It is the guy from oh brother were art thou but that was also a reference to one of the first and most famous blues players of all time, Robert Johnson. The legend was that he sold his soul at the cross roads to get his skill with the guitar. He even made a song about it called crossroads

@Bemobambam, while I approve of your wonderful explanation, I still prefer the Dethklok version
Is this from oh brother where art thou
@32Shaq32, didnt see your comment, dang
@32Shaq32, it's an old Mississippi legend. But it was referenced in oh brother where art thou?
@Jesus Chrysler, Yea, the black guy they pick up who plays guitar for them in the recording studio.
@Massive Liar, that wasn't a question. Just writing the title of the movie.
@Jesus Chrysler, My bad, carry on.
Robert Johnson RIP king of the delta blues
He can't play music, he has no soul!
Is this what happened to the black guitar player in oh brother where art thou?
Reminds me of the movie "Croassroads" with Ralph Macchiato
@tha5th, Yes, long before "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"
And then, they became best friends forever
This is also referenced in Supernatural.
