*Racks second shotgun shell*
I said this last time a pic like this came around: an old neighbor of mine that lived a few houses away was broken into, shot the burglar guy then called the cops. The burglar told the cops some story like he was lost and asked to use my neighbors phone and when he walked in the house, my neighbor started acting crazy and shot him. Burglar just about got off scott free and my neighbor got aggrevated assault with deadly weapon. If someone breaks in your home, kill them. It'll be your word against a dead mans
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, just make sure their back isn't to the house
@Oh so cherry, or as another neighbor that is a cop and orange county seat has told me: "if he dies and falls out the front door, drag him inside"
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, a cop buddy told me similar. Can’t get a dead mans side of things when it comes to home invasion
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, remember folks, its not overkill unless you reload and keep firing.
and i bet it was a burglar who downvoted you
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, to add onto that, most times a burglar that you shoot and survives will sue you in a civil lawsuit, they will win 95% of the time even if you won the criminal lawsuit. Once heard a story where a burglar went to rob a house, got shot in the act, survived, sued the home owner, then ends up owning the house he burglarized.
@Guy Fawkes, unfortunately, if they’re already down and you shoot them again it could count as an execution, so make sure you’re quick with your trigger and unload before they fall!
@Drunk Pantless Uncle,
I hate cliques but thats typical american. Gun violence, ridiculous lawsuits and devaluating human lifes.
@Cpzombie, double, maybe even triple tap
@Donquixote Corazon , 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@Donquixote Corazon , they’re the ones devaluing their own lives by wasting them attempting to harm innocents. You think if someone (potentially armed) breaks into your house you should just what, tie yourself up and hope for the best?
You dont know this person or the circumstances. Maybe he became a criminal because its the only way he can pay for the medicaments he or someone he loves needs (likely with americas healthcare system). Maybe its just some drunk teenager and its part of a dare. Maybe its someone who goes through a rough time and got drug addicted and now has to make some money somehow but isnt actually a bad person. Or yes, maybe its someone with a gun (which is likely in the usa) who wants to do harm to you or your Family.
Im not saying you shouldn't defend yourself in any way possible. But dont harm them more than necessery. Its not up to you who gets to life and who has to die.
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, so what your saying is use a shotgun?
@Donquixote Corazon , if they’re likely intending to do harm to me or my family, why would I care what their circumstances are? Also, that’s kinda the point of a gun... you do get to choose who gets to live and who has to die, you point it at them and pull the trigger they die, you don’t they live. If the gun doesn’t do that, you should get a new gun
@Guy Fawkes, So you’re saying to always keep two guns loaded?
@Donquixote Corazon , I’m going to side with Cpzombie if someone’s is forceably entering a home then just your presence is not going to stop them, there’s a difference in intentional acts of crime where they are willing to hurt others to get the results they want, and crimes of convenience where they see an easy buck. This is why locking your door stops the robberies you described of the drunken teen or petty thief, they don’t want to hurt someone so a small deterrent works.
Okay you know what im gonna say it, even if it sends me to downvote hell since this app is mostly used by americans.
Guns. Are. Shjt!
You always act like in a "gun free zone/country" guns would still be a big problem and criminals could get one anyway and yes theoretical you could just order one in the darkweb. But belive it or not, it somehow still works. I literally do not remember the last time I heard that someone was robbed with a gun, or someone was shot by a burglar or that some sick kid shoot a bunch other kids with the gun his father had for "selfdefense". Things like these are sooo fvcking rare in Germany or other gun free countries, compared to the usa.
I dont buy it when someone says he has a gun to protect himself. In 9/10 cases he ownes it so he can feel secure and strong. I get that, having a gun in your hand makes you feel mighty and powerful and in fact they do make you powerful but that's exactly what I despise about guns. They give every cowardly....
@Donquixote Corazon ,
... fast judging dumbass the power to take someones life. Like that idiot drunk pantless uncle who thinks he has the right to decide if the wounded burglar gets to life or not.
@Donquixote Corazon , such a lack of historical knowledge. I would think that, as a German, you would understand the need for an armed populace to guard against a tyrannical government.
But I’m sure THAT will never happen again!
@Donquixote Corazon , so would you rather I use a sword or a mace or something? I collect them for fun, but if I feel threatened and don’t have a gun, I’ll go for one of them. A gun would be much less painful though, both psychologically for me and physically for the intruder... and physically for me too, because they’re much less effective at quickly stopping somebody before they hurt you
An armed populance would have changed a shjt. Hitler was charesmatic, the germans where depressed after the ww I and he told the people about a bright future and gave them a concept of an enemy they could blame (jews)
Hitler got elected by the people.
Its not like the populance was threatened with guns against their head, wishing they had guns to revolt.
Also, dont tell me I am the one who lacks historical knowledge
If at night a burglar came into my apartment I would feel save enough with my knife because its quite unlikely that burglars here have guns. But yeah If guns could be bought by everyone I would be worried and wouldn't feel save without one.
@Donquixote Corazon , problem there is that gun fights have winners, knife fights just have who bleeds out last
This might sound irrational but would rather be in a knife fight and have a fair chance of winning with more control of the situation than being shot without a fair chance.
@Donquixote Corazon , how would having a knife give you more control over the situation? With a gun, you shoot them you win and you have more range so you could hide, with a knife you have to be close and even if you stab them they’ll probably stab you back, people don’t die instantly from stab wounds
You can see it the other way around too: "With a gun, you get shot by them you loose"
In a gunfight the outcome is based on who decides to pull out their gun first/who shoots first.
In a knife/bump fight i can influence the outcome based on how fast/ strong I am.
This isn't a rational thing, just my personal way if seeing it
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, There was a story a few years back where a burglar snuck into the home of an elderly woman through the window in her kitchen and he fell on some knives she had laying on the counter, he sued and won
@Donquixote Corazon , I very much respect your opinion on this, but I feel like I need to give mine after reading all these comments. I'm a pa resident, but I've lived around the world growing up as an army brat. Violence is an unfortunate but very real part of life for a lot of people, not just in America, but everywhere. Coexistence is just not a natural state for mankind, and it's going to be a long time before we outgrow that as a species. I would never want to kill a person, and I truly hope I would never have to, but that doesn't stop me from carrying everywhere I go. I have a family that relies on me for support and protection. I lock my doors and cars, I don't put things outside that would make me look rich, I do my due diligence to not look like a good Mark. If someone ever broke into my house, and I was lucky enough to get the drop on them with my gun, I like to think I would give them the opportunity to just leave. But if that doesn't work, I'm shooting. Armed or not.
@Donquixote Corazon , ah yes, populism and nationalism... that will also never happen again.
And way to dismiss a huge percentage of the population who would have gladly risen up against Hitler, given the right tools to do so.
Im didn't say populism and nationalism wont never happen again, it kind of does already.
First of all bjtch, in the beginning it wasn't known what awful and inhumane things hitler did. people had no reason to revolt even if they could.
Secondly, do you seriously think this that later in war when people become more aware of the warcrimes that the nazis commited people would have just risen against this to end the war or some shjt.
Things are way complicated than you can imagine
@Donquixote Corazon , of course they are, bitch. But you would prevent gruel the ability to even try because “gUnS aRe ShíT”.
You are in favor of ONLY the government having guns which leads to the inability to overthrow a corrupt or tyrannical government. But, like you said, things are way more complicated, I chose to keep the ability to at least fight back. Fûck you and your boot licking, I choose a messy freedom over subservience and cowardice.
@Cpzombie, edit: sorry meant to reply to DonQuixote!
in all of the arguments above, you seem to discount the danger of a burglar coming into someone’s house. I have daughters. If someone breaks into my house, they will die. Period. Full stop. Yes I get to decide that. Quit with “what if they’re just poor or marginalized”. They make a decision to put themselves is a situation that can be deadly. They made the choice, not me. But I refuse to be a victim. You go ahead and plead that they don’t harm you while you wait for someone to come save you.
Tyrannical governments can hardly happen in a political system with a separation of power. Unlike germany in the 1930s and the usa we dont have to worry about one Tyrannical idiot starting a war or opressing the people.
@Donquixote Corazon , WRONG! People (like you) have the ability to vote against their own best interest. Namely this starts with the government asking for more power and authority, for your safety of course!
Like your dear Chancellor Merkel asking to limit “hate speech”. For your own safety.
“Oh gUnS are terrible, you should not have them! Leave the guns to the government! We’ll protect you (from yourself)” - every dictator ever
@InsaneWorm, I too have seen liar liar.
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, Burglary alone is covered under legal justification of lethal force in some states, but some states require the burglar to be armed as well before lethal force is legally permitted. Regardless, expect to go to court if you use lethal force.
@Donquixote Corazon , wait wait wait. Are you telling me if some crack head if someone "down on their luck, trying to feed their family" breaks into your home and put YOUR family in harm's way.... you'll what? Give them a hug and all your valuables?
@Donquixote Corazon , gun free zones, or the dissolution of the second amendment would be marginally effective. That is it would or could have been in an area that doesnt already have more guns than people. But that is so far from mthe case here in America. Personally im not for it in the first place, i dont place my trust in someone else placing my life above therea. Not even a cop as it was decided by our supreme court that a cop doesnt have to protect a citizen if it means placing himself in danger. kinda sumb right? Wtf are they there for if not to protect?
Its not a viable way to tackle the problem here. Weve seen it time and time again where "gun free zones" have been specifically targetted because theyre an easy target.
And on a more personal side i know that there is no way in hell that our police force is going to disarm after the public does so which would only serve to exacerbate the scale of out police state problem.
@Drunk Pantless Uncle,
I DID NOT FVCKING SAID THAT. Fvcking crist you idiots make me furious.
Of course, if someone tries to do harm to you or your family you do everything you can to protect them, even if you have to kill the buglar. But only if you fvcking have to. Is it really so abnormal for you fvckfaces that I want to reduce the amount of dead people to a minimum.
@Donquixote Corazon , pssst, *(whispers)hey I have a secret to tell you. EVRYONE DIES!
Did you read the comments above that burglars that survive SUCCESSFULLY sue the homeowner? The point they are making, is that if someone does break in, and you wound them, you will be the one in trouble by the court.
Get off you fûcking high horse for a second and at least attempt to comprehend the argument.
Everyone dies? no shjt?
Okay I will keep the follwing simple so even you can understsnd:
You cant kill people just because they Might sue you!
@Donquixote Corazon , counterpoint, if they break into my house - yes I can.
@Donquixote Corazon , all those “reasons” make me all the more sure that you should kill the bad guy so he doesn’t give this handful aid excuses to the police
@Donquixote Corazon , thank you again for the reminder that it’s hard to win an argument against a smart person, it’s impossible to win against a stupid person.
Well if you think you can do whatever you want to people who broke into your house just because you want to or see a gain in it, why not just keeping them captive and chain them in your basement to sell their organs. You are just a bad person. The world would be a much better place if people like you would just kill themself. I really hope your children don't adopt your attitude of morality and instead become better people.
@Donquixote Corazon , wow. Now that is the dumbest response ever. Impressive really. I’m impressed
btw. Im discussing in my second language here which is not making it easier to me
@Donquixote Corazon , the world would be much better if people like me just kill themselves... I’m sure that was a mistranslation and not just you being the worlds biggest douche.
For real you think the fact that its your house justifys a murder. Thats sick. An easy misunderstanding could lead to the death of an innocent and a lifelong trauma to you
@Donquixote Corazon , you mistake “murder” which is premeditated and the victim is the dead guy, to “self defense” in which case the dead guy could have avoided being dead by not breaking into a house.
Yes, it would traumatize me, but less so than having a daughter raped or killed.
In US, if you “aim to wound” you presumed to have not been in mortal danger, therefore use of deadly force is not warranted. If you feel that your life or others lives are in danger you shoot to kill. Period. Full stop.
You do what ever you want to defend yourself , or not. I don’t care. Please do not presume to know what is best for me or for anyone else.
Of course, if its self defense you do what is necessary, even killing someone.
But just the fact alone that someone broke into your house does not justify murder.
Like if you came into your kitchen at night and see burglar, he sees you, panickes and flees.
would the fact that he broke into your house justify shooting him in the back?
Or if you caught a burglar with a knife in his hand and fire a shot right away hitting stomach. The buglar falls down and can barely move out of pain, he is no longer a potential danger for you or you family. Are you trying to tell me that shooting his head wouldn't be murder?
@Donquixote Corazon , is this your first time on the internet?
No, I wouldn’t shoot someone in the back. Second one, I would not want them to live. They tried to attack me with a deadly weapon. Your scenario wouldn’t happen to me, as I would have emptied my magazine, all 10 rounds, before they fell to the ground.
@Donquixote Corazon , if you shoot a wound him then shoot again (and it can be proven) then yes that is murder and what this WHOLE FVCKING DISCUSSION is about. The point is,shoot 2,3 or 5 times before he hits the ground.Take no chances. They is no way for you to know when you see someone in your house what theyre equipped with or what their intentions are.You are a prime example of a fvcking idiot on the outside, looking in, thinking you know the laws of a land across the world from you. What you hear about in the news makes up for less than 1% of lawful gun owners in America. The VAST majority own firearms for 3 reasons. The enjoy shooting as a past time, hunting or self defense. And self defense is defined by you feeling your life is in danger. Guy in my house at 1am and all I can see is his silhouette? I'm not about to ask him what he wants or wait for him to decide to kill me if he wants to or has the means to. My house, my rules and I don't know you or your plans for me. Pew pew.
@Donquixote Corazon , also, shooting in the back is NOT considered self defense. Again, you do not know the laws here enough to even whisper a fvcking word about it.
Example: if someone runs in my house and stabs me then runs away, I don't have the right to shoot him. Although I may be bleeding and possibly die later, my life is not in IMMEDIATE danger and therefore I do not have the right to shoot.
Another example: if I get home one night and can see my front door kicked in, I am not allowed to enter my own house, gun drawn to shoot a intruder because I have the ability to leave and call the cops. By walking in with my gun, I am putting myself in potential danger and do NOT have the right to use deadly force.
Do use a favor and either shut your Frankfurter Würstchen sucker or educate yourself on a topic you don't know fvck all about before you come at us Muricans sideways again.
@Donquixote Corazon , i disagree with your premise of limiting the amount of deaths in the world in the first place, but even moreso when it comes to criminals.
This world is already on the brink (relatively) of overpopulation so the more bad seeds we start getting rid of the better off we will be as a species.
Not to say that killing a criminal will prevent another criminal from being born but if you have a weed in your garden you dont just let it keep growing "because more weeds are gunna grow anyway" you pick it for the betterment of your plants. I dont really see how or why youre defending the criminal in this case. Hes not saying that you should immediately shoot to kill, hes saying that if you do have to shoot, its in your best interest to kill.
The threat of the criminal hurting yourself or your family is too high to allow him free reign of your household "because you dont know his life". the fact is i dont give a shít what led him there, i give a shít that he is a threat
The comment section is a mess.
@HILife, I didn’t expect it to blow up like this
Boy, you haven't seen Pulp Fiction have you?
@Atomicking74, oh lord
“I felt threaten and my life was in danger, I had no choice officer...”
That's why after you shoot them, you shoot one in your ceiling as "a warning shot". But they just kept coming officer
This meme is brought to you by big daddy unlimited
Guns are bad
You hit my dog I don’t care if he’s still clamped onto your arm I sure hope you weren’t planning on using those eyes
