30 in the morning, I read your comment, swiped to the next picture and read it... then I got your comment. I came back to like it.

@Ethan Bradberry, not trying to be annoyingly feminist but anyone remember that post where a guinea pig broke into a female enclosure and banged them all and everyone commented 'what a hero' and stuff? Yeah, so this robin literally helped save her species and she gets called a slut- I'm not saying you're all sexist pigs, just pointing it out. Sorry for the long comment
@mad octopus , i think that's kind of the joke
@mad octopus , the joke
@mad octopus , I agree with you but it's kind of a joke making fun of that double standard
@Aegislash, I understand that it's just when that's the first thing you think of is it?
Im sorry, please don't down vote me
So all these robins will be inbred moving forward? Got it.
@PippyPie, yeah they're pretty much extinct
Black robins matter
Something tells me the fickle genetics fairy isn't gonna be too happy about this.
One fertile female is not enough to sustain a breeding population. The species will still go extinct, now it's just going to take an extra two or three generations.
This is not a victory.
@I Are Lebo, sorry to be a buzzkill
@I Are Lebo, if her children are fertile they will be inbred but will most likely survive, cheetahs (I think it's cheetahs but could be some other big cat) are almost all descended from one breeding pair but they are still surviving. It would really help their chances if they were able to breed with other types of robins though, sure they won't be pure bred black robins but their genes will still survive
I hang out with guys cuz there's less drama.
What about her mother...
And this is funny.......how?
So what you're saying is we need to go hunt them?
Is better not be on no foodstamps/walfare with all em kids and grand kids
A black robin named old blue...
And still not as easy as your mum.
How is this funny?
The Chatham island was were I wanted to live in my island away from people stage!
Khaleesi mother of robins!
She carried the team
That's actually really bad. There's little genetic variation, allowing recessive alleles to create issues. Hopefully, scientists and conservationists will be able to introduce a different type of robin that is able to reproduce with black robins and keep their species going.
She got dem birthing hips.
So now we have inbred species of birds lol great keep an eye out cause there very special
Keeping it in the family worked for the Royal Families for centuries
