I feel like SpongeBob has basically become The Simpsons: a long running animated series with no end in sight that stopped being good a long time ago although the movie was nice
@Sexy Homunculus, and in spongebob's case it was two movies (and personally I liked the newer one more than the first)
@Sexy Homunculus, I haven't seen the newer one in fact I don't even think I've seen the second one. I still get a kick out of the show but there was like 1 or 2 episodes where I was just sitting there like wtf am I watching?
@Sexy Homunculus, Supposedly SpongeBob alone is 70% of Nickelodeon's income. So if Nick did shut it down. It would drastically hurt Nick. Although when the first movie was made. Nick, and SpongeBob's creator agreed to end the show. After it's first movie. But since it made so much cash Nick backed out of the deal and Steven (SpongeBob creator) left the show. So it serves Nick right. Since they got themselves in that situation. A famous quote really fits well wheb reffered to TV. Die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain.
@Lord Palpatine, Also it kind of bugged me that when SpongeBob #1 released. We didnt get a sequel until around ten years. Now they're making SpongeBob 3. Only a couple years After its release.
@Sexy Homunculus, they changed half of the German voice actors and it's so frustrating to watch now
@Lord Palpatine, Well, spongebob has been discontinued...
@A pet named Steve, can't be as frustrating as watching dragon ball in the squeaky Japanese voices when you grew up with the testosterone fest that was the English Z dub
@Sexy Homunculus, that's actually really interesting that you bring that up because both shows changed executive producers after their movies. And that's about the time that they began to lose steam
I'm watching TBBT right now!
@funkymoosechops, I'm sorry your senses have to witness that show.
