Fun fact: while '8' might be considered lucky, '4' is considered a 'cursed number' in Asian cultures.
@Prince super Vegeta , Isn't it something similar sounding to a word for death or something?
@Huffman880, as far as I know, not in Japanese or Korean but maybe other Asian languages, even though it symbolizes bad luck in those cultures
Edit: I just remembered, the pronunciation of 4 in Japanese is close to the word for death
@Prince super Vegeta , well 4 is my favourite number. Which would explain a lot..
@Prince super Vegeta , 4 in chinese is very close to the word die/death, so for the Chinese it's very unlucky
@Prince super Vegeta , 444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444
@Pierce Hawthorne, well 8 is mine, which explains absolutely fvcking nothing.
@A Math Dealer, if you get a phone call from 444-444-4444 don't pick it up
@Huffman880, it almost the same with death in Mandarin and Cantonese
@A Math Dealer, That means You are definetly dead
@Prince super Vegeta , In Japanese, one of the readings for the kanji meaning 4 is "shi." "Shi" also happens to be the reading for the kanji meaning die. So, yes in Japanese the superstition is still there.
@Grandad Henryk, yeah, I've been learning Japanese for a couple months now and remembered when I saw the kanji for 'death' in my flash cards
@Prince super Vegeta , nice. Ended up taking four classes of Japanese in college for my AA. Still trying to study my kanji even now. Keep it up. It is a pretty fun language to learn.
@Grandad Henryk, it really is. I just don't wanna take college classes because I don't wanna risk my gpa, engineering is killer enough, so I'm just learning on my own. I'll probably take paid classes once I graduate though, there's lots of great jobs in Japan for tech and research
@Prince super Vegeta , two negatives add up a positive
@Herpaderp1234, I... Is that a joke? I can't tell
Spends $145,000 on a $1,500 truck? Hwut Bobby?
@SpaceJams, Why do you make so many low quality comments, and then upvote them yourself?
And I thought custom plates in the US were expensive.
