If you think wetting your toothbrush is pointless I want you to try to brush your teeth dry and get back to me
@ShantiddlyWoop, I've tried......*flashbacks
@ShantiddlyWoop, we first with hot water to soften bristles a bit and hold a bit of water for moisture, toothpaste, wet again for lather and extra moisture
@ShantiddlyWoop, as someone who has brushed dry for their entire life, I don't see the point in wetting the toothbrush beforehand
@PunnyBaker, my girlfriend thinks I'm wierd for using hot water, I'm glad she is the wierd one who will never know the feeling of soft warm bristles on your gums.
@ShantiddlyWoop, I've never used water except to rinse it off after I'm done using it. So i don't understand
@ShantiddlyWoop, yeah, it's kind of like grabbing a bar of soap and just scraping it on your body lol... you wet yourself AND the soap, then the magic happens... anyone who doesn't wet their toothbrush is a communist
@ShantiddlyWoop, i always enter dry
@ShantiddlyWoop, I use orange juice Instead of water
im pretty sure wetting the toothbrush the first time might be useless but after the paste is on i think thats a crucial step lol. the water helps the paste get all foamy and not as dry a desert in there that you burn yourself with the brush lol
@LeonelFreak, leaving a toothbrush out in the open air in a bathroom leaves it susceptible to airborne feces from when you flush. So rinsing your toothbrush prior to putting any toothpaste on it helps to get rid of some of it. (Unfortunately, the airborne feces is a real thing. Some scientist did a study on it)
@LeonelFreak, personal take on this, wetting your toothbrush beforehand loosens the stiff bristles, apply toothpaste, then brush. The toothpaste gets plenty foamy in your mouth. But the water is definitely a crucial step, wherever it's placed!
@iOS10, I keep a cap on mine at all times bc of a picture I saw either on here or elsewhere, it's been a long time. Point is it had random things cuddling objects like blanket to bed, sushi fish to rice square, and then there it was. There was a cockroach cuddling a freaking toothbrush!!!! I think I went and got a cap and a new toothbrush that very day, bc I live in the country side of Mississippi and we have roaches!!
@iOS10, *shivers* which is why I don't leave my toothbrush in the bathroom
And then don't floss, I repeat don't floss. Just looks at the floss and say "maybe next time"
Well now we know how nasty people brush their tedth.
The second water is for making sure the toothpaste stays on the bristles, especially for someone that has an electric toothbrush.
Well, the reason I personally water it (and scrub a bit with my finger) is cause I don't want my toothbrush to be dirty when I put it in my mouth
I only wet it once before I put the toothpaste on and that's it. I never wet twice
It goes in your butthole a lot easier if you get it wet first, dumbass!
@FuccanA, I don't know about you but my teeth aren't in my ass
They forgot 1 step.. the re apply tooth paste because wetting it a second time washes the paste off
This is exactly how I brush my teeth
You should rinse the tooth brush of bacteria..unless you love diarrhea
Am I the only one who brushes their teeth for probably longer than two minutes?
@The Silver Queen, nope, I go past 2 minutes cause I brush my gums, cheeks, and tongue.
