I don't bbq often... Are to-go plates really a thing? Like to people assume they're just eating at a restaurant so they can wrap up half of their overcooked burger for the ride home?
@thesamfactory, what else are they supposed with their own leftovers? Trash them?
@thesamfactory, it helps with cleaning up...plus if you're a great cook and cook too much it helps
@thesamfactory, at our bbqs there's always a bunch of food and if people bring stuff but don't want to take anything we'd be stuck eating leftovers for a month or giving it all to the dog. It's basically required that people bring food home with them.
@Client Fairy, then why is this 3 leftover plates a big deal??
I do this. I may not know anyone there and nobody knows me, but I totally do this.
Looks more like an unlockable character in a fighting game
They brought themselves... Which is good because you would have been alone otherwise since you have no other friends. Let them enjoy the food you made to lure people to spend time with you. Loser.
@Mr Literal, A barbeque is a team effort
@Mr Literal, enjoying the food is one thing, but gorging yourself and leaving with your arms full when you contributed nothing in return? That's just being a selfish prick. And a barbeque isn't a way for a lonely host to "lure people to spend time with you", it's a way for friends and family to get together and have fun, and it's traditional to bring something to contribute.
