That's a tough one. I'd have to say April 25th. Because it's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.
@oh deer, My kind of day.
@oh deer, Are you from Rhode Island?
@oh deer, see now THAT, is a hardened criminal.
@oh deer, welcome to Ohio, where it snows on April 25th
The reason we put the month first isn't for organization's sake, it's because that's the way people talk. When someone asks "what day is christmas?" We don't say the 25th of december, we say december 25th. Then the year is at the end because it's not always important, so when read out loud, it's easier to follow along with rather than having to skip a number then come back to it.
@Fight Club, you and I speak differently then
@Spartan Adlai, yeah, cause if someone ask the date the first thing I physically think of, and assume people want to know, is the day, so I will just say the 19th or the 19th of April. Never the month first.
However, if someone is asking a known future date I might say December 25th, because I its off the top of my head. So it basically come down to if I have to think about it or not.
@Fight Club, many other languages use the day first and then the month. It makes more sense for them to phrase it this way, like Spanish. USA English is one of the few languages to use the month first.
@Fight Club, "4th of July"
@Fight Club, We say 25th of December in the land down under.
@Nuclearkitten, of course our liberating freedom anniversary is the exception lol
My birthday too
@TeaEarlGreyHot, for the sake of file organization, Yes!
@TeaEarlGreyHot, this works too
@TeaEarlGreyHot, this is actually the ISO standard for dates so...
But for real dd/mm/yyyy is the way to go
But America is an asshole and has to make us different from the rest of the world, just like the measuring system.
@K1lgore, USA! USA! USA!
@K1lgore, in school I always loved doing calculations in metric, and now, as an American engineer, it's all in English units and I get sad
I'd honestly prefer this one over the Americanized version
@Taquito Speedo, it just makes more sense! I always wrote my dates this way in high school and it would drive my teachers nuts.
I like MM-DD-YY
Anyone know who painted this ?
MM/DD/YYYY master race, y'all!
@Doctor Krieger, booooooo
English is stupid neither can claim to be better
