As soon as i saw "say" instead of "says", I started reading it in a ghetto black woman voice
@Kangaroo Jacked, i mean, you deserve credit for getting past "Dontrell" without turning that voice on
@Kangaroo Jacked, same.
@Kangaroo Jacked, it only took me till "Dontrell"
@Kangaroo Jacked, i thought i was the only one lmao
@Strange Tamer, Dontrell could be a White guy's name.. Said no one ever.
Mrs. Reed don't play that shjt. Stay classy, madam.
Read an interesting article not too long ago about things like this turning into an epidemic. I have anecdotal evidence of it, too, because my aunt treats my cousin's teachers the same. She has their email addresses, and the phone numbers of the ones stupid enough to give them out. If she doesn't understand how to do his homework, she'll call or email them, and if they don't help she complains to the principal.
Now they're getting to college and federal law says parents can't access that information, and kids don't know what to do. I kinda wanna get popcorn and just watch the first few weeks of fall freshmen roll in.
@HiroAntagonist, very little actual learning happens in public schools anyways.
@Doctor Krieger, doesn't help when the actual possibility of learning is undermined by whiny parents.
@HiroAntagonist, my favorite parent conference was where this boy told his mom the teachers were failing him. She then saw how many missing assignments he had (12 for me, 18 for my friend). His mom only spoke Spanish but she got the point. She literally took her sandal off and smacked him on the head. F'n hilarious.
Pettiness... that doesn't sound like someone being petty. That sounds like someone concerned with the education of a student.
Did Mrs Reed just assume Dontrell doesn't have a father and therefore called her "Ms" Davis? I know I did...
Mrs. means that someone is married.
Ms. is ambiguous.
Miss means that someone is unmarried.
@Tie Domi, looks to me like she was a contact meaning possible previous interactions
@Tie Domi, Ms is for when you don't know if married or not. Safe bet type of thing
What does being on the basketball team have to do with anything he's a student and should be treated as any other
@eleven, Sometimes teachers go easy on students that are athletes so that they won't get kicked off the team.
@CriTiKa1, it's sports brainpower is more important than muscle power it's a fact just look at our evolution
@eleven, Yeah, but if you don't SPORTS hard then yet UNAMERICAN cuz we love FOOTBALL and BEER!
@Jdrawer, sports are pointless and alcohol is terrible
@eleven, Kinda the point of my comment.
Looks like Ms.Davis cheated on a few spelling tests with the way she spelled "seniors".
@Good Ol Days, she had a senoir moment...
This. This is why I quit teaching and joined the Army. Such a quality of life improvement, and I'm way less likely to get shot.
I can't be a teacher.. I would have curse the parent!
