And I didn't find a single Democrat whining about executive overreach when President Obama was doing it
@Goldeneye, because it took 8years for Obama to reach that number, and even then republicans complained. But when trump does it in the course of 1/2 a year nobody complains...the joke was less than 30 words... how could you misinterpret it like that...
@I Rate Pics, all I know is I have to pay $695 next month because I couldn't afford insurance. And as a young adult with a mortgage, supporting myself, that hurts. So if trump fixes that mess then more power to him
I mean.... he ain't wrong. You may be liberal or conservative but you can't fight facts.
@Charlemagne, shjt I forgot about alternate facts
@Charlemagne, did you miss 2016? All Donald did was fight facts.
@Charlemagne, don't bring up facts. Numbers and figures hurt the average American's brains. That's why we use buzzwords like,"DEFICIT" and "SOCIALISM" and "PLANNED PARENTHOOD/ABORTION". People don't want federal dollars to go to abortions through Planned Parenthood, but federal dollars already go to County Hospitals... who perform abortions. So wtf? Not only are their federal dollars going to abortions but also their local sales tax/property taxes. I'm like--- WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU AMERICA.
@SchroedingerPussPuss, *there. 5 yo was slamming his head on my pregnant belly while typing. Ughhhhh
@SchroedingerPussPuss, shjt. I was right the first time 😱
@SchroedingerPussPuss, haha darn kids! But yeah, people become so obsessed with one concept/buzzword that they don't realize/take the time to understand that it's not just that. It goes both ways in the political spectrum. It'd be nice to fix, but there's too many ignorant people.
@Charlemagne, politics strikes at emotions. Even the most intelligent people become raging morons when emotions take over. As far as kids- I found out a woman's brain literally shrinks because of pregnancy and becomes more "concentrated". We get more gray matter and actually increase our intellect... but the reduction in size comes at a cost. We lose verbal reasoning skills. Which I never really had to begin with -_-
@SchroedingerPussPuss, And it's only the Republicans that use buzzwords and take advantage of fears and play on emotions? 'cause I'm pretty sure all politicians ever do that.
@HiroAntagonist, naw. Both sides do it. "CLIMATE CHANGE" and "WOMEN'S HEALTH" are big ones too. I just couldn't think with my kid slamming his head into my belly
@SchroedingerPussPuss, That's what I was thinking, but I wanted to be sure.
@HiroAntagonist, always good to verify!
@Charlemagne, it is wrong. Republicans didn't like what Obamas executive orders did, not the number of them.
@Oujosh29, or the fact that most of these are undoing Obama's executive orders. That little fact is being overlooked.
@SchroedingerPussPuss, I was with you right up until you started talking.
@Charlemagne, calm down. Roosevelt did 3,721 in eight years. http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/data/orders.php Trump and Obama ain't got sh*t on him.
@Pubmarine Shamwich, that was also during a period of a massive war, which would significantly increase the number of executive orders from the president. So comparing them to FDR wouldn't really make a lot of sense since the conditions unarguably called for it.
Read townhall.com then. You won't find anything good about republicans on Google news, msnbc or cnn, or any times papers. Ever. Read from both parties, or accept that you are narrow minded and only want to hear what your supposed to from your party.
@Dephenistrator, The Liberal Translation Guide was hilarious. Almost as funny as the Conservative Translation Guide. Reading townhall.com and msnbc is like watching two 4-year olds having an argument.
@Master BullShjtzu, it is, any case of rep vs dems is really
I'm pretty sure the idea is that he's rolling back executive orders made by Obama. He's making the government smaller in scope rather than how Obama increased its scope. This kind of a misleading picture.
@Ultramatt, not really, at least in this case. Wednesday's executive actions have nothing to do with Obama's. One of them has to do with trying to eliminate the power of sanctuary cities, while the other is a cherry-picked list of middle-east countries that he's banning immigration from.
In fact, he has gone back on his campaign stance on DACA, saying last month that he would "work something out."
@Ultimatum, i dont know why people are hating on you so much this is entirely true. Just like its true that just because he signed some in his first week doesn't mean hes going to sign that many every week
@Ultramatt, EO's expire with the outgoing president. Barry's already reversed themselves.
He's just a fvck face...
Just pointing out the facts as they currently stand, guys. Not that he won't do anything about DACA, as that remains to be seen. Just that so far, he hasn't really touched it.
@EatMyAss, they don't expire when the president leaves. They are still enforced unless the new president changes it.
@Ultramatt, that and he is making the government's power somewhat larger in scope by ordering law enforcement to detain those who are apprehended(such as a traffic stop) and are suspected of breaking a law, either regional or federal. Admittedly, this is something that I would agree with, though "suspected" is a bit of a loose term for my tastes.
The arguments in the comments are more entertaining than the picture. :)
Stfu Kermit you're a frog puppet you have no business starting wars in comment sections
Keep the shjt off of funnypics
He's also on pace to get more done in a month than Obama did in 8 years but that's none of my business
@Jolee Bindo, he couldnt get much done because the dumbass repubs went against him on everything. They didn't even come up with a replacement for afc yet they kept trying to get rid of it
@Dexios S Divine, why replace something that's broken and unconstitutional?
@AnimusJ, because it gave insurance to poor people. Afc is shït but its something, id rather they come up with a replacement than leaving people with no health insurance
@AnimusJ, can you explain how the ACA is unconstitutional? I've heard it been said, but it's never been accompanied by an explanation, so I've been kinda in the dark about it.
@Ultimatum, technically it's not, but how the Supreme Court did their mental gymnastics to rule forcing citizens to buy a private product (health insurance) is mind boggling. Just another example of what's wrong with the Supreme Court.
@Dexios S Divine, Can you blame the repubs for cock blocking him? Literally everything he touched turned to sh!t.
The price of healthcare has drastically risen.
He ruined relations with Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East.
He pulled out of Iraq too soon creating a hole that spawned Isis.
We paid $5 billion and released 5 taliban prisoners in return for a deserter, Bergdahl.
Failed to secure our borders.
9 trillion more in debt.
Racial decision at an all time high.
Failed economic stimulus plan.
Highest percentage of Americans on Food Stamps and Medicaid.
Lowest Labor Force participation rate of 62.7%.
Over 94 million Americans out of the workforce.
And it goes on and on...
@Jolee Bindo, it's better to not get anything done than to get bad things done
@Robenstein, So increasing border security, halting immigration from terrorist hotbeds until immigrants and be properly vetted, providing relief from Obamacare, putting a freeze on federal hiring, and strengthening the military among other things are considered bad? What is this bizarro world?
@Ultimatum, As was somewhat said, we cannot be forced as a people to pay for something. That's the gist of it. ACA forces people to pay for a service, that's against the constitution.
@AnimusJ, problem with that argument is that it's considered a tax, thus it does fall under the powers of the national government.
@Ultimatum, A tax to pay for services.
I'm a democrat and I hate trump not because of his politics but because he's not a decent human being. That being said, I can't believe everyone still believes he's gonna do everything he promised. Obviously he said most of it to get votes from racists and blue collar America. He's not stupid as to deport every immigrant, wherever they may come from. If he was to revoke daca the country would lose billions on taxes and the house market would fall again. He's a business man people. I hope he does well and I feel he means well. Let's make America better than what we are now. We don't have to compare ourselves with other countries, because few countries face our diversity problems.
@DonJuanDelaNooche, I'm not sure what problem you have with "blue collar" America, just better than them I suppose. And It's ridiculous to imply his voters are racist when a lot of counties that voted Obama twice, voted Trump this time. He's already started making good on more campaign promises than Obama did in 8 years.
@the fork, I never said I have a problem with blue collar America since I'm blue collar myself and proud of it. All I said is they were his target voters and those were the ones that voted for Obama in the past. As far as people who are racially biased voting for him, let's not kid ourselves, there were a lot of them.
@DonJuanDelaNooche, I definitely wouldn't say a lot. I'll agree there were some, but there were some on the other side to. For a campaign than many claim to be based in racism, Trump did better with every race than Romney did.
THIS MADE ME LAUGH...see i cant even lie to myself
Well, almost all of them are to reverse Obama's legacy of executive orders. He even told us that that is exactly what he was planning to do.
It's hard to find a problem with it because he's undoing so many old executive orders.
You know what's liberal? The use of this meme. This doesn't seem right...
Until order 66...
Alright just move on
Hey everyone. I'm still conducting my research study for social psychology. I just need 98 more patriotic people to tell me the 9/11 story in your words. It'll only take a moment of your time and will be tremendously helpful. If you love your country, troops and jesus, please leave me a comment telling me the 9/11 story in your own words. Serious commenters only. Thank you
@DHS Crisis Actor, it seems like this would be a poor sample group.
@Delivery God Yato, there are plenty of people here who believe the 9/11 story, so maybe not. Would you be willing to take part?
@DHS Crisis Actor, boom
@DHS Crisis Actor, I was a kid, so this is what I think about it. A plane hit the twin towers and that was on the news. Then another plane hit and there were more news about other planes. The living room television in my house was nonstop news. I wanted to watch kids shows instead of news. My parents thought I was a psychopath because I didn't care, but I was like 7, so... I got really irritated that people cared so much about it. To me it wasn't a big deal.
@Ruupasya, interesting. So what happened on 9/11? Like, how would you tell it to someone who was born after the event?
@Delivery God Yato, what I mean is that this would be an example of convenient/volunteer sampling, which can make for poor results.
@DHS Crisis Actor, plus I imagine age groups would greatly impact your results and would be difficult to gauge just how much of each group your getting.
@Delivery God Yato, okay thanks. Would you like to tell the 9/11 story in your own words?
@Ruupasya, so do you believe the government's official narrative about 9/11?
@DHS Crisis Actor, i think that it doesn't really matter what actually happened, because the result is the same.
@Ruupasya, so do you believe the government's official narrative about 9/11 or not?
Probably because he's reversing Obama's executive overreach.
Well at least he is doing what he said he would unlike dipšhit Obama
And if I jerk off 5 times in an hour, I'll be on track to do it 120 a day. That doesn't mean I'll actually do it 120 times that day.
Excuse me, there is politics in my funny.
Are you kidding plenty of Republicans (including me) I know are sick of this man. He's just a meme now
I'm complaining about it... I've always disliked executive orders, they're a breach of the balances of power.
Ummmm, me. I am Republican and I am complaining about overreach....
So Trump has signed 12. Obama signed 275, which was lower than Bush or Clinton. Bush had 291. Clinton had 364 (may be slightly off on that). At any rate, the statement in the meme is untrue.
I don't think he's signed nearly that many yet, but I haven't checked in a few days.
And every news outlet I have seen, including CNN, etc, is listing trump as having signed one more executive order his first week than Obama did...
@RogueKnight, but they aren't talking about the UFO that shut down the ISS stream
@Kill it with fire, my point was simply that I couldn't find any factual evidence to support the statement in the meme.
