@Peachy Freaking Keen, Both are words in the dictionary with about the same meaning. Is there a connotation that I don't know about that makes that one more correct?
@TriangleTesticles, asocial is more not wanting to interact with people. Antisocial is more going against the law and stuff like that. They can mean the same thing, but asocial fits better.
@Peachy Freaking Keen, antisocial is actually a psychological classification of personality disorders.
@Peachy Freaking Keen, isn't it the other way around? Cause in German, we call people who are more likely to break the law asocial, and people like introverts and such antisocial.
@A pet named Steve, huh, really? That's neat! But in English (at least American English) asocial is just introverted and etc. It's just a weird difference I guess?
@Peachy Freaking Keen, i think going to this extreme would classify her as antisocial, as it's a legitimate mental condition
@TriangleTesticles, anti-social personality disorder is completely different than asocial. Anti social is a personality disorder in the DSM-5 which is used by registered psychologists, doctors and psychiatrists. Most asocial people don't like social situations, similar to asexual who don't like sex with other people. Anti-social people can be incredibly social but inappropriately (in various ways) so. Worth looking up.
@Peachy Freaking Keen, I've only ever heard and used antisocial for people who refuse to interact with other people. I'm on the West coast.
Reminds me of Maggie Lizer from Arrested Development
@Stacys daughter , I just watched that episode for the first time yesterday. Love that show. On topic: this woman is my hero
But could she see why kids love the taste if Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
I'd slip up when ever I saw a doggo or a puppers
Sometimes when I am at a store I pretend to be deaf so I don't have to talk to the cashier. I have learned a little sign language just so I can continue the illusion if need be.
Ever since I was little, I walked with my head face down to avoid looking at people. All of my teachers (in Mexico) would scold me for it. From primary School to highschool... I still do it.
Someone whom we can all look up to.
Oh wow. Is it too late to start pretending I'm blind at 33?
Me too lady, me too
There goes my hero...
