Looks like he's about to shoot jimmy carr 9 times
@Whole Inn Juan, I absolutely loathe Jimmy Carr. I hope he did shoot him 9 times.
@Whole Inn Juan, ya. "Stop being so rational!" BAM BAM BAM x3
Also if 50 hadnt been shot he probably wouldnt be famous.
I'd like to thank god for pulling those bullets out of me and sewing my guys back together. No one else.
It is just like how God doesnt stop murders terrorists and cancer
@NSA is watching you, hey cut god some slack, it's not a miracle worker.
@NSA is watching you, what fun would that be?
@NSA is watching you, free will works both ways. If you want to blame someone blame the people who are actually doing that, not the deity of a religion.
There's a lot of arguing but I can give this point of perspective for people that are asking why god gave us free will when he could just "make everyone good." Think of this. A mechanical puppy that's programmed to never to do anything bad and basically a robot that you know the ins and outs of. It has patterns and routines everyday. On the other hand, a real puppy, one that you know may cause trouble and stuff. But it interacts and it's its OWN being. Which one would you think is more satisfying to have in you house?
I know I just commented on the other picture, but that higher power gave us free will, so He doesn't choose what we, as humans, do.
@ManWithHair, the Black Death
@Cpzombie, you still arent understanding
@Osama bin Dead, that the Christian sky patriarch is a sociopath? Seems pretty clear to me
@Cpzombie, how is God a sociopath? Because people suffer? There was no suffering in the world before Adam and Eve sinned. Once they did, suffering and death filled the world. Doesnt mean God isnt here, or that He is a sociopath. Once sin filled the world, Satan owned it.?God gave us free will, the freedom to chose our own actions. If you complain and hate God just because He doesnt cure everyone's illness, suffering or stops the next bad thing from happening, its your hangup. Its absolutely 100% your right to believe what you want, just as it is mine, and I respect your beliefs. I dont want this argument flying off the rails with insults, if you can agree with me on that
@Osama bin Dead, I agree friendly discussion here but, why give us freewill then punish us if we dont live the way it wants us to live? Like "sure believe what you want, but your burning if you dont believe the way I want you to."
@T9x, well God isnt punishing us for not living the way He wants us to. When God created the world, He never intended there to be suffering or sorrow, He only intended there to be good and prosperity. He still intends that. But sin separated us from God's righteousness and goodness. That's why He came down in the flesh (Jesus) to pay for all our sins with His death. God's intentions are only good, sometimes its difficult to see and understand that living in a world where there is so much bad, but His meanings lie deeper than what we can understand. Also, man doesnt burn in hell for eternity. Hell was never intended for man, and man wont burn in hell for eternity. Hell is metaphorical for "separation from God", and to be truly separated from God is die, but not in the physical, but the spiritual. God intends for you to not suffer at all and to be with for eternity, but tribulation and trial sometimes happen. The path is never easy. I hope that helped and thanks for keeping it friendly
@Osama bin Dead, right. Perfectly fair for everyone for all eternity be punished for something a made up couple did centuries ago. Your god's a dick dude
@Dexios S Divine, you are entitled to your opinion, but I disagree on your viewpoint of God
@Osama bin Dead, that's not an opinion. He punished humanity forever for something two dumbasses did. How that can be interpreted as a "good" god I'll never understand.
@Dexios S Divine, did you not read my comments earlier? God isnt punishing us, we are living in a world full of sin and wickedness where suffering is an everyday occurrence. He gave us the freedom to chose our actions and what we do with our lives. I dont understand why people just start hating God because He doesnt get every person out of trouble, or cure everyones illness. That will all happen when Christ returns. And yes, what you said was an opinion, and its your right to believe what you want. I dont know how many more times Im going to have to repeat what Ive already said
@Osama bin Dead, so you put a toy and a gun next to a ignorant child and let it choose which to play with? That's basically what your god did. Plus he lets Satan exist, the thing that fücks with his "best" creation. How lucifer has any real power is beyond me as well. he's not a god yet he can come to our world and push his influence and be just as omnipotent as god in some aspects? I'd be okay with a god existing but not this fairytale all loving dad who does no wrong, just contradictions out the ass with that story.
@Dexios S Divine, Without knowing evil (Satan) we cannot truly know good. This life is meant to be a test, to see if we can have free will and also do what is right. If life was easy and without hardships/trials, then why bother at all? And as far as being punished for Adam and Eve's sin, my church has a saying: Man shall be pubished for his own sin, and not for Adam's transgression.
@TheKen42, yeah but everything was made by god, god made lucifer. Was evil a thing before he went rouge? Why can lucifer do what he can do when he's not a god? Why does god let him exist when he's torturing humans? A good god makes no sense to me when lucifer exists in the bible. An indifferent god makes much more sense with every religion with a devil than a good never punishing one.
@Osama bin Dead, so if I'm to understand God has absolute power and yer he still allows children to be born with congenital syphilis, aids and zeka, and is still somehow good? Forgive me but unless you side with the westborough Baptist church and say it is good because God wills it I don't see how he can be good.
@Dexios S Divine, Because before he fell Lucifer also had free will, and his fall from grace was the result of his defiance to God's plan. God didn't create the devil, but allowed him to follow that path on his own. He allows Satan to tempt us because this life is meant to be a test, to see if we can use our own free will to do the right things. If there was no wrong option, then there would be no point to take the test, similar to taking a multiple choice test, but the answers are all the same.
@TheKen42, yeah I'd rather not believe in a dad who lets a creepy tempting asshole stay near me my entire life. It makes no sense to me dude. He made humans so they could be tested by him? If your son was murderer and you knew you'd just let him keep killing because "it's his choice"? He made the devil because he created everything, the lucifer got greedy, did lucifer create that emotion or did god? You can't say god is the creator and not give it credit for everything that was created.
@T9x, I personally don't believe that God punishes you or that the devil or he'll exists. He loves us the way we are and let's us live the way we want. I don't know either why certain things aren't fixed by Him, but I'm sure there is a reason. But like I said, that's just my belief, and no one really knows for sure.
@Dexios S Divine, "If god is all powerful, he can not be all good"
@HentaiFan, yeah, my point right here
@Dexios S Divine, God is all powerful and all good though. He allows evil to exist in this world to challenge and test our faith to make sure it holds up and is true. It would be very easy for a person to only trust in God when things are going his way, such as getting that dream job, dream house, marrying that dream girl, etc. But a person with true faith trusts God even when things aren't always going right. Even through the trials of life, getting sick with cancer, losing loved ones, etc. So all the wrong in the world is just apart of this fallen earth. And God allows it to test us make our faith in him stronger.
@L3G3ND DA1RY, I'm sure if your dad put your through "test" you sure as hell wouldn't love him. How any of that being okay for something grandeur to do I'll never understand
@Dexios S Divine, just because God is often called our "Heavenly Father" doesn't mean you can make a direct comparison with our physical father. Our physical father cares for our physical well being, so it would be wrong for him to subject us to trials and hardship. But our Heavenly Father, God, takes care of our spiritual side. Our spirit is eternal, and as such, it is much better for us to undergo short physical trials so that our eternal spiritual state is better. It is very loving of God to provide us with trials to draw us closer to him.
@T9x, hell is an absence from God. He isn't going to force you to go to heaven. If you choose not to follow Him then you spend eternity without Him. Evil is not something God created, it's like light to darkness. There is no way to create darkness, only the absence of light.
@L3G3ND DA1RY, so why are you okay with being tested your entire life and to live a life that god wants you to live? You can sin all you want but if you ask for forgiveness and mean it you're in heaven. What's the point of being tested for your faith anyway? Why do I have to have cancer for him to be sure I still believe in him? It's a bunch of work and check ups that aren't needed. Can you only go to heaven if you have a certain amount of faith points? Why do I need to have people around me die and live with aids for him to be sure I still believe in him? It's all pointless to even bother with "trials". Why is just being a good person not enough for your god, why does bad shït have to happen to validate anything?
@brathosan, Then hell would be where we are now. God dosnt interfere because of freewill and what not. So God is absent.
@T9x, I can understand that feeling, but so many people (including myself) have felt God's presence in their life.
@Dexios S Divine, because the testing of our faith develops perseverance, that we may be mature and complete, not lacking in anything. - somewhere in James chapter 1. And there are no certain number of faith points necessary to get into heaven. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, this not of ourselves, it is a gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast." Just being a good person isn't enough, because that doesn't involve a change of heart, a turning to god. There are plenty of good people who aren't Christians. Plenty. But God requires faith. Repentance. These are things that go beyond just being a good person
@T9x, you are correct in saying that earth is a hell. Our world is fallen, but is not entirely devoid of good. God is very much present and active in our world. The hell that awaits those who do not repent is a much worse place than here on earth
@L3G3ND DA1RY, none of that makes any sense. And you didn't answer anything on lucifer. I need to have lucifer fück with me for me to be a true believer? Why? Why even allow lucifer to be a thing? God didn't want to end one of his creations so he just lets it fück with the rest of them? That makes zero sense for a "good" god. If god was actually good he wouldn't have given lucifer his own realm, because apparently hell isn't punishing him, he runs that shït. And we wouldn't allow him to interact with life if he actually cared about us living good lives. He also wouldn't "test" us. What kind of loving figure tests his creations? Why "test" anything? Why even make a physical realm if everything is going to end up in hell or heaven? None of the things you say god does makes any logical sense other than him being bored and making humans to have something to look at. If he was a good god then evil wouldn't exist, nothing with the power to create and is good would make evil for "tests"
@L3G3ND DA1RY, god doesn't care about you
@brathosan, oh shut up. You have not felt the "presence of God." That's the kind of sh!t people tell other people to get them to drink poisoned kool aid.
@Keyboardstalker, I'm sorry that you feel that way
@Osama bin Dead, here's the main problem with your argument. Adam and Eve never existed. There was never only two humans that became the mommy and daddy of all modern humans, since humans came to be through millions of years of evolution. So the concept of original sin is moot.
@Dexios S Divine, lucifer is a thing because he fits in with gods plan for creation. If you read the finally chapter of the Bible, the book of revelation, you would know that good triumphs in the end and Satan is thrown into the lake of fire. I know it's all very hard to understand for someone who isn't a Christian, but it really does all make sense. God has a plan and it's all going to work out for his good
@Keyboardstalker, what ignorant and unintelligent comments...
@Baby Cthulhu, says you. What proof are you basing this on? The theory of evolution. And I'm not even gonna argue that now because that's a whole different debate
@L3G3ND DA1RY, I was raised catholic, I know the book. Who cares about the ending? We're not at the end we're still living this game of a story you say god is planning. How do you know what gods plan is? Why would you believe anyone who said they hear god? There is no way you'd believe anyone living now saying that they hear god and they start saying things that contradict with the bible. I don't understand how you're cool believing that life is basically some game with an enemy constant trying to kill you that you can't fight and the only way to win is to die. None of that screams a good life or good god to me
@L3G3ND DA1RY, two people who ate an apple millions of years ago are the reason the rest of us have to suffer? Makes perfect sense to me. Sounds to me that if God exists, then he's a d!ck, and doesn't care about us. I guess since hitler remained a devout Christian, and avoided sin (he didn't DIRECTLY kill anybody)
@L3G3ND DA1RY, sh!t hit reply too soon hold on
@L3G3ND DA1RY, what I meant to say is that by Christian logic, then hitler didn't go to hell.
@L3G3ND DA1RY, never mind, I'm not exactly helping my case
@L3G3ND DA1RY, the proof I have is the mountains of evidence provided from the scientific method. See, that's the good thing about science, you don't believe, it's still right. While religion is only right as long as someone believes.
I can say "no! E does NOT equal mc^2", just because I don't believe it, doesn't make it untrue
@Dexios S Divine, because the ending is what makes the whole story worth it. If god doesn't return to judge the wicked, overthrow Satan, and redeem the Christians to glory with him in heaven, then what is the purpose of any of the rest of the story? And no I don't know what gods plan is entirely, but I do know this. God created the whole world perfect. Man sinned and rebelled against god. We now live in a fallen world. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, giving us hope. All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god. But if we repent and turn from our sins, we can be saved. Christ will return to earth again to judge all mankind and to save those who trust in him
@L3G3ND DA1RY, so what about the people who already died? How is he going to judge "all of mankind"? What happens when we leave this "fallen world" to another one? The bible tries way too hard to talk about the future and justifying lucifers existence but it fails on both. I don't care what the book says, no one can "hear" god. Why can't we all? Why would a good god pick and choose who could hear him and not just let everyone know he's there? This whole believing concept is retarded as well. If he wanted us to have free will he would've never mentioned his existence at all. Now we have this sudo free will where we damned if we don't follow his rules. None of it makes sense dude, at all
@Dexios S Divine, I don't know for sure, as I am not by any means a scriptural expert, but I believe that all people who have died will be resurrected into their heavenly bodies. Lucifer is a fallen angel who was once of gods loyal angels. As far as hearing god goes, I don't believe that anyone actually hears a physical voice of God today. God doesn't choose to reveal himself in that way anymore. Rather we can see God in creation around us, and in the good that does exist in the world
@ManWithHair, God isn't real. It's all in your head. Evolution is supported by science. Creationism is ridiculous. Like... really? Lol and why is the Christian God the right one? Why not any of the other Gods? What makes him the right one. Or better yet, what makes the others wrong? Also, are you Christians aware that your religion is just a bunch of other prior religions put together? Do some research with an open mind. You'd be surprised how much any religion is just as ridiculous/wrong as every other religion is to you.
@Lolcatz, God is very real. Evolution is only a theory and nothing more. Science cannot prove anything about our past, only speculate. And Christianity is very very different than all other religions, as you would know if you did your research! It's very impossible for you to know much about Christianity when you yourself have so clearly set yourself in the scientific religion of closemindedness
@L3G3ND DA1RY, I was a Christian for most of my life. And the fact that you just said, "evolution is only a theory" clearly shows that you don't know what you're talking about. You know what else is a theory? Gravity. I'm sure you don't have a problem with that. I'm not going to debate you. Science can't prove anything about our past? Lol uhhhh no. Just... no. That's one of the most ignorant things I've ever heard. Christianity is not the first religion to do or say what it has. Do you know how may different religions have a Virgin birth, a flesh form of their god, a sacrifice of that flesh form god, a resurrection after three days of said flesh form god, a December 25th birthday, etc. I can go on and on. Look it up. Please. Like I said, I used to be a Christian. Most atheists I know used to be Christians as well. The difference between you and me is that you can persuade me with evidence. I can't persuade you with evidence. So don't call me close-minded.
@L3G3ND DA1RY, evolution is only a theory, just like gravity... also, Christianity is actually incredibly similar to hundreds of religions. for example, "the lord of light" otherwise known as Mithras- an ancient cult in which a virgin birth created a man who brought light and cured his followers of sin. It was also said his body was the bread and blood the wine. He was also supposedly killed on earth and returned from death. I forget the exact period the cult was active but i believe it was around 225 BC.
@Cpzombie, you can never win with rationality in these discussions.
@T9x, as a former Christian - this is what drove me away also. The thought of 50% of every generation in the world burning in hell for all eternity because they believe the religion taught to them by their parents. Not for me - which drove me to learn more about evolution and this Big Bang which I like. I'd so rather everything be random and chance
@Dexios S Divine, can we all agree that cookies are delicious?
@Lolcatz, So what science exactly proves that God doesn't exist ?
@Killing instincts , lots of stuff in the Bible, and since the Bible is the "perfect truth"...
@Cpzombie, the Bible isn't the perfect truth, however what specifically proves god isn't real
@Killing instincts , nothing, if you're going to cherry pick. What scientific evidence is there FOR his existence?
Remember that God had one rule. Dont eat the forbidden fruit. God did not abandon man. It was man who abandoned God
@Sir LoLz, I mean, he also didn't give Adam and Eve the mindset of what is good or bad. They got that after they ate the fruit and God punished them.
@SeussAlmighty, it's still a pretty messed mindset though, like I know some German (Austrian) who killed over 6 000 000 people a while back, so hey, let's give every german who is ever born the same punishment that that one historical figure deserved for the rest of their living days
@SeussAlmighty, wrong person though, meant for Original guy
@Sir LoLz, omniscience. He made the fruit knowing that they would eat it, just for fun.
Because it says in the Bible that God can't stop free will. Just sayin
@Swathed in Memes, couldn't he just have made the guy miss? Thereby not messing with the shooter's free will yet still protecting his follower.
@TenorTwoPointO, I mean, not really. It's all a chain reaction allowed by physics and each little tiny movement is affected by elements that involve free will
@Swathed in Memes, except that a brief but forceful gust of wind at the correct time could have shifted each trajectory into a miss easily. And since weather is a basically a mathematically chaotic system it is almost entirely unpredictable as well as only really influenced by random events across the globe. Therefore, to an omnipotent god, a change could have been made that would not impact any sentient lifeforms free will and yet could have save his devote the unessecary suffering. Other options include he could have blew the shooters hair into his eyes or made sweat drip, obscuring his vision. There are dozens of ways to achieve both free will and protection.
If God was omnipotent then why couldn't he just both give us free will and also make it impossible for evil to exist? I know it doesn't make any sense, and for us these two things are clearly mutually exclusive, but omnipotence means that you can make anything happen right? It's impossible for us to even conceive of these two things coexisting, but for him it should be easy enough.
@SixMargheritaPizzas, give us an example of what the world would be like in a scenario like that
Because he hadn't prayed yet, duh Jimmy.
Oh no he's got a heaven gun!! Why do we even have those!?!
I can't stand seeing politics in my funny, but I can't stand seeing religion in my funny even more. People can't handle religious debates, at least not in this community. Comment section turns into a cancer zone
@BIessthefaII, yeah well if god were real there wouldn't be cancer anyways! (Sorry, bad joke. Believe what you want. I believe in him personally)
I feel the best answer to why does god let bad things happen was something I read from a Green Lantern Comic, it went somewhere along the lines of "Because God knows and he can not interfere and has to let the bad things happen. For thing to go the natural course." Something like that
Maybe to teach him a lesson.
Jimmy carr is a legend and by far my favorite comedian.
