I feel like there is more. Is this another badly cropped photo? C'mon stuckpixel!
@IronBelly, nope, that's literally all there is to it.
@IronBelly, essentially ink cartridges are made to trigger that they run out before they actually do, that way, you pay for all of the ink (most expensive liquid) and why places want you to recycle your cartridges. Kind of a manipulative thing when you think about it.
@IronBelly, that's actually it pretty much. Just pop it back in and sometimes it'll give you a few more prints
@IronBelly, I thought it would make the ink pour out but I trust you funny pics
@Jake The Legend, i thought the same thing. I've heard this rumor before. I'm going to try it, over the sink, and have my wife do it, while on camera, for...science.
@Brickmasta8, I've heard it's true that you can get a few more prints. I was also told by HP emploees that cartridges will stop where they can guarantee that the ink coming out meets the quality standards promised.
@IronBelly, there have been a lot longer pictures than this. It isn't
@CynicalSir, did you crop your comment ironically?
@Spilled Milk, it was an accident, but right as I went to correct it, I almost didnt.
@Brickmasta8, Funnily enough, the ink isn't the expensive part: The cartridges are highly complex pieces of technology and they're where the price comes from.
Look up on ebay refillable cartridges. Its likes a cis then printer model or something. Its basically some tubing that connects to the ink cartridges that have a resivior outside the printer that you can refill with pure ink. The trick in the picture above does not always work and can be dangerous to printer. Printers use ink to keep needles cool. If they attempt to shoot too many blanks they will overheat and get damaged. This happened to one of my old printers and that color never worked again.
@Implicit88, Many cartridges nowadays (such as the one shown) have the jets in the cartridge, so the ink on top of the jets keeps them cool, and if any part quits, you get all new ones with a new cartridge anyway.
The reset bottom? Sounds familiar
@SpungBab, Bad morning? :)
@SCBeauty1983, Nope. Good morning. ;)
Doesn't work anymore
Fxck it get a laser printer
Buy a new printer that comes with the ink, sell the other on Craigslist or something, trust me, you'll save a lot of money if you do this
The spelling makes it unbelievable
