Now, if people would actually use this...
@Briellephant, My childhood would've been so much better.
@Briellephant, my wife is getting her masters ib psychology, this is how we do it. We also yell when they do stupid cr@p and spank.
@Briellephant, hmm yeah all rules go out the window when you have a special needs kid. Yep. Game changer.
@Briellephant, stuff that works for one kid doesn't necessarily work for another kid. I had to spank the crap out of my hard headed son regularly but my daughter would immediately start crying as soon as you raised your voice. Two completely different personalities and reactions to things.
And a spanking to teach your kid respect works too #unpopularopinions
@TheDoctorsTARDIS, I don't agree with the statement, but I'm not against spanking. I have a wild son and sometimes it takes that to get the point across.
@MrPuffNStuff, Then why don't you agree with the statement?
@Cat Lauer , it's not to "teach respect", it's an act of discipline. People that spank to teach respect end up teaching their child to fear them. I intend for my son to actually respect me.
@TheDoctorsTARDIS, agreement that minor spankings are helpful, disagreement for respect.
@TheDoctorsTARDIS, spanking is only effective for parent centered goals i.e gaining immediate compliance. Children only behave appropriately when the parent is in sight. Child centered goals result in out of sight compliance meaning they will behave appropriately when parents are not in sight. Spanking is not an effective learning tool.
L.R. Frost has obviously never had his kid ask for pistachio ice cream and then cry saying he doesn't like it.
@Pizzatime, yup, or cry when they can't find the one spoon they want, which my 4 yearold son just did.
@Pizzatime, every time I've had a kid cry and i used logic on them it worked, and if they continued to cry I called them illogical. I don't care if it gives them PTSD for using logic. We could use morr impulsive logic users in the world. Eventually the kid will realize he picked it and if he didn't want it he shouldn't have picked it.
@whats a joke, we use logic in nearly every argument with them, I keep it as simple as possible but it work's so well. Very rarley now day's do they ever really get bad which then requires more logic. Like explain what they did wrong and why the punishment is being dispensed. They usualy accept the punishment without too much issue. We've used logic with them since they were two and I'm glad we do.
Speak softly, and carry a big ol ass whoopin stick
@USMC83, my parents made an "Ass Kisser" for each of us kids. It had our name on it. He'd send us out to go get it from the garage. About the size of a paint stir stick, just thicker. It worked wonders.
@IWillKickYourAce, and my guess is that you turned out halfway decent, am I right?
@USMC83, I would say so!
Punch em in the fookin 'ead
Or just not have kids.
Uuuuuh my mom just beat my a$$
HAHAHAHA THIS IS SO FUNNY. IT TOTALLY BELONGS IN AN APP CALLED FUNNY PICS. HAHA.
@I smell of smores, I realized that this comment might get a lot of hate. But I for one am getting tired of pictures that aren't funny getting uploaded. If you guys disagree then I will suck it up but I get on here to laugh, not to get parenting advice.
@I smell of smores, I think you are new here. So let me explain you something. I've been here since 2013 and there's one thing that I learned. Some pics might be unfunny but most of the pics are great. And if you find all the pics here unfunny just look at the comments and they'll be funnier to look. And if you don't like the comments too just uninstall this app.
@I smell of smores, Well, funny or not I actually kinda needed this. My parents do all the Don'ts, and i can't exactly look things up because they monitor every bit of my phone. So this is the only way I would have had access to it
@ReallyFrenchBaguette, and they might be repost too but nothing is perfect.
@I smell of smores, I agree, though sometimes the comments make it worthwhile
@ReallyFrenchBaguette, I have had this app for a long time too. And it used the percentage of non funny pics has hugely increased. Yes the comment can make up for it sometimes but a lot of top comments aren't original anymore. And the app isn't called funny comments. Feel free to disagree with me though. I respect your opinion but I stand by what I said.
@Basil Fawlty, true but the app isn't called funny comments. Plus if the pic is funny then it's double the funny.
@XxFloweyxX, then I'm glad you got to see it and I'm genuinely sorry if your parents treat you poorly. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
@I smell of smores, oops. That "it used" isn't supposed to be there.
@I smell of smores, actually, a lot of great commenters think the comments aren't funny anymore. But I still think that a lot of comments are still a bit funny. When you use this app for a long time, at one point, you'll find everything a bit less funnier because you have already saw it or because it's unoriginal or it's a repost. But like I said, there's always be something that'll be funny in this app. I agree with your opinion and I respect it too but i stand with what I said too.
@I smell of smores, we'll I'm saying the comments make the pics more bearable. And let's be honest half the greatness of this app is the community and not always the pics
@ReallyFrenchBaguette, maybe you are right about things being less funny because I have been here too long. But we need to stop throwing all of our upvotes at popular comments. If I see another top comment of "I'm gonna stick my d!ck in it" or "legend has it he is still doing whatever today." I may cut someone. There are other funny comments that don't get to shine because they are original. Or maybe there are so many new people they don't realized that the last 500 top comments are 80% copied.
@XxFloweyxX, you should try being a good kid rather than worry if your parents are doing it right or not.
@I smell of smores, You know i've uninstalled this app for 6 month because comments where unoriginal . And when i've re-installed this app I've founded everything original but one day I might uninstall this app again and install it again and everything will look original even if it's not. It's an infinite and vicious loop (I don't know how it's called in English, because in French we say "un cercle vicieux"). If you want to have the feeling that everything is original, take a 4-5 months break with this app.
@XxFloweyxX, you haven't replied yet and I'm going to bed so I'm just going to say that there are computer labs at schools and libraries if you want to look up things to help and there are also counselors. I mean this in a sincere but serious way. There are a lot of ways to get help if you really need it that are 100 times better than a funny pic app and the comments of strangers.
@I smell of smores, Sorry. I had home to bed myself. I'm 16, almost 17.
@big freedom, I am a good kid. I do my chores, i treat my friends well. I'm just extremely forgetful and easily distracted sometimes. I wouldn't say I have ADHD or anything, because I haven't been to a doctor for a checkup for as long as I can remember
I love that humor sometimes needs to be benched for a great life lesson lost in the abyss of a neglected self-reflect. How can we appreciate the sun if there is no rain?
And yet people still hit their children.
@tumblretard, not enough do
@Michael Fassbender, admittedly, it doesn't work as well as people think it does. Every kid in my family has to be put in time out because we found it amusing when our parents spanked us. And they had morals so even on places no one would see they didn't do it hard enough to leave marks. We all just laughed at them. A lot of my friends were like that too. Besides, using physical pain to teach makes you kind of a terrible person. Even if it seems like it's for the best, there are other more effective ways. Taking away toys and electronics, for example.
@Papyru, you didn't get hit enough
@Michael Fassbender, trust me, I got hit plenty. It just didn't work.
@Papyru, obviously not enough then
@Michael Fassbender, I just realized you're probably trolling.
@Papyru, this is why you should be hit
This guy doesn't know what's it's like to bang your wife with a crying kid in the next room who you've told to be quiet for the last two hours
Sometimes when I forgat how to spell I word I beat my son out of anger
Also! Physical discipline when used correctly is not abuse.( as long as marks are not left or any damage) There were few times when I deserved it and fewer when I got it. And I ONLY got it when I absolutely needed it and nothing else was working. And I will tell you after the first time I dreaded even the inkling of it because of it being used correctly, and if and when it was used out of those handful of times I wisened up dam quick
I was spanked as a child. I now suffer from a mental illness called respect for others. Also, maybe I've only been around stupid kids, but kids generally don't respond to logic, they simply don't have much. If you tell them not to yell because (insert logic here,) they won't care. If you teach them not to yell because there will be actual physical consequences, they won't yell.
None of these tips are tips my dad EVER used

Showed this to my mom mid argument, she did not like it.
Though I do agree with this, I was looking for a punch line somewhere..
