As a European *
As Americans nether did we
I can't decide, is "an European" grammatically correct?
@I am bacon man, no, you go by the phonetic pronounciation, and since the first letter of the phonetic pronounciation is "y" as a consonant, that makes "a European" correct.
@RAM Card, thanks, friend.
@I am bacon man, you're welcome bacon man
@I am bacon man, the general rule of thumb is it's "a" before a consonant and "an" before a vowel. But the actual rules are phonetic, not literary (correct word?), hence you say "an hour" instead of "a hour" for example
@RAM Card, and also how you go "an hour"
@Sven and Otar, also some other H words, like you say "an historical event" which really irritates me lol
@Strange Tamer, really? I've always said and written "a historical event" because I thought it's supposed to be phonetically vowel-like in sound and not just some arbitrary words on top of those
@Sven and Otar, yeah same here, but for some reason with certain words it's weird like that... i dunno who even gets to make these decisions lol
@Strange Tamer, at least with French there's like an actual scholarly order of appointed officials who determine the rules and regulations for French and what words become real words. I forget the name of the order but the title you get for becoming a member is like lord or something similar. You also get fancy robes and a sword which is pretty badass. I just wish we had a group like that working for English lol
Hey guys, one last update on the Overwatch Tournament then I'll go back to not commenting:
Central was put against University of Washington (also called UDub) and the fight was one sided, we lost 2-0. They would go on to win the tournament.
Now that may call for a "better luck next time", but the talk of the tournament wasn't them winning, it was that Centrals team caught these MUCH better players off guard and almost won a round against the best collegiate Overwatch team in Washington.
I played support (Mercy in game one and Lucio in two) and was commended by the other teams for my positioning, special awareness, and skills with those heroes. In which I'm a Mercy main and played 10 minutes of Lucio, ever.
I was told by the members of UDub that if they did not focus me as hard as they did, they were sure I would have been able to make some amazing plays.
Well, that's all, everyone! For those who read every one of these, thank you for reading and I hope everyone has a great week
@Hunter Master Class, good job man, glad to hear you guys gave it all you got and did good
@Hunter Master Class, who the hell gave you downvotes? You weren't being a douche canoe
@Sven and Otar, I guess it was people who were against CWU. Shame people like that can't get along with us. I actually hugged a ton of UW's and DigiPen's team before the tournament and offered some nice word and good lucks and the like.
@Hunter Master Class, I mean, I know nothing of professional gaming other than it exists for games like Starcraft, LoL, Overwatch, and a couple others. But I'd figured it was a bit more low key than this. I guess I was wrong:P
@Sven and Otar, oh, it's getting bigger and bigger as the years go on. Look up "Disney eSports". I don't remember the exact figure but Disney put around 440k into League's main eSports tournament. I'm in collegiate teams for Overwatch and League, and I'm trying to put together a team for Destiny since tournaments for that will be starting soon.
As an..... as an..... AS AN!!!
@Dephenistrator, no it's "a". You use the phonetically correct weird. It makes the y sound therefore it is a. Just like you don't say a hour you say an hour
This is a very accurate representation of European memers
As a Canadian I didn't know either
Actually same. Except I'm Canadian.
As a Biden, I didn't know what a European was until I saw the memes
Don't blame your ignorance on your continent.
@TomPholio, I mean, isn't a valid reason. Why would someone not in the US know who the vise president is?
@TomPholio, if your so smart who is the vice queen of England? Checkmate atheists
"Barack Obama! My n|gga!"
