**trigger warning** People are too damn sensitive these days. When I was younger, if you were bullied, you would take the high road by shooting up the school.
@SirLordKraftDinner, I think I'm older than you, because when I was a kid, if you were bullied you challenged your bully to a knife fight. If you won you also went after those who laughed during(your) bullying
twas how men resolved their issues,
it was a simpler time
@D4rthbob, you youngins have no idea how hard it used to be. When I was a kid if you got bullied you had to both get naked and wrestle while you were greased up. If you won you just kept wrestling other naked guys.
@SirLordKraftDinner, Heh, "trigger" warning
@BigJohnson86, yeah, "wrestled" them... the good old days
@SirLordKraftDinner, isn't that the only logical option?
@SirLordKraftDinner, my dad was bullied by this kid, so their dad's made them fight to resolve it. My dad won and they became really good friends
@SirLordKraftDinner, You guys are lucky, I still have PTSD from all those barbaric Beyblade battle
@D4rthbob, it sounds like a better time. I deplore the school shooting option. Make it a fair-ish fight with no crossfire. Knives are definitely the way to go.
If we're gonna keep using the past as a benchmark for how much people should care about their problems, then what's the point of improving society. The fact that we don't ever have to be annoyed at child labour or slavery in the modern first world is a sign that life is better, not that people complain more.
@YUNoJump, unless you're offended that 3rd world child labor took yer jerb
@YUNoJump, except that people find more to complain about and be offended by now that modern first world life has gotten better. The point is that people complain about being offended by another person's point of view instead of issues that matter, like child labor and slavery did in the past.
@YUNoJump, people do complain about child labor and slavery, you know the sweat shops that made your phone and the sex slave you bought last nigh
@RogueKnight, the "issues that matter" is subjective. Although I have a middle road view of abortion, there are some that think pharmaceutical rights are more of an important issue than say... clean water. Oh wait- American politics right there.
seems like folks just like to bjtch about successive generations. Most people in 2017 arent whiny fvcks. The concept of leaving for war at 18 didnt just stop being a thing after WWII. The majority of enlisted soldiers enlist at 18 or 19. And bjtching about young people is what whiny bjtches do.
@Hoban Washburne, I think the issue is that all the people we hear about surrounding this are, in fact, whiny bitches.
@Hoban Washburne, bitch bitching bitches. You can say them all!
@CynicalSirr, im never sure. ive written long posts before that just got deleted cuz i forgot to bleep a swear. so now im just better safe than sorry
@Hoban Washburne, what I do is highlight all and press copy before I post anything longer than two paragraphs.
If I write out a long comment and it gets censored, I rarely am willing to type it out a second time. By copying I can edit it to try again.
I vote we settle disputes with sword duels like the old Euros used to do
At least you had a job and at 9yrs old. Im 25 and cant find a job
Black plague? Black? Im so offended. I dont even know why, im asian
1980s: The machines rose from the ashes of the nuclear fire. Their war to exterminate mankind had raged for decades, but the final battle would not be fought in the future. It would be fought here, in our present. Tonight...
Back if my day, we used brass knuckles in a fight
